Chapter 5

As they didn't go to work the day before, there was a pile of work waiting for them to read through. Riley sat down in her seat and started looking through the documents. George also grabbed the file he was reading before Riley came and continued.

Suddenly he said, "Tony called last night...", and before he could finish Riley interrupted, " don't tell me he also knows about my marriage ".

"Lucky you, he doesn't", George answered with a smile. " Then why did he call?",she asked.

"Nothing, he just wanted to ask how we have been without him and William", Riley realized something and asked, " You are purposely teasing me, right?"

George laughed and said, "opps, I have been found out".

Riley didn't know what to say. She was really afraid of William and Tony. Especially, Tony. If he knows about her marriage, what would he do? Kill Jadon Li? She gets chills just from thinking about it. How can a gangster be a doctor? She can't figure it out at all.

The two read through all the documents and didn't even have lunch. At 6p.m. Riley managed to make George get off work and to eat something.

She also promised to go after a while but she lost track of time when working and it was already 8 when she finally finished.

She opened the drawer and took out the file which contained the divorce agreement. She has to make Jadon Li sign that before William's arrival or she is dead for sure.

After taking the file and her things, she went to the star-light garden. The most expensive and luxurious place in Country Z. As she arrived, she forgot which floor Jadon Li's apartment was. Although all of them (Riley, George, Tony and Jadon) were billionaires they chose to live in apartments. They weren't fans of mansions. Only William Smith lived in a mansion.

She called Jadon Li's secretary, Mark and asked him.He told her that the apartment was on the 35th floor which was the highest floor in this building. The whole floor belongs to Jadon.

She went up to the 35th floor and opened the room with the card she got from mark on her wedding day.

As soon as she goes in, she hears someone say, "You know how to come back huh?".

It was Jadon Li. He seemed angry. Although he didn't love her, she was now Mrs.Li and this woman ran away right after the wedding to drink with a man yesterday and now she came back so late.

This morning when he saw the blood stains,he was guilty and wanted to be responsible for her. Even if he can't give her his love, he has the ability to make her the most admired woman in this world. But she doesn't seem to care about him at all.

She ran away from their wedding and she stayed out till late at night. And to make things worse, he couldn't investigate about her at all.

He tried and found that everything about her was blocked by someone.Only some basic information could be found. He ordered Mark to use all connections to find out who she exactly was.

He came back from work early hoping to see her at home. But she was no where to be found. He waited for her for 2 hours in the house and when she finally came back, she forgot the floor? Who does she think he is? He was very angry. No one has ever made him wait for that long.
