chapter one: Trouble in paradise

light's Pov:

"Are you blind? How irresponsible you are to bump into me! How dare you to touch my belongings without my permission!"

Hearing the ruckus in the doorway,I exchanged a look with Jules that clearly says: Wtf.

The voice sounded like of a girl..a very pissed off girl,in fact.

So we're going to have a girl roommate?

He shrugged his broad shoulders at me as we stood just a few meters away from the grand hall.

"Sounds like a wild cat broke into our den."

Rubbing his hands together in a lewd way(that made him look like a pedophile) Niel grinned at Harry who smirked back at him.

I and Jules both shook our head in sync at these two morons started peeking through the crack in the door to see what's going on inside.

"oooh lala. What a beauty.."

I raised an eyebrow at Harry's comment, confused.

I sometimes wonder what the **** was wrong with the kings to give birth to such morons..

Wasn't the new tenant supposed to be a guy? At least that's what would be sensible...

Besides there's the rule.

"Didn't your old man say girls aren't allowed in here?" Jules asked,surprised and a bit baffled.

"I don't know,man." I shrugged, suddenly feeling troubled.

The Castle is strictly the property of the Royals,and nobody but the certified maids and us four boys are allowed to enter this property..so this must not be the mysterious person dad told me about..

I frowned, this girl certainly isn't our new tenant, and that leaves me with only one choice..she's an invader. A thief,probably.

"Are you sure it's a girl?" Jules asked Niel,frowning.

"Why would I joke about such a pretty lady. She looks extremely attractive. And by the way she's waving her hand,she's feisty too.And boobs." Niel whispered back,as if a strange girl suddenly making unnecessary noises in restricted property is completely natural.

Sharing another look with Jules,I muttered to him.

"It seems to be something serious..It's better if we fix whatever conflict is happening as soon as possible."

At Jules nod,I pushed open the door and walked inside(which made the morons stumble and fall on the ground, face first)

guess we'll have to play it by ear..

"You motherfuckers.."

Completely ignoring the curse thrown our way,we walked all the way to the door and stared at the scene before me.....

Holy ****.

I stared dumbfounded at the girl in front of me, holding one of our maids,Miranda by her collars as she sweared at her.

There were also two suitcases on the ground, with all of it's goods in the ground,and a very sorry looking man trying to stop that ferocious girl from choking Miranda.

The scene in front of me was too bizzare to explain.

For a moment, I just stood there,looking at the scene like a moron as Miranda muttered her apology over and over to the girl and looking green as if she's about to run out of air.

My lips curved slightly as I looked at the girl glaring daggers at Miranda.

I must say she does have a beautiful face and body. The thick and long lashes covering her fierce blue eyes looking back and forth I and Jules, her neatly shaped eyebrows,the little bow shaped lips curved in a deep scowl,everything about her does look exotic.

Something about this seems way too familiar,I can't pin point what exactly though.

I don't think she is from around here,otherwise I surely would remember her face,I thought.

Then,I shook myself out of my stupor, and with a start,jumped in between the two girls.

"Hey hey hey,Lady you're hurting our maid. Please let her go."

Jules must have been as baffled as me,because after he heard me,he gave a hard shake of head and helped me get Miranda out to safety..

Thankfully, the girl let go of Miranda and I ordered Jules to take Miranda to the infirmary.

"Are you okay,Miranda?" I asked, Patting her back as she coughed and coughed.

"Y-yes young master. Thank.." she coughed, "Thank you for coming to rescue me. I really didn't mean to..cough cough trouble this lady,I just didn't notice her coming this way."

"It's okay,Miranda. I'll take care of it. You go have some rest. And check your throat at the infirmary..."

I muttered,helping her stand up straight.

"Jules,Harry, help her get to the infirmary. Niel,call the doctor for her and order chef to make something warm for her throat."

with the instructions, they went their way without much questions.

That's the thing with these hooligans, however intolerable they are, we are like brothers. They believe in my judgment. And I do in theirs.

"Do you have any idea what she has done? All my belongings are now ruined because of her callousness. Who do you think you are? Bring me your manager, I want her to be fired!"

My attention was snapped as the girl kept on screaming.

I don't know whether I should be amused or annoyed at the girl,I thought and sighed.

However amusing her attitude is,she hurt my maid,and I'm not about to let her go that easily. I might be an aloof guy,but I would not allow someone to make people suffer like that.

"Sorry? You think you can do whatever you wish at my property? I shouldbe the one askingyou whoyou are."

The butler must have sensed my anger and by the warning,he knows my true identity.

"So this is the crown prince, huh? How disgusting."

Sneering at me,she crossed her arms over her chest,as if I'm the one at fault here.

I clenched my hands by my side,and repeated, keep your cool,keep your cool light,you can't be angered. First you must know the circumstances before acting rashly...as dad would have said if he were here.

"I want a formal apology from your maid. And you must fire her, if you know what's good for you."

She sure does have a pretty face,but her attitude is ugly like nothing else.

And I had had enough of her shit,I was truly mad at her for making Miranda hurt for no serious reason.

"I don't really think that you are in such a place to go against me,miss.By the looks of you,you are a noble,yet you act like trash."

I clapped my hands and my butler, Dylan came out for my orders.

"What can I do for you,young master?" he walked out and stood by my side.

"Dylan,check whatever precious things had been wasted that belongs to this young lady. Make arrangement, if she needs money,give her a blank check and escort her out of my property."I shook my head,"I want her out."

I knew I had stuck a nail when she sucked in a breath and glared at me fiercely.

"M'lady please control yourself,this is not a place for.."

"Shut up,Carson. You have no right to talk back at me." The girl shoved the old butler aside,as if he's trash and I couldn't help but feel disgusted at her attitude towards others..

Does she have no compassion at all? Is she even human?

"Hey,hey,do you have any idea who I am to talk such rudely about me?You're showing me money,and power huh? Do you think being the crown prince gives you enough power?!""

Smirking, I replied, "You think I give a **** about what people like you think of me? Then let me rephrase it to you,I don't care. Get out of my property.Now."

"I,Celestine Night will make you suffer,Prince Light. Remember this day,you will suffer for what you did." she huffed out a breath as she stormed out of the door.

Hearing the name,Dylan who was standing beside me suddenly gasped.

"What's wrong,Dylan?" I asked,concerned. He looks like he's seen some ghost.

"M-Master..She's the eldest daughter of the Night kingdom. Celestine Night,she's your new tenant. Your dean called me awhile ago to informed that it will be miss Night Sharing the palace with you guys."

I had to wait for a moment before it hit me..and I face palmed.

Ofcourse, it had to be the eldest daughter of Night kingdom...Celestine Night. And I've managed to successfully piss her off..Just great.

I really did **** up now,I thought and ran out with Dylan in my toes.

"Dylan investigate miss Night's location ASAP.When you find her,inform me. Send people to search for her. I have to fix it."

After making the arrangements, I ran out with my phone in hand and looked at the text dad had sent me awhile ago and couldn't help but laugh at the irony.

Dad:Yo kid,be aware of trouble in paradise. I heard this new roomie would be a girl,and a pain at the same time..

Light:Too late dad. Don't have time to explain shit..just know that I fucked up. Cya.

Dad: Go de-**** it,my son. All the best. Have a meeting now. Bye kid.

I rolled my eyes and thought,it is trouble in paradise, indeed...
