“It got really dark. It will take a while to reach the barrier so why don’t you tell me about system’s new features? It’s a safe road so there should be no problem.” It already had gotten dark so Chu Feng was walking carefully and slowly towards the barrier.

Fortunately, there were no monsters in this area because of the barrier and this place was also plain territory with only grasses and flowers on the way to the barrier.

Surprisingly he couldn’t see barrier far away from his current position. It was definitely camouflaged by magic to avoid any attention.

“It was not a big deal; tell me about the system first.” Chu Feng tried to avoid this topic as he really didn’t want to recall the smug look on Sera’s face, when she had found out about his identity.

“Okay, so first feature that everyone in this world has is to level up. They can level up by killing monsters or people with enough experience points. They gain stat points and skill points every time they level up. You still don’t know about the skill points so let me tell you about this. A skill normally has two things. First thing is the tier of the skill. You have to use specific items to increase the tier of the skill. Skill will gain extra effects whenever its tier is increased but it is harder to increase as these materials are rare. Second thing about skills is the level of the skill, which can be increased by using skill points that you earn through levelling up, it will increase your damage and also area of the skill in case of magic spells; most skills can be leveled to level 10 with skill points. Some skills have skill proficiency too but it can easily be increased as you use that skill again and again so you can just ignore about it.”

“So increasing tier gives additional effects to the skill, while skill level increases damage and area of damage then what does the skill proficiency do?” Chu Feng asked, he was amazed by such complicated things. Even some RPG games from Earth might not have such in-depth skill advancement feature.

“Skill proficiency will increase your damage by small amount and it might also decrease casting time or cool down time for your skills. It might not look great in the start but in the long run, it can make a huge difference. By the way, there are also some different ways to get stat points and skill points. Some races get extra stat points every time they level up. You were already level 2 when you came to this world so you didn’t get these stat points. And you can also gain stat points and skill points from the titles like the one you have ‘First level one on the Earth’. You can have many titles but you can only show one title in your status. Next thing you should know about, is quests. People from this world can give or take quests which might reward you with experience points and merit points. These experience points are determined according to the difficulty of the quest; it’s not under your control how much experience points you want to give to the other person. And also, people can’t use quest function for their own benefits…” Chu Feng listened to her as she explained many of the basics functions that he mostly knew of from the games he played in the past so Chu Feng started to get impatient.

“Can you tell about the skills that I have? Wasn’t I supposed to gain some ultimate skill when I got the system? Divine Blessing or something like that. Tell me about it.” Chu Feng asked about his own skills, he was excited to know what he got from World Spirit.

“YOU HAVE TO LISTEN TO THE BASICS! I will tell you about the types of the skills now. First one is passive skill. You should know about this but I will tell you anyways. Passive skills are the skills that are always in effect once you have it turned on; it won’t cost you any of your mana or HP. But these skills are hardest to get so don’t hope for them that often. Second one is active skills that can be used with mana, or HP in some cases, or sometimes you need nothing to activate them.

Next one is active-passive skills that are most difficult to obtain as they are super rare and their effect are just like passive skills that are always in effect after activating it but they are much better than passive skills. Unfortunately you need mana or hp to keep them active or sometimes it might have a time limit, just like that xp boosting skill of yours so you can’t actually use them forever like passive skills.

Now Next one is weapon proficiency which is also considered as a skill. You can gain weapon proficiency points by using certain weapon to kill monsters. It can increase your damage dealt for a weapon, when you are using that specific weapon. Now you can check your skills.” She continued to explain these things which he mostly found boring so when she gave him permission to check his skills, he immediately became excited.

“Thanks for the explanation!” Chu Feng thanked her for her explanation but in fact, it was for the fact that she finally stopped talking about boring stuff. Chu Feng opened his stats before checking the new skills he had gotten when he came to this world.

1) Good Shall Be Rewarded With Good: Skill obtained through special title ‘Alone but Not Lost’. You can activate this skill to gain double the experience points through killing monsters for specific amount of time. Duration of this skill can be increased through levelling up.

i) Knife proficiency: You can gain proficiency points by killing monsters with the knife.

Special skills:

1) Divine blessing of the *** :

i) Immunity to all kinds of status ailments/ negative effects from the outside elements. Status ailment/ negative effects will be resisted instead of complete immunity in case status ailment/ negative effects are of higher tier, and if your level is inadequate to immune it.

ii) Fate reversal: All status ailment/ negative effects will be reversed, if you are inflicted with 3 or more status ailment at the same time. (some negative effects can not be reversed so they will instead get cancelled)

iii) Soul binding: Can be used to stabilize soul or spirit. (Can not heal the soul if it is already damaged)

iv) Last stand:

(1) Desperate strike: Deal damage that can not be blocked by any armor or barrier or skills by sacrificing your own HP. Damage\= Sacrificed HP.

