This shouldn’t be happening, I shouldn’t get nervous after seeing him, he means nothing to me but still I just can’t take my eyes off him. When we entered the Hall the first person I saw was him in his blue suit, chatting happily with our college friends. Even though his back is towards me I can still recognise him and the way his shoulders tense up when I get closer to him shows that he has also felt my presence, I greet all my friends before finally looking at him to congratulate him but before I can do so my college friends see Rahul and the kids and start asking questions about us and we have a hard time explaining that we are just friends and he’s just the kids godfather while I’m their mother. I look for my love as my friends are busy admiring my kids, I find him in the same position staring at me and my kids, I take this chance and go towards him and whisper in his ears that a good show is about to begin so get prepared, he tenses up more and the smile he had earlier is entirely gone now, good you won’t be smiling often from today on are my thoughts as I go back to my kids.

After 20 minutes his fiancée finally makes her appearance, dressed in red saree and accompanied by her family members and she goes to stand by his side while their family members greet each other. I and my group of friends sit together and the way we are talking about her it’s clears that none of us like her, I guess being apart for long has not affected our taste, while other as still talking Rahul whispers to me.

I think his choice has gone to worst. No wonder he lost you...i don’t think I can even compare her to you.

I know that but still this girl is his first love or so.... Whatever that is and after seeing her I’m sure that I can’t let my kids have her as a step mother.
