Daria.
The wounded were accommodated in what little remained of the grand house that the alphas had inhabited for generations.
I knew that the alpha would take care of us as he had promised, but I also understood how difficult it would be to find a place for everyone.
With my father's help, I cared for the wounded, but it was very difficult not having enough room for everyone. The night was terrible, as the cold and lack of food were making everyone desperate. The older ones could understand the situation, but the younger ones couldn't, so many were crying.
The situation worsened with the hours, as more and more wounded appeared.
With nothing else to do, the alpha ordered us all to go to the Crescent Moon pack, which was the closest, so to speak. Reaching it would take us five days walking, two if we did it transformed, and three by car. However, that was the dilemma, as the wounded could not transform as they were children, and there was not enough transport for everyone.
So, the alpha sent several to prepare everything for our arrival. He sent the wounded by car, and those of us who were in perfect condition would travel on the backs of the warriors, of course, I would go on the back of Maximum, my father's wolf.
The journey was uneventful, we made two stops to rest and feed ourselves with what little we had. The great resistance of the warriors made us arrive sooner than expected.
After more than thirty hours of travel, in the distance I could see how large buildings emerged from the trees, we had finally arrived.
My father's wolf stopped suddenly, causing me to almost fall off his back. I managed to hold on as best I could, the others stopped when they saw my father do it.
"What's wrong, Maximum?" He asked him.
He was very restless, I could feel it. The alpha approached us in his wolf form. Apparently, they were communicating. Then he howled, and the warriors made everyone get off their backs, I was confused and fearful, as I feared that something serious was about to happen.
Everyone returned to their human form, I closed my eyes, as most were men, so, although it was normal, I felt ashamed to see them naked.
"Daria," my father spoke to me. I opened my eyes, he was already dressed, my eyes met his, finding that they were glassy.
"What's wrong?" I approached him, and he hugged me. I could feel his body trembling. "Dad." I spoke to him again, as he didn't answer me.
"She's here," were the words that came out of his trembling lips. But what did that mean?
I looked at the alpha to see if he would tell me what was happening, but he only gave me a smile, confusing me even more. My father took my hand, and we walked to the entrance of the pack.
There, a large group of people was waiting for us. But there were two people who stood out among all.
One of them was a beautiful woman, she was wearing a warrior's outfit, her skin was very white, and her hair was as black as night. Her eyes were clear, there was a big smile on her face, and her eyes were full of tears. She looked at my father in a strange way, and I still didn't understand.
The other was a man of about twenty-five years old, he was tall, his hair was blond, and his skin white. He, like the woman, was wearing a warrior's outfit. His brown eyes were fixed on me. But I ignored that fact and focused on the woman, who, upon being near, ran to us and hugged my father.
"Mate," my father whispered.
At that moment it dawned on me, that's what he meant when he told me that she was here. This woman was my father's mate and, therefore, could be my mother.
Although that had to be impossible, because unlike her and my father, my hair was white as snow, my eyes were in an almost red tone.
"You don't know how long I've been looking for you," said the woman, approaching me after letting go of my father.
I was static, she caressed my face with tenderness.
"How you've grown, my child." My heart jumped, this woman really was my mother.
She was really beautiful, her eyes looked at me with warmth, giving me peace. Something told me that by her side I would be safe.
"Well, this is a great surprise, Agustin, friend, how happy I am to see you again," said an imposing-looking man, leading me to identify him as the alpha.
My father looked at him without understanding, as we had not yet said that he had no memories of his past.
"Alpha William, he has no memory of his past," our alpha intervened. "I gave him a name, it's Mario."
"I understand, we will have time to talk later, for now welcome," said Alpha William.
I was still in shock, many things had happened in less than four days, first the destruction of the pack in which I had grown up, then this.
Although deep down I was happy that Dad was with his partner, but I needed to hear what had happened. How did they end up separated? Why didn't she find us before?
I had many questions, but I had to be patient. We would have time to talk later. For now, the important thing was that they were together.
Dad was happy, he still found it hard to believe that he was in front of his mate. His eyes looked at her in a way I had never seen before; was it love? It had to be that, because the luminosity of his eyes was something he didn't have before.
Everyone welcomed us, including the Luna, who hugged me.
"This has to be a miracle of the goddess Luna, Alina, your daughter is beautiful," she commented as she stroked my head.
"She is, Luna, the goddess worked the miracle I've been asking her for years," added the woman who claims to be my mother.
