The Fall of a King pt.2

Leragia heard a massive explosion while flying towards the castle, she knew what the explosion was and what her brother must have done. She sped up towards the castle. She has to inform the king for his help. She thought,

"None of us can stand a chance against them. He's the only one who can hold his own in a fight."

As she was flying away the 2nd ranked demon lord Dramiac, the half demon half dragon high breed. He was the second strongest demon lord among the generals. He was proficient in defensive magic and thus known as the kings unbreakable shield. He was facing down 3 angels by himself. He couldn't hurt them but due to his magic they couldn't kill him either.

One of the angels fully opened its wings and bright light came from it, what ever the light came in contact with started burning. Dramiac understanding the situation immediately put up a barrier that  reversed everything that touched it, the light bounced of his barrier. Another angel came in for a melee attack but got reflected by the same barrier. He had to do something soon because this magic used a lot of mana which he couldn't waste at the moment. He put down the barrier and flew upwards so that he could get out of the light. When out he raised his arms towards the angle and casted another barrier, this time it was a sphere capturing the angle. He quickly moved his hands down causing the sphere to go crashing down to the ground. The other angel  came to tackle him but got stopped a few inches away from his by a barrier that slowed anything it came in contact with to a stop. He then swang his hand to the side hitting the angel away.

As he was fighting the two angels a third angel was floating above them just watching. It then suddenly decided to move when it saw that the other two were unable to damage Dramiac. He saw the third angel shooting toward him at high speeds. He raised another barrier infront of him to intercept the attack but the angel disappeared and appeared behind him. He looked back as he thought to himself,

"Damn, it can teleport?"

It then got ready for a punch witch Dramiac reacted by putting up another barrier. The angel fully extended its arm completing the punching motion while still being several feet away from him. Dramiac thought,

"Its not even close. What's it thinking?"

As he was thinking this he suddenly felt a massive shock of pain in his stomach. He coughed up blood as he began to fall towards the ground. He said,

"What did he.."

Before he could finish the angel threw punch after punch in the air at rapid succession. Dramiac started screaming in pain as he felt the impact of every single one of them. The angel had the power of spacial link. It could link any parts of space it wanted. This allowed it to link the space behind Dramiac and itself which allowed it to teleport behind him. Linking the space where its punch ended and the space where Dramiac occupied it managed to hit him even while being far away from him.

He was getting hit nonstop. Every single one of them being absurdly powerful. He had an idea, he casted a barrier that wrapped around his skin. He had to be careful no not cut his flesh off while forming the shield. It worked. The punches were hitting the shield instead. Though the force was strong enough to knock him around back and forth but because it didn't directly hit him he wasn't being damaged anymore. The angel stopped punching in the air. It looked at him for a short moment and then pulled its arm back getting ready to throw another punch. Dramiac looked at the angel with a grin on his face thinking,

"Try all you want, you can't hit me anymore you glowing freak."

 The angel swang its fist forward and Dramiac dropped to his knee clenching his chest. He was feeling unbearable pain as he was trying his best not to fall down from it. The angel had linked the space of the end of his fist with the space inside his body on his heart. Thus the angel had striked directly at his heart. Dramiac's shield covering his body shattered as he could not concentrate enough to keep in up because of the pain. He thought as he gasped for air,

"I can't block his attacks. It's like no matter what they'll always hit. What do I do now?"

He was panicking about what to do, about how to counter the enemies unavoidable attack. He looked at the angel as it was about to throw another punch, but this time as the angel extended its arm he rolled to the side at exactly the right moment as if it was reflex. He didn't get hit. There was a shockwave where he was standing. That's it. It's not unavoidable it's just far reaching. All I have to do is time my dodges as he strikes. He found a way to counter but it was still too late, he was heavily injured and one or two more hits would be all it takes to bring him down for good. He was on high alert looking at the angel in the sky with a keen eye, ready to react to any of its attacks. He was focusing so much at the threat above that he didn't notice the threat beside him. The other two angels he was fighting before jumped at him pinning him down to the ground. He struggled but he was too weak to move as he looked towards the angel flying high in the sky as it raised its hand and swiftly flicked its fist causing Dramiacs head fling back. The angel hit him directly on his brain causing him to almost lose consciousness. He was paralized, he couldn't move. A smile formed on his face as he thought,

"So this is it, huh? This is how I'll die? Hahahahahahahaha. No! Who do you think I am? I'm the kings trusted shield. If you think you can kill me just like that you're mistaken. If you want to kill me or dare hurt our great nation I'll at least take you down with me."

He began gathering up mana at his core planning to detonate it like Lerago. He was prepared to end his life to protect his king. The angle raised its arm and pointed towards him preparing an attack as he does so. They had their eyes locked at each other racing to complete their attacks before the other but then a sudden rumbling sound could be heard as the ground beneath them starts to shake violently. The angels pinning him down let go and flew up to the other angel. They were all looking at the same direction. Following their line of sight he saw that they were looking at the capital. A slight smile formed on his face as stopped charging his core and thought to himself,

"He's here......there's no need to worry anymore....I ask of you..my king..please..bring us victory"

As he said those words his eyes closed.
