Chapter 5: Expectation

Ren sensei was smirking at me while grabbing me by my waist.

"Umm...You are heavy. Can you get up?"

" Uh. Ohh..sorry. I wasn't looking at where I am steppi..wait a sec...what are you doing here?"

"Guarding the princess is the duty of the knight. Didn't you know?"

"You are being disgusting. And don't think you evaded the question and I didn't notice."

" Oh..you could tell?"

"Of course. What am I? An idiot?"

"No. But someone with a pea sized brain though."

Now he is getting on my nerve. "What are you doing here...answer it. You aren't stalking me by any chance are you?"

"Eh..?" He gasped in surprise. "You could tell?"

The heck is wrong with him. I looked at the bus coming and decided to ignore this shithead. As I rided the bus he rided it following me. I looked at him with an annoyed look.

"What? I go by bus too you know." he said sheepishly.

"Then what was the car about yesterday?"

"Oh that one?" He scrached his head. "Will you believe me if I said it is my father's?"

He is being a total idiot. I stopped talking and took out my i-pod. I started listening to my favourite song. I could feel his stare on me. Which was bothering me.

"What now?" I asked annoyed.

"You are not talking anymore.."

"Huh?"

"Talk with me."

"Why should I?"

"Because I am your teacher and I am asking you to do so."

"That's some shitty abuse of authority there.." I rolled my eyes.

"Language dear. No one talkes to their teacher like that. Depending what you say I might have to punish you."

Is this guy outta his mind? The heck is he saying in the bus when he is a teacher himself.

I kept staring at him in disbelief. But what I saw was something I didn't recognise as the Ren-chan at school at all. His eyes has became darker as if he is looking at something similar to prey.

Soon his eyes changed back to his normal cheery teary doggy eyes.

"What? Why the silence?"

"Never mind." I decided not to think about it anymore.

Suddenly I was reminded of yesterday. Alana Hosokawa.

"By the way. Who is Alana Hosokawa?" I asked.

"I believe it's you?"

"But how did you know?"

"That is..." He looked at me. Then he smiled and said, "That's a secret for now."

What? What is his deal and what's with this bizzere secrecy of his.

"That's okay. Keep your secret as much as you want. But you can not call me by that name. There's a reason I am Arana now."

" Oh...And what may it be?"

"None of your concern."

The bus was already near our destination. I got off the bus and strode faster so he won't catch up. After reaching the school gate I looked back and couldn't find him.

"So he didn't follow..." I thought.

Then the realization hit me.

Why did it sound like I wanted him to follow me.