(2) Rage: Boost all of your stats by multiple times for extremely short amount of time. Duration will be increased as you level up. (Minimum mana used to activate this skill should be half of your total mana.)

Skill Duration: 10sec

Multiplier is based on the mana you use to activate this skill.

v) All the skills in the divine blessing will get stronger as you level up.

“Immunity to all status ailments? It will be really helpful. I don’t understand what this fate reversal is, but I think it is also related to the immunity skill. So my body will not have problem with any poison and other stuffs too? I am invincible! ,as long as someone doesn't kill me personally” Chu Feng laughed like a maniac, he had played many games so he knew how annoying and dangerous can status ailments be so he was happy to get this.

“This soul binding should have helped Jun’er, right? But it can’t heal damaged souls. I will definitely find a way to bring her back. *sigh* Now next one is...Last stand… wait… isn’t this skill something that people use when they know they are going to die? And rage duration is just 10 sec? I am definitely not using this skill any time soon till I have like tens of thousands of HP. Am I really that unlucky to get such skills, that I can’t even use?”

“I don’t know about you but I am definitely unlucky to have to stay with you all the time. These skills can get stronger when you level up so you should get stronger by levelling up first and then complain about them. You can get some skills from trading feature of the system too.” System assistant said as she couldn’t stand this guy who always blamed his luck for everything(she had already read his memories).At One moment, he was very happy to get a skill, next moment he blamed his luck that he got such skill; she found it hard to understand anything about this guy.

“First tell me why these words are censored and second tell me how to use this, so called trading function. I really want some skills like appraisal that can check information about items, herbs and other people’s level, or teleport skill that can help me travel faster, and also invisibility skill would be good. I really want these skills.” Chu Feng said while laughing as he thought about the things he could do if he had teleport and invisibility skills. Having read Chu Feng’s thoughts, system assistant clicked her tongue at his weird thoughts which made him stop laughing.

“Divine blessing can only be given by people or entities that have attained divinity by worshipping of people, just like how fire, water or other elements are treated as a god in many races and worlds. But world spirit of the Earth didn’t attain such divinity so her name was censored from the skill as she was not a real God, but those skills are better than what pure gods can offer. As for skills in the bottom, you are still too weak to use them so get stronger.

Now about trading function, you will get ‘World End points’ for killing monsters or people that influence this world in a bad way that leads the chances of destruction of this world or you can also gain these points by system assigned quest/missions. You can trade these points for anything you want from the shop in the system. Shop will definitely not have something that can imbalance the world but it should be able to give you skills that can dominate your enemies quite easily. You can also exchange these points with things like your daily necessities including things like bath tub or toilet, which you might need in this world. This system is made by World origin energy, all things, be it living or not, are made from this very energy so it can make anything that you have seen before.”

She had explained nearly everything about the system by now so now Chu Feng didn’t have to fear when fighting monsters or facing people from this world because of his extremely poor knowledge about this world and system. He already had knowledge about few secret skills of the system from the time when he spent days on killing transformed zombies, back on the Earth.

“So I can really get skills like that? Let’s check the quests. I really want to get these 'world end points'.” Chu Feng was about to check his quests when he felt like he had walked through something. He felt the same thing when he had passed through the barrier in the morning, but he was clearly nearly 500 meters away from the barrier where people were sleeping. He was immediately alarmed by this and started looking around cautiously.

His system assistant breathed a sigh of relief as Chu Feng didn't check his quests. She was hiding something from the moment they were about to leave the city and maybe it was hidden in the quests so she felt at ease when he didn't check the quests. Luckily Chu Feng didn't notice her sigh as he was looking around for understanding his current situation.

“This is the outer barrier that stops people from this world from observing or entering in this territory. Now keep your mouth shut. Whatever happens next, DO. NOT. MAKE. ANY. NOISE. Just look in the sky and observe this.” Chu Feng immediately looked up in the sky after he heard her seriously talk like this. The moment he raised his head, he was nearly blinded by the bright light that appeared in the sky at this same moment. It was extremely bright yellow-red light that made him close his eyes in pain.

“What was that!” Chu Feng looked back towards the source of the light when his eyes got somewhat used to this bright light. But what he saw next made his eyes nearly pop out of their sockets. There was a big black thing flying in the sky, releasing fire from its mouth that produced this bright light that nearly illuminated entire area. From the outline he could see in this bright light, he could tell that this was not just any random thing but a big black dragon.

