Chapter 4

While standing in the crossing in silence around the lively atmosphere, I was bumped by a tall, dark haired guy and all his books were lying on the ground, I was snapped back to present,I help him pick up his books. That guy asks me something in Japanese, I replied " Sorry, I don't speak Japanese". He said in his absolute Japanese accent " I guessed it but then asked it anyway, So are you lost here?". I defensively said" Nah, I'm not, I am quite familiar with this place." Though I have been here only once. He then said" Oh I'm Yamato, what is your name?". I said "I am Anna, Nice to meet you". I started walking away after saying that. He walked along my side. He was persistent and tried to talk again but I ignored. We were almost walking together. I was heading to Shinjuku to have the best ramen in the world.

Again Yamato tried to talk.

Yamato: Are you new here? Do you want a tour?

Me: I wish I could say yes but I'm good.

Yamato: Are you an American? I have an American friend too. If you feel uncomfortable with me, I could take you to him or ask him to come here. He is really friendly and would love to help you.

Me:Oh but I don't want to trouble anyone. And I'm not in need of any help.

Yamato: Oh that's okay. I just felt like you had some trouble. Would you mind me hanging with you today?

After thinking for a second to myself, why not? wouldn't a company be better?

I agreed.

We went to Shinjuku together, we had a really good connection which I didn't really expect at the start. He was really a funny guy. He did all the hilarious things I could possibly think of. After having the lunch we went to a wishing fountain. Where I wished for the obvious that is meeting Alan, it was all I could think of but I should admit I really had a hell of fun with Yamato. But only his accent was a little different and talked differently. We went around playing pranks on people. 

In the wishing fountain, he was asking me about my wish and I said that I was here to find a guy, he was teasing me, so I playfully pushed him, he fell into the fountain. At first I felt a little guilty then I laughed so hard, he pulled me in as a revenge. When a couple tried to take a picture in front of the fountain, we came out behind them with a  sudden roar, it scared the shit out of them, they were really mad at us, we appologized and left to change in a store as we were completely drenched.

The day was over, we both were tired. I was about to leave to my hotel and then he insisted on coming with saying Japan is not really a safe place. When we reached there.We both got off the cab and I gave him a confused look like' do you want to drop me to my room also' and he gave a look back ' don't I  get invited for a cup of tea and I'm not ready to leave right now' and I was like " Fine, come in" and he smiled.

I put the key in the keyhole of my room's door, taking a look at Yamato who is still smiling back at me. I twist the doorknob and open the door. A loud roar " NANNNAAAAAA I'M HEREEE FOR YOUUU!! SURPRISE!!!". I knew it was Katie, so I ran towards her voice in the living room and gave a big hug, she hugged me back. She looked at my back, so I turned to see she was staring at Yamato. 

She whispers to me" It's been only two days and you have found Alan already and you didn't even bother to tell me." I whisper back" It's not Alan, it's a new friend whom I met today and I'll tell you the details later".

Yamato with a weak voice" Umm, Anna So I guess I'll come back later maybe, I think your friend might feel uncomfortable"

Before I could reply with a okay, Katie says" Nope,I'm fine with you hanging here. We could maybe watch a movie or something"  and she tells to me softly" Nana, you haven't introduced us."

Then I sense my super gorgeous blonde friend who haven't been interested in any guy since her last relationship which was three years ago, is now interested in this hot Japanese guy. So it is my turn to be the matchmaker. 

I turn towards Yamato who is staring at Katie, a different look from how he saw me, maybe he is also interested in her. I said" Yamato, this my talented and beautiful friend, Katie" he blurted out" Anna why didn't you tell me you had such a beautiful friend?". Katie blushed. " ahem Katie,  this is Yamato who is absolutely hilarious and you would definitely like him". I can well see they both are attracted to each other so I want to set them both up.

I just said" I'm feeling sleepy after a long day, so I am going to pass the movie, you both have fun!" and pretended to yawn.
