Chapter three

Light's POV:

"Don't come near me, you bastard!"

I chuckled as she glared at me,her blue eyes so full of hatred as she walked backwards,her black skirt fluttering in the wind.

"What if I do?"

"I'll kick you in the balls!"

I couldn't help but laugh at the ridiculousness of the situation as I remembered the flustered face of Celestine Night, the almighty daughter of Night kingdom pressed against the entrance of the garden..

I looked behind her and saw the lake not a metre away from where she is..

If she trips and falls down,I'm so fucking done..

"Be careful Celestine!"

As soon as the words left my lips,her eyes widened, and there was a hard splashing sound as she fell into the water.

I tried reaching for her but was only able to grab on air as the water droplets kept clinging into my hair.

"****!" I was too late to react,and jumped into the water after her.

In my clothes.

The guys are gonna have fun with my sorry state today, I thought as I started looking for her underwater but she was nowhere to be found.

But for that moment, my only thought was to find her and take her to safety..

I looked all around me,feeling more and more helpless when I found no sign of that woman..

Dammit did she sink or what..

Clenching my jaws,I started to swim deeper but before I could, something caught my eyes.

To be particular, someone.

And to be more specific, it was a certain blue eyed beauty pulling at my forearm, with questioning eyes and a face full of displeasure.

I could almost make out the question: Are you crazy?Why did you jump after me?

And just like that,a sense of relief washed over me as I looked at the mass of black hair floating around her head like shadow and sucked in a breath.

That face, those lips, that hair...why,oh why does she look exactly like her?

I didn't realize what I was doing as my hands closed around her face and I was kissing her.

Again.

What the **** is wrong with me today? I've never felt compelled by a girl's beauty before..

She must be just as baffled by my attitude as I was,because she didn't struggle.

I was a guy,after all. And I'm not doing anything against her, I thought. Or that's what I told myself.

when she didn't struggle to push me away,I kissed her harder.

Lips. Tongue. Teeth.

She tasted of coffee, a bittersweet taste..just like her,I thought and couldn't help but smile against her lips.

Finally,she realized what I was doing and pushed at me.

I didn't want to let go,but I allowed her to push me away and swim ahead of me..

I followed close behind her and only then I thought,of course she knows swimming, she's an royal..

I made a joke of myself,again..and a certain part of me is really uncomfortable now.

"You bastard..How dare you?"

As soon as I resurfaced, I felt a pair of hands holding on my collar and looked at a pair of fierce yet somewhat dazed eyes.

So there still are some things that affects her,huh.

"I thought you were unconscious. That was only CPR, don't think too much."

Chuckling, I grabbed her wrist and pulled her out of the water.

"I was fully conscious, you dumbass!"

"Oops,my bad!"

I looked behind me and my eyes probably popped out of its sockets right then and there.

I might as well have to clear the memory of her standing by the lake, the dress she was wearing dripping wet and hugging the curves of her body.

I couldn't help as my eyes travelled down the water droplets slowly dropping from her hair,to the fierce eyes that seem to have lost some of it's fierceness,then to the small but sharp nose,and rested on her lips.

God,what am I doing? Checking out a girl in the open?This is so not like me..

"Uh..You're wet." I muttered, suddenly feeling uncomfortable with the position we're in.

"That much I know, genius." She grumbled.

"No,no. That's not what I meant, your clothes are.."

I looked away,without explaining that her body looks too alluring..way too alluring.

"Uhm..Yeah. I know,I know!" She muttered and I couldn't help but laugh.

I pulled off my jacket,which was wet as well and handed it to her.

"Thia should do..for now. Let's get inside and I'll tell Dy to arrange for some clothes for you."

"Mhm.."

Celestine's POV:

For the tenth time,I sighed while sitting in the bathtub.

Subconsciously, I touched my lips. It's already red and swollen..Damn.

Today was an..Eventful day.

I flushed and almost punched the wall again,how dare that moron kiss me?

Two. Fucking. Times.

"Miss,your clothes are in your room. I may take my leave now. "

"Alright Carson..Thanks."