On the opposite end of the fire was someone in shining white armor with big white shield and sky blue sword in his hand. He withstood this fire, And stood behind his shield without even backing out a bit. Most eye catching thing to Chu Feng was the fact that he could actually fly. He couldn’t imagine how strong these two were.

“This is the battle of the strong people of this world. Watch carefully. Don’t miss anything from this battle. You might have to face someone like them in the future. Remember how it feels to stand in this environment where people can kill you even with just a thought.” System assistant wanted him to understand how it feels to be powerless. She knew about this battle because of the quest that Chu Feng got but she didn’t tell him as he would definitely panic, if he knew about this before. She wanted him to understand this feeling of being so weak so he would have a motivation to become stronger faster.

“Won’t people in the barrier be in danger? And I can’t even move my body, I feel like something is pushing me down. Let's not ignore the fact that they are flying so high up in the sky, I can’t even see them properly.” Chu Feng said, he was unable to move even a bit right now. He was worried about the girls as they were completely defenseless in the inner barrier.

“They have been fighting for a while but they couldn’t even scratch the barrier so don’t worry about them. I will help you look at this battle so just watch carefully and remember this. Now don’t speak anymore, I have to concentrate. ” As soon as she said this, Chu Feng felt strange cool energy gathering in his eyes and ears. It caused a bit pain in his eyes but it enhaced his eyes and ears, he could clearly see this big black dragon and person in white armor, who was actually an old man fighting. He could even hear what they were talking.

“ ' Black dragon of the calamity' burning down everything with its fires. You are worthy of your name as calamity dragon but your fire is not enough to take me down. For the people of the empire, today I shall take your head.” Old man spoke as he raised his sky-blue sword which easily cut down and spilt the fire into two, which was coming out of black dragon’s mouth.

“Old fool of the empire’s knight, if you think you can beat this King of Dragons then you are terribly mistaken. We, dragons, won’t ever lose to a human like you.” Unlike the voice of the old man which was filled with pride, black dragon’s voice brought strange feeling of fear from inside of one's very soul. But listening to both of them brought shivers on Chu Feng's body. These were not shivers of fear but some sort of excitement that was starting to burn inside him, which was really strange feeling for him.

“You are not worthy of speaking about the dragons. You are not even worthy of being the voice of all dragons. You are already kicked out of the Royal dragon family. And today, I shall remove you from this world.” Old man’s words seemed to have touched black dragon’s nerve as it rushed towards the old man with extremely fast speed, which was definitely something that Chu Feng could not even keep track of if he didn’t receive this strange energy from his assistant.

“I shall take your old life today!” black dragon shouted in anger.

Old man stood in the air at the same place where he was before. Black dragon was already gravely injured from the battle, while old man didn’t look that much injured.

Old man had spent his entire life serving the human empire. He protected borders from beastkin nations, he fought against strong bandits and pirates in the seas, he had fought against undead races, and he even had a fight against dragons in the past, before he got this strong.

But today he was fighting against the Black Dragon of the Calamity, which brought so much trouble for the people of the empire for so many years. It had killed countless people on its whim after it got kicked out from the dragon clan. It would just appear and burn down villages with all the people in it, leaving not a single life in it.

This Old Knight who had worked all these years for the Emperor of the human empire and people of the empire, felt his heart getting crushed into pieces whenever this calamity struck and killed countless people. Today he had the chance to avenge them; he had already decided to throw away his life if it was necessary but because of his old age, it got difficult for him to continue in this long battle so he finally decided that he was going to end this right away in one blow even if it lead him to his last breath.

Old knight released the shield from his hand as he raised his sword above his head with other hand. Sky-blue sword started gathering strange bluish light, which made it look bigger and become even stronger as he charged through the air towards the black dragon with both of his hands tightly gripping the sword.

It looked like both of them had nearly used all of their power in this attack. Black dragon charged in rage, while old knight looked calm when he was charging with his sword that now had a deep blue color.

Black dragon’s claw and old knight’s sword met with a loud bang and a bright light. Luckily, this time Chu Feng had his system assistant’s strange energy that helped him observe this situation. But he couldn’t avoid the shockwaves that were created by this big explosion of energy as he flew few meters backwards and fell on the ground. If not for the fact that this battle was far away and high up in the sky from his location, he definitely would have gotten seriously injured or maybe he would’ve even died.

When Chu Feng got up from the ground, all he could see in the sky was old knight standing still in the air with all of his armor completely shattered into pieces and his entire body covered in blood and wounds. While big Black dragon had already fallen from the sky and was lying motionlessly on the ground.

This battle that made Chu Feng to not even able to move his body, had received it's result just like that, in one single blow. This battle had continued for a while but it finally reached its conclusion with one blow that determined this big and terrifying creature's fate.
