Chapter 4

At the Star-light garden,

Jadon Li woke up and remembered about last night. He actually fell into the old man's trap.Last night when he came back with Riley, he called the butler and his wife as Riley was drunk and needed to change her clothes.But instead they drugged his water and made him sleep with her.

He looked beside him but there was no one. He got up to take his phone to call Mark, his secretary but when he got up from bed he saw some blood stains on the bed.

"damn it", he cursed and ran out of the room hoping to find Riley in the kitchen and to apologize but there was no one.

The apartment was empty. He thought she felt embarrassed and ran away. He decided not to divorce anymore and be responsible for her.

He called Mark to investigate everything about her. What she likes and so on.The he took a shower and got ready for work.

George came back with some sea food noodles and two cans of coffee. Sea food noodles from the shop opposite their school was Riley's favorite. She ate those whenever she came here.

Both of them ate and chatted a little. After finishing breakfast, Riley told George that she wanted to go to summer's place and asked him to go to the office.

She went to summer's place and knocked on the door.Her best friend opened the door and hugged her.

"look who decided to visit me", summer said angrily. " I am sorry summer, I was busy with work so I didn't have time to go out with you", she said and came inside the house.

Seeing the house in the mess, she signed. Summer was the young lady of the Ye family but not only did she run away from home,she didn't even look like a young lady of a rich family at all.

"Did your house get robbed or what?", she teased. "I don't have time to clean this house. I just got a job at a design company and have been a little busy", Summer replied and started to clean up a little.

Summer's dream was to become a designer, just like her boyfriend. He was also the reason Summer ran away from home. Although Thomas is a good designer and has potential, he came from a normal family so the ye family refused to let them be together which resulted in Summer running away.

"Let me do that. You should get ready for work or you will be late",Riley said taking over the things in her hands.Summer nodded and went to take a shower. Riley helped summer clean up her apartment and went into the kitchen to make her some breakfast.

When summer came out of her room, she was shocked and asked, " Riley, is it really my apartment?", the room was very clean and she couldn't even recognize it anymore.

Riley laughed and told her to sit down for breakfast. She made her some pancakes and a cup of coffee.

Summer sat down at the dining table across form Riley and said, "Riley, I want to marry you", Riley laughed and replied, " what about Thomas?", Summer said, "I don't love him anymore, I love you please marry me", Riley made a scared face and said, " no, I am afraid Thomas will kill me if I take you away from him", and both of them laughed.

After breakfast, it was time for summer to go to work so they left together. After sending summer to work, she felt guilty for making George do her part of work so she also went to work.

There her assistant,Linda greeted her, "Good morning, president Zheng", " good morning",she replied with a smile and went into her office. She saw George looking through the files carefully in her seat and smiled.

"hey George, I never thought you would be that hardworking", she teased him and he looked up and smiled.

" Riley, you are finally here, if you come any later I would die from a headache", he said and got up to give Riley her seat.

Riley laughed hard and said, "oh, really, then for your health, why don't we give the VP position to someone else? ", George has been the VP for three years since the company was built and she knows he is the best but she couldn't help teasing him.

George smirked and said, " I am the best in the whole company, of course except for you. so no one is better than me to be the VP. and also, you couldn't bear to let me leave, Right?", Riley didn't say anything and only smiled. Of course she couldn't bear to let him leave.

Not only George Lu is the youngest master of the Lu cooperation, he is the best VP and her best friend who she could lean on any time she wanted.

He could be more successful than now if he worked in Lu cooperation but he chose to work in this company together with her. She could never describe how grateful she is towards him and the others.
