“W-what do you mean?” Avery says as she opened the book because her curiousity got to her.
When Avery opened the book and read the contents, Avery dropped the book in shock.
“W-why is my name in this novel? W-why does this book describe me so perfectly?” Avery asked as she started to shake in fear.
Do I have a stalker that I don’t know about? Avery thought in fear.
“This is a romance novel in which real people are involved. I didn’t think much of it, but when I was reading the first chapter through, I realised it perfectly described you,” Jeanette says as she starts crying on the floor.
“W-why do they know so much about me?” Avery asked as she grabbed the book once more and this time read what it was about.
“Crown Prince appearance, Holly falls in love, Liam meets Holly, Villainess Avery downfall…” Avery reads some chapter titles outloud. Suddenly, Avery flipped to the chapter of her downfall and skimmed through.
“Y-you get killed by the Crown Prince,” Jeanette says as she wipes her tears, “you fell in love with the Crown Prince but you were jealous how he liked Holly so you tried to sabotage them. I helped you but we ended up getting killed by the Prince’s sword.” Jeanette sheds more tears once again.
As Jeanette was explaining, Avery stood in major shock.
“When does this all occur, Jeanette?” Avery asks.
“Next year, when we go to Dudamen Academy for the Elite.” Jeanette states. At that exact moment, Avery thought of the best idea.
“Then I won’t fall in love with the Crown Prince,” Avery states as she smirks to Jeanette who looks confused by the sudden statement.
---
After that day, Jeanette started to train for the upcoming year and their downfall. Avery started to practice swordfighting with her brother, Liam. When that was going on, Jeanette was prepping tools and preservatives they would need if they would have to leave the academy.
“So my brother falls in love with Holly too,” Avery says outloud as she reads the red velvet book that Jeanette let her borrow, “and he isn’t even my biological brother. My parents died a long time ago, but my current parents were friends with them…”
“Hey, what are you saying?” Liam walks into her room the same time Avery hides the book.
“Oh its nothing! I was just talking about how excited we get to be in the same academy next year!” Avery says as she smiles to Liam. Liam looks at her confused and then sits in one of Avery’s reading sofas. He eyes her and then scoffs.
“You have been acting weird ever since you came back with that red velvet book,” Liam continues, “then you started to join in on my swordship training.” He then glares at her, expecting to have a good reason to her recent activity.
“Uhh, so you see. Um,” Avery thought of a reason quickly before her brother suspected her, “I want to be a knight.” She blurts out the best possible reason other than her having to protect herself.
