Vanika Kapoor had many achievements in life—eating ten golgappas in one minute, sleeping through an entire history lecture, and convincing her mom that her homework was already done.

As she strolled into the detention room, she expected to see a bunch of troublemakers—kids who broke the rules, got caught fighting, or maybe even planned a mini rebellion.
Instead, she found only one person sitting inside.
And that person was Reyansh Singhania.
"Yahan bhi tum?"
Vanika paused at the door, confused. “Tumhe bhi detention mila kya?”
Reyansh, who was calmly reading a book, didn’t even look up. “Main detention supervise kar raha hoon.”
Vanika smirked and took a seat. “Of course. Mr. Perfect Head Boy jo ho.”
Reyansh sighed, finally glancing at her. “Yeh tumhari punishment hai. Please chup chaap baitho.”
Vanika leaned back in her chair. “Tumhe lagta hai main chup reh sakti hoon?”
Reyansh gave her a blank look. “Unfortunately, nahi.”
Vanika grinned. “Wah, tumhe sense of humor bhi hai?”
Reyansh ignored her and went back to his book. Vanika, on the other hand, tapped her fingers on the desk, swung her legs, and even hummed a song—just to see if he’d react.
But the guy was a human robot. No reaction at all.
Finally, she huffed. “Yeh kaun si book hai jo tum itne dhyan se padh rahe ho?”
Reyansh lifted the book slightly, revealing the title—“The Psychology of Discipline”.
Vanika burst out laughing. “Tum sach mein insaan ho ya kisi rulebook ka human version?”
Reyansh closed the book with a sigh. “Mujhe kaam karne do.”
Vanika smirked. “Kaunsa kaam? Meri taang kheenchne ka?”
Reyansh gave her a sharp look. “Agar detention mazaak lag raha hai toh main Principal se baat kar sakta hoon. Extra punishment bhi mil sakti hai.”
Vanika raised an eyebrow. “Punishment ka bhi ek rulebook hoga na tumhare paas?”
Reyansh didn’t answer. Instead, he took out a register and started writing.
Vanika leaned forward, trying to peek. “Yeh kya likh rahe ho?”
He didn’t respond.
Vanika rolled her eyes. “Mujhe bhi bata do. Kahin mera naam **‘Most Annoying Student’ category mein likh toh nahi rahe?”
Reyansh finally looked at her. “Woh category already full hai. Tumhara naam mujhe alag likhna padega.”
Vanika gasped dramatically. “Ouch. Yeh sarcasm tha?”
Reyansh didn’t smile, but his lips twitched slightly.
Vanika noticed. Mr. Head Boy ko hassne se rokne ki practice bhi ki hogi, pakka.
Reyansh vs Vanika: Round 1 Ends
The next thirty minutes passed with Vanika asking random questions, Reyansh ignoring them, and the clock moving painfully slow.
Finally, the detention time ended.
As Vanika grabbed her bag, she turned to Reyansh. “Aaj ka din mazedar tha.”
Reyansh raised an eyebrow. “Detention mazedar lag raha hai tumhe?”
Vanika smirked. “Jab tum mujhe punishment doge, toh main bhi tumhe pareshaan karna mera farz samjhungi.”
Reyansh sighed, looking at her like she was a problem he didn’t sign up for.
But as Vanika walked out, she had a feeling—yeh sirf shuruaat thi.
Reyansh Singhania strict ho sakta hai, serious ho sakta hai, Head Boy ho sakta hai…
