Later, when the cabin lights dimmed further and most passengers had settled into their movies or reclined to sleep,
Jungkook walked to the rear galley to prepare the next service.
His hands were steady, but his mind was elsewhere—on those eyes, that smile, the way the man had looked at him like he was prey.
He didn’t hear the footsteps until the voice whispered behind him.
Kim Taehyung
Working too hard for someone so beautiful.
Taehyung stood behind him, arms crossed, unbothered by the ‘Crew Only’ sign behind him.
Jeon Jungkook
You’re not allowed back here
Jungkook said immediately.
Jeon Jungkook
Please return to your seat, sir.
Taehyung said, eyes drifting lazily over the neat stacks of cups and cartons behind Jungkook.
Kim Taehyung
I just wanted to talk. You seemed in a hurry earlier.
Jungkook stepped to the side, creating distance.
Jeon Jungkook
If you have any request, use the call button.
Kim Taehyung
I have a request,
Taehyung said softly, voice dropping to a murmur.
Kim Taehyung
Dinner with me. Once we land.
Jungkook laughed—short, sharp, humorless.
Jeon Jungkook
Iam dating someone already
He lied to get out of that uncomfortable situation...Taehyung tilted his head.
Kim Taehyung
And yet... you didn’t say no.
Jeon Jungkook
I didn’t want to embarrass you,
Jungkook snapped, stepping back further.
Jeon Jungkook
But you’re making me regret that choice.
Taehyung didn’t move, but his smile faded slightly.
Not in offense—something darker. Interest. Curiosity. Delight in resistance.
Kim Taehyung
So your boyfriend... is he the jealous type?
Jungkook’s face turned to stone.
Jeon Jungkook
He’s the type who would kill for me.
Taehyung’s lips parted slightly, as though that had turned him on more than anything else.
Kim Taehyung
Then I’ll be careful. For now.
And without another word, he stepped back and left, disappearing into the shadows of the cabin.
When the flight finally landed, and passengers filed out one by one,
Jungkook stood at the exit to bid them goodbye. His smile had returned—distant, professional.
And then Taehyung appeared.
He paused at the door, too close. Too bold.
He leaned in, his breath brushing Jungkook’s ear.
Kim Taehyung
I’ll see you again, Jeon Jungkook.
Jungkook turned his face just enough to look him in the eye.
Jeon Jungkook
I truly hope not,
Kim Taehyung
But I always get what I want.
And then he walked out into the night, leaving behind the scent of cologne and something far more suffocating...
