[Scene Two – Siriraj Hospital, Bangkok | 1:13 AM | Emergency Unit]
The hospital was unnervingly quiet for a night filled with so many corpses. The rain had begun by the time they arrived, washing away the dust but not the blood. Inside, the smell of antiseptic and iron clung to the air. Nurses moved briskly, but cautiously—they had never seen a mass casualty this bizarre.
Anurak stood in the main hallway, hands soaked in sanitizer, coat removed, shirt sleeves rolled up. The twelve bodies were in the morgue. The three critically injured were under surgery. And Jiang Zeyan… unconscious, pale, and curled awkwardly on a gurney in the trauma bay. His vitals were erratic—heart skipping every third beat.
[Anurak]
(To himself while staring at Jiang)
"You see the future and still manage to collapse like that? What kind of twisted irony is that..."
(He exhales sharply and turns to the nurse)
“Admit him under observation. Do a neuro scan. We’ll need a cardiologist to check—”
[Nurse]
(Hesitates)
"Dr. Kitprasit … a cardiologist for today that would be you, sir."
[Anurak]
(Rubs the bridge of his nose.)
"Of course it would be." [Dr. Anurak Kitprasit is a cardiologist for emergency unit.. in any special or emergency, cases are handed by him.]
Hours pass.
At 3:00 AM, Anurak pushes open the door to the private room he assigned Jiang. The monitor beeps slow and shallow. Jiang lies half-asleep, barely conscious but visibly in pain. He looks fragile—nothing like the eerie calm presence at the site.
[Jiang Zeyan] (Eyes flutter open, hoarse whisper)
"Despite of the warning You still moved the body… didn’t you?"
[Anurak] (Coldly)
"I am a doctor I can't see people die So, yes I moved all of them. Including you."
(He walks over, checking Jiang’s IV bag.)
"You were right—your lungs were showing signs of micro-hemorrhaging. No trauma. No pathology. Just… bleeding. From nothing."
(Pauses, eyes sharp.)
"Explain that."
[Jiang Zeyan] (Smiles faintly through pain)
"You want science to explain things that defy it."
(Voice goes quieter)
"And now… you have three hours."
[Anurak] (Snaps, annoyed)
"Three hours for what?"
[Jiang Zeyan] (His eyes grow distant, the voice dreamy but frightened.)
"For them to follow you home."
The heart monitor ticks louder for a second. Somewhere down the hall, one of the lights flickers.
In the morgue…
One of the bodies… twitches.
[Anurak] (Watches Jiang closely, unsure if he’s hallucinating or telling the truth. He doesn’t believe. But… something about Jiang’s gaze unnerves him. It’s not fear of death—it’s mourning for someone not dead yet.)
[Anurak] (Softens, for a moment)
"...But You were right about the body at the site. How did you know?"
[Jiang Zeyan] (Meets his eyes, barely breathing looks in pain but doesn't want to show it.)
"Because I saw you standing beside it. Covered in blood. Looking for someone you’d already lost."
A silence falls.
Outside, lightning splits the Bangkok skyline.
