Jungkook asked gently, voice smooth as silk, laced with practiced warmth.

His eyes, however, didn’t quite meet Taehyung’s. Politeness, not connection.

Taehyung tilted his head

Kim Taehyung

Neither

He said, his voice low, velvet-like, touched with something unreadable.

Kim Taehyung

I’d prefer something... sweeter.

There was a pause—just a breath—but enough for something to flicker behind Jungkook’s composed eyes.

A flicker he extinguished immediately.

Jeon Jungkook

I can offer you orange juice, apple juice, or a mocktail,

Jeon Jungkook

If you’d prefer something non-alcoholic.

Taehyung chuckled, soft and dangerous.

Kim Taehyung

That’s not what I meant.

His gaze dropped, deliberately, to Jungkook’s lips.

Jungkook stood a little straighter.

Jeon Jungkook

I'll get you apple juice

He said, already turning away, not waiting for a response.

Taehyung’s smirk deepened as he watched him go.

When Jungkook returned a minute later, the glass in hand, his eyes met Taehyung’s for the briefest moment—and that was a mistake.

Taehyung saw it.

That tiny, involuntary flicker of discomfort.

Like a deer catching scent of something in the wind. He saw it, and it thrilled him.

Jungkook placed the glass on the tray.

Jeon Jungkook

If there’s anything else you need, please press the call button

He said.

Kim Taehyung

I’ll need your name first

Taehyung said, casually.

Kim Taehyung

It’s unfair. You know mine.

He nodded toward his boarding pass resting on the tray—Kim Taehyung, CEO of KNT Holdings, VIP member.

Jungkook’s jaw flexed. But he didn’t smile this time.

Jeon Jungkook

He replied.

Jeon Jungkook

Now if you’ll excuse me—

Taehyung murmured, as Jungkook stepped away.
