The fall of a king pt.1

Before the war ended and after the arrival of the angels when the demon army was getting pushed back from all sides, a meeting was held in the demom kingdom of Tiamon by the current king Ryzen. In the meeting room all the generals who were also known as the demon lords were present except for Viral who was killed.

King Ryzen then spoke to everyone present,

"I'm sure everyone here knows about the current situation of the war."

One of the generals replied,

"Yes my lord. The arrival of an unknown enemy has caused the war to go against our favor."

The one who replied was the 4th ranked general, a female demon lord named Mira.

The 2nd ranked demon lord Fafnir a half dragon - half demon then added,

"They use a strange power that we can't figure out. It's not affected by magic so we can't stop them."

Multiple generals agreed with the 2nd and 4th ranks statement.

The 6th rank demon lord added,

"We had to pull our armies back after facing loss after loss."

His twin sister the 7th ranked demon lord said,

"We got information that the alliance are preparing an attack at our capital."

Listening to everyone, king Ryzen said,

"Inform the people and tell them they have two choices. Run away from all this and live the last moments of their life however the please, immersing theirselves in any pleasure they can. Or stand against their fate, fight for our country. Go out in a blaze of glory."

He stops for a moment and then speaks again,

"Tell them, the great nation of Tiamon will fall. There is nothing we can do about it anymore, it's fate is sealed. I will not judge what they choose"

The lords spoke up and said,

"We will stand by your side, your majesty. We don't free death, we will follow your will."

The king smiled and said,

"No matter what they do or what will happen I will not falter. I will see our ambitions through to the end no matter the outcome. Even if I fail, even if everything is burnt to the ground, if only one person comes out of this alive our purpose and our ambitions will be carried on with them. We will achieve our glory. Hail Tiamon!"

All the generals,

"Hail Tiamon! Glory to the empire."

The meeting ended. Everyone left for their duties. The king went to his chambers, he had called his son there to. He sat down with him patting his head and said,

"How are you, son?"

The child looked down and said,

"Yes..."

He paused for a moment and asked his son,

"Is it true? Will our home be destroyed?"

Ryzen just looked at him for a while and said,

"No, even if our nation is destroyed, our home will still be in our hearts."

He then says again,

"Listen son, I have an important job for you, so listen closely."

A few days later, The king is seen sitting on his throne. A guard came to him and said while kneeling down,

"My king, they are here. We are being attacked. The lords have engaged in combat."

King Ryzen said in a soft tone,

"Is that so, looks like it's time."

Meanwhile on the edge of the city the 6th and 7th lord are engaged in combat with the elven force accompanied by 3 angels.

The 2nd lord in engaged with the beastmen with 2 angels. The 4th, 5th and 8th lords are in combat in the east and the rest are in the west. They were being attacked from all directions.

With lord 6th and 7th, the twin lightning elemental demons. 6th demon lord Lerago using his lightning magic to cover his arms and legs to form armor cutting through elves at blinding speeds. He has a frustrated expression on his face, taking out all his anger towards the invaders who dare to oppose the Tiamon empire. The 7th demon lord Leragia the twin sister of Lerago, flew up into the air forming a large dark storm cloud that started raining lightning at the elven forces. The duo were unstoppable until the angles confronted them.

Lerago immediately charged them following a zig zag pattern. With his insane speed he appeared behind the angel, he went in to punch it with his lightning gauntlets but instantly dropped to the ground breaking the concrete around where he fell. He tried his hardest but couldn't get up.

The angel was manipulating gravity to pin Lerago to the ground. It then raised its arm and he got pulled towards the angel, when Lerago got close enough it punch him and sent him crashing into nearby rubble.

Seeing Lerago get sent flying Leragia created another gigantic storm cloud and shot lightning at the angel, it dodged the strikes fairly easily and seeing this she got ready to fire even more bolts when another angle showed up infront of her and using air pressure to create and shoot a ball of ultra dense wind at her. Being at point blank range she couldn't dodge it and got hit out of the sky. It then moved its hand across from one side to another sending a blade of wind towards Leragia, it was super sharp and she knew she would get cut in half if she got hit. She was still recovering from its earlier attack so she couldn't get out of the way, she braced for impact but befor she got hit she got moved out of the way by Lerago who ran at her full speed.

He managed to get her out of the way but was noy standing infornt of three angles. He told Leragia,

"We can't do this. I'll distract them while you get out of here."

She replied back ,

"What are you saying? That I should run away or I'll just get in your way."

Lerago shouted back,

"Shut up and just do what I say! What good will it do if both of us dies!"

He then dashed at the angles pushing Leragia back. She looked at him and then flew away frustrated. Lerago charged towards the wind manipulating angel but got pulled away by the angle with gravity powers, as he was moving towards the angle he smirked as he said,

"This is it. Time for you to die you bastards!!!"

His chest started to glow followed by a huge explosion. He overclocked his mana core and blew it up. The explosion caused damage to the angels but not enough to cause mortal injuries.

Leragia heard an explosion as she was flying away towards the castle. She had a sad expression on her face as she knew what that meant.