I muttered and covered my face again.

Celestine, remember your promise. You're here for a purpose, and that has everything to do with the very person you were lip locking with..

But I am also an woman, and that just happened to be my first kiss..I thought.

I kissed my enemy. God..what have I done?

"No,it's more like your enemy kissed you." I whispered at my reflection as I stood in front of the mirror.

A little voice whispered in my head, and you liked it.

I shook my head,I don't allow myself in indulging in such trivialities

If I didn't know better, I would have mistook my reflection for someone else's.

Damn..Who would have thought kissing could have this kind of effect on you?

I touched my lips again,It looks like I really did kiss someone..and my face looks all flushed and red.

God,that's ridiculous.

I have always thought of myself to be someone with next to no shame,and here I am...Stop,Celestine!

Just stop thinking about it!

Shaking my head vigorously, I huffed and wrapped myself up in a towel before rushing out of the bathroom to change into a dry pair of clothes.

After debating whether I should just stay inside till tomorrow, and going out to meet the other guys,I decided that as soon as I get the job done,the better.

And I'll be able to collect more intels if I interact with the guys..

with that settled, I put on a pair of a dark blue skirt,and a baggy sweater that makes me look like a couch potato.

No need to show my curves, I'm here for the job..

With that settled, I picked up my phone and walked out the door.

When I reached the stairs,I covered my ears with my hands.

"Give me the damn remote,you moron!"

"Take it if you have the balls!"

And sure enough, there were two people running around the dining area like some kids from kindergarten.

From the Intel I've got,the blonde one with the remote is Harry, and the other one is Niel,twin brother of Julian.

I'm sure my face pretty much reflected my dismay of the scene,and I thought..And this is where I have to stay,of all places to complete my mission.

"Dy,I'm hungry is the food ready?"

I looked above me to see none other than the devil himself walking down,shoulder to shoulder with another guy.

This is julian,twin brother of Neil.

He looks pretty formal though, if you ask me. Sophisticated.

And then my eyes met the devil himself..

I was going to look away when he winked at me, as if that's completely normal. In answer I cringed.

"So this is the princess Celestine, huh?"

I looked back at Julian who walked in front of me and Bowing formally,he kissed my palm..

Yep.I like this man's behavior.

"it's a pleasure to meet such a beautiful woman in this Castle."

"Pleasure is mine."

"Now,now let's go have some dinner, stuffy princess."

"Hey hey! Who do you think you are! I was talking to crown prince Julian! Let go of me,right now!"

I unsuccessfully shouted as I was dragged all the way from the hall to the dining place.

"I didn't know you guys were close.."

Julian laughed as he pulled at my chair for me.

"You must be mistaken. We're not close at all."

I nodded my thank you at him,and frowned at Light as I sat down.

"Where is the new chick?! Where is the new chick?!"

I craned my neck towards the origin of the voice and cringed internally.

Sure enough, it was Harry.

Chick? Are you kidding me?

"You pigs started hogging down food down your stinky hole again?"

"Sorry for the tough situation,miss Celestine. These boys have been together since childhood, and they have zero sense of self control when with royalty."

Giving Dylan a smile,I picked up the fork.

"It's alright. I'm just not used to..such boisterous behavior."

Sure enough, I heard a chuckle from beside me and glared at Light.

"Stuffy princess is so stuffed with royal shit she doesn't know what normalcy is."

"Unlike you,prince light. I know what sophistication is." I retorted, pointing at the impolite way he's eating.

"You guys seem..like you know each other."

Niel grinned,sitting across from Julian who was making eyes at Harry who seemed very eager about something.

"Any scandals with our prince boi,miss Night? What am I missing, do elaborate.."

Hearing that,I almost sputtered food all over the table and could almost feel my ears getting red..

Oh my God, what is wrong with me today?

"I'm done with the food. Thanks for the dinner. Now it you don't mind, I'll take my leave. It's been a tiring day for me.."

Avoiding all the weird eye contacts between the guys,I made a mad dash for the bedroom.
