Pt 4

The youngest nodded and waved. Left and started sprinting to the car.

To his dismay, he got traffic on his way there. It looked like everyone in the city was as late as he was for their weekend appointments. Jimin called Namjoon on the way apologizing at least 3 times before he even let Namjoon assure him that it was okay and that all he needed to do now is hurry up and go meet him. By the time he got to Namjoon’s company building he was exactly 3 hours and 14 minutes late.

“Fuck” he whispered to himself once he looked at the time shown on the radio display.

Once the car was parked, he got out of it and started sprinting again, this time in the direction of the front desk where he arrived out of nowhere, panting, almost scaring the poor reception lady to death.

“Hi.” Jimin greeted “I’m here to see Namjoon Hyung. He’s waiting for me.”

“Oh, Jimin it’s you, you scared me” the lady laughed as she typed in her keyboard “Okay, I just told him you’re here, you can go in!”

Jimin gave her a smile and started rushing one more time, his papers almost falling from his grip every turn he took on the way to Namjoon’s studio.

At this point Jimin was as good as blind, he didn’t see anything but the goal, that was to reach that studio as soon as possible, which was unfortunate since he knew almost everyone in the building and he felt bad that he just couldn’t stop to say hi. Why in the hell was everyone in the building on a Saturday? Thoughts like that entertained him as he rushed down the halls.

That was, until he was physically obliged to stop by someone else's body colliding with his. Although the collision wasn’t too strong both of them yelped in pain.

The moment they collided, Jimin’s head started aching like never before. The feeling was sharp like a knife but also nothing of the sort, all at the same time. He held his head with his hands taking a deep breath trying to not let the tears leave his eyes. Soon enough the pain vanished and he was able to look up and notice the guy in front of him.

He was as tall as Jimin was, if not a few centimetres or even millimeters taller, had messy fluffy black hair and a discomfort ridden expression, he was in pain too, it seemed. They ended up exchanging looks and, as their dark eyes met each other, the sharp feeling returned once again for a mere second.

“I’m so sorry, I was in a hurry and I didn’t look where I was going..” Jimin got up and offered his hand to the guy who was still on the floor while blurting out his apology.

He took Jimin’s hand as his expression went from annoyance to a small smile, nodding and acknowledging it apologetic words.

“It’s okay, just... Watch where you’re going next time.” His soft voice told the blonde man who looked panicked.

“Yea.” Jimin laughed nervously, glad that he wasn’t mad at him.

They locked gazes once again, this time for longer than just a few seconds, the affliction of his headache was gone and it seemed as if his hurry to go meet Namjoon was no longer there. Time had frozen and his worries had left his body. Jimin felt trapped, not in a bad way... or a good one for the matter! It was just... His eyes seemed to lure Jimin in and he couldn’t get out, and yet he didn’t dislike it one bit.

It seemed like an eternity when in reality it was only about 10 seconds before Jimin’s phone vibrated on his pocket and he returned back to boring earth with the worries and ticking precious time going by.

He shook his head, waking up the other guy as well, who reached for his phone on the other side of the hall as well as his jacket who had been scattered on the floor after the collision.

“Ah yea, I’m here, I just tripped,” he held his phone away and mouthed a bye to Jimin.

Jimin checked his phone after waving and apologizing once more, it was Namjoon.

Oh right, he cussed at himself.

Grabbing all his belongings and music sheets from the floor, Jimin rushed to Namjoon’s studio which happened to not be far from where he had his not so bitter collusion.

As he got there and raised his hand to knock on the door, Namjoon opened it and greeted his friend with a smile.

“You’re late.” The oldest said with a almost demonic smile, displaying his deep dimples to his friend.

“I know, I know and I’m so sorry, I just crashed against someone while I was heading here and-” Jimin tried to explain himself as fast as he could through panting but got interrupted.

“It’s okay,” Namjoon started laughing “I’m messing with you. Come in, I have everything ready. My meeting isn’t until after 3 pm, you’re fine.”

He nodded and followed him.

“So, who’d you crash against anyways?” Namjoon asked as he was getting the modified lyrics sheets ready to give to the other.

“I don’t know, he was about the same height as me, I don’t know if that’s enough to differentiate him from the rest of the workers here.”

“Oh m, Yoongi Hyung.” Namjoon chuckled "It's rare finding someone as short as you two."

“Hyung...!" Jimin whined "He was nice about it so I’m sure it’s okay.”

At this point Jimin had forgotten about the pain he felt on his head, all he cared about was finishing what his friend had asked from him so that he could go back to his own studio and finish the choreography he had left midway through the night before.
