Chapter two: Roses have thorns.

Celestine's POV:

Bam!

"Young miss, shall I make arrangements for us to stay in a hotel for tonight?"

Carson asked, looking at the car that has a dent in it,all thanks to young missy's hot temper.

"I want him dead. I want them all dead, Carson. No one has dared to embarrass me like the crown prince did. I swear I'll make him eat his words."

I whispered to Carson as I looked up at the Royale Castle,my eyes had a maniacal look to it.

Clenching my hands by my side,I ignored the sharp pain as my palms kept on bleeding and swore.

*Father,I swear I will annihilate the crown prince, and avenge the death of mother.

And I will kill everyone of your beloved friends, Prince Light,mark my words*.

"Carson,I need every details about the four princes. Make it fast."

"Yes m'lady. I'll arrange for it." With that,he walked off to a corner with his phone on hand.

Calm down,Celestine. This is not a time to lose your cool,remember your true purpose of coming in this putrid kingdom..

Calming down is my first priority now..

I didn't think much of what I was doing, and started walking down the small trail towards what seemed to be a garden..

Royale Castle, such a beautiful place I thought as I overlooked at the small canopies and thousands and thousands of flowers.

The smell of the flowers were enchanting, dulling all my senses as I walked deeper and deeper into the garden. I didn't know the smell of flowers could make me calm...

My hand reached out and touched the petals one by one,as I walked along the trail until I reached the center of the garden.

It's been years I haven't seen any flowers..how can I forget the smell,the satin texture of it in my palms?

Then it stuck me, and suddenly I felt like all the air has been sucked out of my lungs.

I gasped as I looked around myself, looking at the rose garden that looked all too familiar to me.

***And just like that,I was a five year old kid again,laughing along with a little boy with eyes that could hold all the happiness of the world as I ran around the garden like we had no care of the world.

It was like there was only us in the world, nothing else mattered. No difference between friends and foe at all,all it mattered was love***.

I choked on a breath as my legs gave in and I fell down on the ground, just as a tear slipped past my strong hold and rolled down my cheek.

I can't..I can't think of past now. I should not.

Shaking my head vigorously, I swiped at the tears.

That little boy is long dead to me,he does not exist. I no more have a heart,neither do I have a past. I don't have a past..

I, Celestine Night,am the daughter of Night who's one and only purpose is to get revenge for her mother.

Then why are you crying now,Daughter of Night? Does it not matter at all?

A voice asked inside my head.

No,no it doesn't matter. I no longer am a little girl in need of a companion. I don't need anyone else!

I clutched my head in my hands and kept whispering.

"Don't...don't think of it. Celestine, you can't make your father look down upon you. You were born to be a sinner, you can't care about anyone else but yourself."

I was so lost in my own thoughts, I almost didn't notice another presence behind me until I felt someone's hand on my shoulder.

"Are you okay ?"

I heard a deep voice ask from beside me,and if I didn't know good enough, I would have thought the person sitting beside me is concerned about me.

I laughed without any humor,and opened my eyes and my eyes met a pair of amber eyes.. and for a moment I thought, this is probably how he would have looked if he hadn't died.

Stop thinking,control yourself.

This time, I frowned as I looked at the crown prince light,and stood up hastily.

"I-I'm sorry to invade in your property. I don't know what I was thinking. Accept my apologies, crown prince."

When I realized he's still has his palm on my shoulder, I slapped it away.

"It's alright. I was just worried that something must have happened to you. You looked terrible sitting on the ground."

Realizing what he was doing, he walked two steps away and bounced in his balls.

So not noble like,I thought

"Your name is Celestine, right?"

I nodded as I finished dusting myself off.

How disgusting. I made my father embarrassed for my enemy to see me in my lowest, I don't deserve to live.

"I will leave your property now. Again,I'm really sorry,I didn't mean to invade but as my butler was arranging for a place for us to stay I started wandering around."

I bowed deeply to the prince, and cringed as I realized I was bowing to my enemy but thought, it's all an act.

"Don't be so formal,Celestine. I was actually searching for you.."

He scratched his head,as if saying that made him nervous and looked at the ground.

"uh-huh. Why does the prince have to search for me?"

I raised one eyebrow,and couldn't help but smirk as he looked more flustered.

Who would have thought that crown prince would be a sissy...

"I was rude to you,for you to be rude at Miranda. I understand she made a mistake, and I,on behalf of her apologize to you."

This time I raised both of my eyebrows, surprised.

I had always thought the princes to be full of pride,and put themselves before anyone else. I certainly didn't imagine a prince to apologize on behalf of a servant..

I looked back at him and by the smile he gave me,he caught onto what I was thinking.

"I don't know what you visualize the royal family as,but as for me,they're no different than the commoners."

He scratched his head again,and continued.

"My father,the king himself has requested for you to forgive her. It was our mistake, we thought you were some random invader trying to stir up troubles. I'm truly sorry for the misconception. The king,as well as us princes would truly like to apologize to you personally, If you would accompany us at the Castle."

I stared at his face again,half dumbfounded and half amused..

*Royals are like commoners? Is he kidding?

Commoners are dirt,to be trampled under our feet. There's no place of compassion*.

However, as the plans are,I gave him a big,fake smile.

I've already tampered with the plan enough, I acted on impulse without thinking of consequences, but there's no place of excuse.

"I'd like that,prince light."

"Okay.. So let's go. I have already told my butler to take care of your things. And call me light, prince light sounds so stuffy."

With that said,we made our way back towards the Castle.

"Okay pri..Light." I muttered and looked around to see if anyone has seen me in my ugly state.

"Uh,can you keep..that in between us? I don't think it's very noble like to..you know. "

I grumbled as we walked.

"Don't worry about it. Even the prettiest Rose's have thorns. As for that matter, my lips are sealed. "

Winking at me,he walked in front and I rolled my eyes behind his back.

I may be a noble, but I know whether someone is flirting or making fun of me..

"Was that a reference to the rude behavior or that?"

I grumbled again,feeling pissed off suddenly.

Not that I care,but how dare he make fun of me!

"How about both?"

Bam.

Suddenly he stopped walking, and not realizing it,I ran straight into him.

"What the hell are you doing?!" Stepping back,I glared at his smirking face.

"Why did you stop suddenly! That was rude of you,can't you inform me before you stop?Do you have any idea who I am?"

"'Fraid not,honey." He grinned, "Otherwise why would I do this?"

"Wha--"

And the next thing I knew was that I was being pulled in and my lips met his.

*What the *****?

I tried shoving at his shoulder, but apparently he had a stronger hold than me.

I tried kicking at his groin but before I could, I was pressed against the gate of the Castle,and my hands were pinned above my head.

He kissed me.

He fucking kissed me.

And I don't know what the **** is wrong with my head, but I kissed him back. Just like that,all I could think about was that he has really nice lips,and it's soft..

*Earth to Celestine, what the *** are you doing? You are here to complete a mission, not to have fun.

"The **** are you doing?!"

I screamed as he came up for air and grinned. This time I was prepared, and kicked at him and escaped his clutches as he tried grabbing for me.

"If you didn't understand,let me demonstrate it again."

"No! Don't come anywhere near me,or you will regret it!"

And with that,I ran for dear life.
