Seoul felt colder after the London trip. Maybe it was the jet lag.
Maybe it was the unease that clung to Jungkook’s skin like an invisible second layer—something he couldn’t explain.
He hadn’t even told his coworkers about the strange encounter.
That a passenger with a godlike face and a terrifying smile had hit on him mid-air like he was choosing dessert off a menu?
That he had lingered in crew-only areas and spoken in half-sentences that felt like threats dressed as compliments?
Jungkook tried to forget it.
He had landed, gone home, taken a long bath, and buried himself under the covers.
He told himself it was just a weird incident with a powerful man too used to getting his way.
He didn’t know Taehyung yet.
Jungkook’s shift had just ended when he stepped out of the staff exit at Incheon.
The sky was dim, the evening light painting the parking lot in soft oranges and greys.
He was checking his phone when a sleek black car pulled up right in front of him.
The back window rolled down. And there he was.
Taehyung asked, his tone too calm, too casual, like this was the most normal thing in the world.
Jungkook stopped walking. He didn’t even blink. His heart dropped into his stomach like a stone.

What the hell—

How did you know I was—?
Kim Taehyung
I called the airline.
Kim Taehyung
Told them I wanted to send a thank-you gift to the crew of K701.
Kim Taehyung
They gave me the roster.
Jungkook felt his jaw lock.
Jeon Jungkook
That’s illegal.
Taehyung tilted his head.
Kim Taehyung
Is it? I made a donation to their employee fund.
Kim Taehyung
I just needed your name. The rest... was easy.
Jeon Jungkook

Taehyung corrected smoothly.

Jungkook exhaled, eyes sharp.

Taehyung’s lips curled into a smile that wasn’t a smile at all.
Kim Taehyung
I would… if I thought you meant it.
Jungkook stepped back, gripping his bag tighter.
Jeon Jungkook
I’m not interested. What happened on the flight wasn’t flirting.
Jeon Jungkook
I was being professional. And now, you’re being disgusting.
