Chapter 2

Cayden a 22 years old college student in a public university. His height is average and he have quite muscular body because of doing hard labor. He came from a poor family that is why he need to work and earn a living to continue his studies.

A quarter of hour have passed before the woman came back and I am standing near the window watching the clouds pass by.

"Hey why so serious what are you thinking?" she asked as she sat on the chair beside the bed and handed a bottle of water. I took it and put it on the side of the window.

"Who are you and why am I in a hospital? " I asked.

" I'm sorry, I forgot to introduce myself when you woke up" she said.

" I'm Kiarra. Kiarra Porter"

"But seriously you don't know why you're in the hospital? " a trace of astonishment can be seen on her face.

" I really can't remember" I replied seriously as I turned my head to look at her.

" Tha-thank you" she said in a quite low but sincere voice.

" Whay are you thanking me? " I asked with full of confusion.

" So you really can't remember." she said.

"You saved me from the three kidnappers." she continued.

"You are so amazing because you knock them out despite their advantage in number and using a weapon . "

" After you have beaten them you're about to leave but you suddenly collapsed so I rushed towards you and check if you are stabbed, luckily there is no wounds"

"I called 911 for help and we brought you to the nearest hospital. Since then you've been sleeping for three days now. "

"What three days? " I surprisingly exclaimed

"Really its three days? " I asked again to make sure that I heard her clearly.

"Yes" she said with a puzzled look on her face.

After her response I felt so weak that I nearly falldown if I did not hold on the windows handle.

How high are my bills for staying that long? "Did they fired me in the eatery because I am absent for too long? Without a job how can I pay the bills? this are some of the many things running in mind at the moment. I was disturbed from my thoughts when I heard her speak.

" Whats your name by the way" she asked while smiling but that smile did not last long.

"What's wrong why do you look so worried is there something bothering you?" she asked again.

"No. Its nothing" I replied.

" If you are worried about the hospital bills, its already been paid" she said.

How did she know what I'm thinking is it obviously written on my face.

"Are you the one who settled it? " I asked.

"Yes" she said as she handed a peeled orange to me. I took the half of it and gave the other back to her.

" Eat some too." I said.

"Thank you" she response and took the other half.

" I'll return the money to you in the future" I said and as I put a piece of orange in my mouth.

"That's not necessary." she said as she do the same.

" But I don't want being in debt to other people" I replied.

She smiled bitterly for a moment before answering. " You can think that it's the payment for saving my life."

"If you put it that way then we're even. " I said as I smiled to her.

She smiled back. " The doctor said awhile ago that you can be discharged tomorrow if you want. "

" Thats good to hear, I don't want to make the bills higher anyway. " I said.

" It's getting late, I need to get back home and change." she said.

"Okay, thank you for taking care of me this days." I replied.

"Then I'll get going. " she said as she stand up. I just nod my head and smiled as a reponse and watch her walk to the door when she suddenly turned around.

"I nearly forgot you didn't answer my question awhile ago. " she said

"What question?" I asked.

"You did not yet tell me your name." she said while pouting a little.

I chuckled then smiled" I am Cayden."

"Okay, I'll fetch you tomorrow Mr. Cayden. Bye." she said as she waved her hand and left the room.

"Bye, Miss Kiarra." I replied and raised my hand.
