New guy

My eyes were stuck with his. I felt like they were familiar yet I was sure I've never met him before. Sam pinched my hand breaking me out of my trance.

"What is it?"

She asked me.

"Nothing."

I replied her shaking my head. Mean while the new boy Nathan came near and sat on the seat next to me.

"Hey... I'm Nate"

He said smiling at me. But I couldn't smile. I felt like I knew him.

"Olivia"

I just muttered with a fake smile and looked at the teacher.

However Nate was really smart. He was able to answer all the questions Mr. Levi asked.

At the end of the period I quickly grabbed my things and walked out of the class with Sam. I had this weird uneasy feeling around Nate. May be it was because he is new or something.

"He is hot"

Sam swooned while fanning her self.

"Who?"

I asked her not knowing who she is talking about. There are many good looking boys in the school. Sam looked at me like I asked her a stupid question.

"Nate... you idiot... oh my... Did you see his eyes? So beautiful"

She said with a dreamy voice.

Yeah I have to agree with her. He is hot. But it's not like I'm going to say it loud.

"Hey Olivia... wait"

I heard someone calling me. I turned around and it was Nate.

"Hey... can I help you?"

I asked him. I could hear Sam sigh dreamy. I rolled my eyes in my mind.

"Yeah... actually since I'm new I don't know where my classes held or anything. So can you show me around... if you don't mind?"

Nate asked scratching behind his neck with a nervous smile.

'Well he looks like a good guy. Forget stupid uneasy feeling shits. Just help him.'

My inner voice said me. He really looked nervous. He doesn't look like he can do any harm. Also Sam was nagging me urging me to say yes.

"Yeah sure... I'll help you. Just give me your schedule"

This time I replied him with a real smile.

He gave me his schedule and we had the same classes before the lunch break.

"Well... we have the same classes before lunch break. Come with me."

I said him walking to the next class with him and Sam since she had the same class as me.

I blocked all the disturbing thoughts and got along with Nate. He was a decent guy and easy to talk with. We became friends fast.

I had to go to cafeteria with Nate since Sam had different class before the lunch.

"Nate... cafeteria is that way. I'll meet you there in few minutes. I have to go to the wash room."

I said him while showing the way to the cafeteria and turning around to go to the wash room.

I heard him saying

"I'll see you there"

As I expected Sam was in the wash room. It was her habit to go the wash room as soon as the bell rung. She really has a small bladder.

"Hey... Where is the hottie?"

She asked me while washing her hands.

"Who? Nate? He went to the cafeteria. You know he can't come here right?"

I said her nonchalantly. Stupid girl.

She just hummed as a reply touching up her makeup.

"You know what Oli?"

Sam asked me in an exited tone while we were walking toward cafeteria.

"What Sam?"

"I'm totally in the team Nate"

She said with a grin.

"What do you mean team Nate?"

I asked confused. Some times I really don't understand what is running inside of my best friends head.

"I mean... you and Nate look really cute together. Since you said that Kevin is just a friend, you can be more than friends with Nate right?"

She answered me grinning.

'Oh god not again'

"Really Sam... Will you stop trying to set me up with every guy you see? I'm not going to date Nate neither Kevin. OK. Stop trying Sam and please just get yourself a boyfriend."

I said a rolling my eyes.

"Come on Oli... do you want to be a single cat lady? You haven't been in a date like in a year... And also I'm currently single doesn't mean I'm always... Oli come on. Nate is also hot..."

She whined at me.

It is true. Sam had her fair share with boys. Her red hair and electric blue eyes always attracted boys and also with her olive skin and killer body she could get any boy she wants. But ever since her ex cheated on her with school slut Tiffany two years ago Sam never got in to a serious relationship with anyone.

Her relationships ended like in weeks or month.

"I know Sam he is hot. But-"

I couldn't complete my sentence because someone cut me off draping their arm around my shoulder.

"Who is hot Oli?"

I heard Kevin's familiar voice asking me. Damn!....
