Chapter 4: On the way

I woke up after the alarm. Last night I couldn't sleep at all. Sensei was all I could think about. How did he know the name Alana Hosokawa.

The curiosity is killing me but nothing can be solved yet. I got out of bed, took a shower and after getting ready for school I went downstairs.

"Hi dad."

"Morning princess..sit down. Breakfast is ready." My father kissed me on the forehead.

"Ohayo ohime-shama" My sister laughed while saying. She was already stuffing her mouth with the egg sandwich father made. Her favourite.

"Ohayo little pumpkin." I smiled at her.

My sister pouted. "I'm no pumpkin. I am fairy"

She is learning japanese a little bit at a time. She was born in USA and brought up there up until now thus making her more fluent in english than japanese itself.

We moved to USA five years ago due to my father's business which has flourished there more than in Japan. My mother was diagnosed with cancer while we were living there. Last year after she passed away we decided to move in Japan for indefinite period.

It has been only a little while since I had started a normal life again after her death. My sister was 3 years old back then so making her forget about mother was quite easy than everyone thought would be. But it left a deep scar inside me. My mother was the closest friend to me and the only best friend whom I would confide into.

I couldn't have gotten over her at all if my sister wasn't there to remind me of how I have to live on. Only her smile is enough to light up my day.

Yes. She is a fairy. I'd say a Fairy godmother.

I hugged her and kissed on the chick.

"Yes my Fairy, finish your breakfast. Faster. We are gonna be late for school."

" I can drop her off to school you know." my dad insisted.

"No dad. it's okay. If I'm not late you don't have to. It's on the way so might as well do so."

" Okay dear, take it easy. 'kay?"

" Mmhmm.."

I finished my breakfast and with my sister I started walking to the direction of her school. It was 5 minutes away from our home. After dropping her off to kindergarden I started walking towards the bus-stop.

I was waiting for bus when suddenly I saw a kitty being chased by a dog. Being the cat-lover I am I decided to rescue that poor feline. The kitten was scared as suddenly instead of coming straight toward me it jumped to the road and crossed it. Now the dog chasing it was just 5 feets away from me.

My main objective being the kitten I was not scared of the dog at first at all. But now that the cat was not in sight anymore and the dog was coming toward me I got scared AF and started backing off. I couldn't see behind and just as I was gonna trip on something, someone grabbed me by my waist.

" !!..saaafe. Aracchi look around you more properly or people will take advantage you know.."

I know this voice. Just as I looked back I saw the person I wanted to see least after yesterday.

"Ren-chan" was looking at me with his signature smirk.
