The same day.......
I spent most of the time running around classes, since I was a Economics student, the lectures weren't that long but there were a lot of classes to attend.
By the time university was over, I was more than exhausted and was waiting to get home as soon as possible. Until I forgot one little thing.....it was the club activities.
I WAS DEFINITELY NOT UP FOR MORE WORK! But it had to be done so I just went back reluctantly to where I had to be. I was greatly tired and I didn't have a good night's sleep yesterday.
"Sigh" as I walk up the alley really demotivated, thinking about how to make dinner and stuff and more importantly., SLEEP. As I dwell in my own thoughts, I unknowingly- rather accidentally- dash into a student as she complained back after falling aback. "WHERE THE HELL YOU LOOKIN AND WALKING AT!?!?" she shouts at me with a annoying little piece of her temper which made me look like the one at mistake-which I was.
Well I do admit I was at fault, but it was a straightforward path. There was no way a completely aware person would dash straight through purposely.
"Weren't you lost in thought too?" was the argument I guessed in my defence, and it seriously worked. "What the hell!?!" As she reacted in a flustered way and started walking away with her documents in her hands, completely ignoring my presence. I soon just gave up on what happened, saying " whatever", and just went and did my stuff.
Club work was done and I was in a completely washed and dead state. It was already late at night and I had given up my plans of cooking dinner .So, like any other hard working person.......I went to a restaurant for dinner.......Real stuff right here (I apologize for my lack of humor).
I entered a fast food eatery that was open at that time and ordered a big bowl of <
....and I was bored and was having memories of the incident that happened before with that girl. Now that I look upon it, she might look nerdy and quirky with the glasses and over-the-top formal dressing, but she was quite the good looker. I soon realized ........that I was acting like quite the creep. Shutting down my thoughts,
I silently wait for my Mac'n'cheese while to my surprise, the same girl from before was at the same restaurant as i was. Speak of the devil.
Whatever coincidence that was, I was not pleased, I purposely averted my attention towards her and didn't even think of bothering her as I could sense she might be dangerously annoying if the situation demanded.
Sooner or later, she barged into the table that I was sitting and was asking- more like threatening- for my attention.
"Hey you!" she said in a proud way. "You can hear me, can't you......DONT LOOK AWAY!?". As I could do nothing but give up, I finally satrted listening to her rant. That followed with a three second silence.
"I'm sorry"
"...huh?"
"I said I'm sorry!!"
"Uhh....okay"
It was certainly awkward. I was afraid she thought I was some sort of stalker or something. Well I was glad she didn't misunderstand and we were able to carry out some conversation.
"You're not as creepy as I thought
But you basically have no expression on that dry little face, do you?"
What she said might have hit a little close to home but it was a common thing for everyone to say about me.
So I just replied with a little chuckle and move on.
I got to know quite a little about her whilst the conversation. Her name was Ruri, who was the same age as I. She was a lively girl who had a tad bit of temper and was hugely absent minded. She was a literature student at our university. She stays almost near my house and is kind of a free spirit from what I observed(I might be a creep but this is some shitty story written by some random brat so who cares).
We continued our talk smoothly while having dinner and she soon thanked for the company and left. I sat down there thinking that she might not be as bad as I thought. As the waiter comes in with the bill of both the customers. I didn't need the waiter to tell explain the situation while I was at a "what" state.
With no other choice , I had to pay for the bill, with my opinions on that damn lass reverting to the same. Although , while walking on the dimly lit paths I did feel a sense of calmness and I thought to myself......
"It's been a while since I had a good chat with someone"
And those were the moments that brought forth many more....
