Chapter 5

Kaya's eyes widened as she felt Astrid's hot breath on the back of her neck. She tried to move, but her body seemed frozen in place. Martin, still in his wolf form, sprang into action, positioning himself between Kaya and Astrid.

With a fierce growl, Martin warned Astrid to back off. Astrid, taken aback by Martin's bravery, hesitated for a moment. Kaya took advantage of the distraction to break free from her temporary paralysis.

She spun around, her magic at the ready. Astrid, however, was not alone. A group of rebels, armed to the teeth, emerged from the shadows, surrounding Kaya and Martin.

Lames, who had been watching the scene unfold, sneered at Kaya. "You fools," he spat. "You think you can defeat me? I have the power of the ancient ones on my side!"

Kaya stood tall, her magic pulsing with determination. "We'll never give up," she declared. "We'll fight to the end to protect our territory and our pack."

Martin, still in his wolf form, let out a mighty howl, as if to rally the troops. Ryker and Lila, who had been fighting off rebels in another part of the mansion, heard the call and rushed to Kaya and Martin's aid.

Together, the four of them prepared to face off against Lames, Astrid, and their rebel army. The battle was far from over, and the outcome was still uncertain.

The air was electric with tension as the two groups faced off. Kaya's magic crackled with energy, while Martin's wolf formed a fierce power. Ryker and Lila stood tall, their eyes flashing with determination.

Lames sneered at the group, his eyes gleaming with malevolence. "You think you can defeat me?" he taunted. "I have the power of the ancient ones on my side!"

Astrid, still in her wolf form, growled low in her throat, her eyes fixed on Kaya. The rebels behind her shifted restlessly, their eyes darting between the two groups.

Kaya took a deep breath, her magic surging to the forefront. "We'll never back down," she declared, her voice ringing out across the room. "We'll fight to protect our territory and our pack!"

With a fierce cry, Martin launched himself at Astrid, the two wolves clashing in a flurry of fur and teeth. Ryker and Lila charged into the fray, taking down rebels left and right.

Kaya stood tall, her magic unleashing a barrage of blasts and shields. Lames retaliated with a wave of dark magic, but Kaya was ready for him. She summoned a powerful shield, deflecting the magic and sending it back to Lames.

The dark magic struck Lames with incredible force, sending him flying across the room. He crashed into a wall, his body slumping to the ground.

Astrid, enraged by Lames's defeat, launched herself at Kaya with renewed ferocity. Martin intercepted her, the two wolves engaging in a fierce battle.

Kaya took advantage of the distraction to strike at the rebels, her magic cutting through their ranks with ease. Ryker and Lila fought alongside her, their movements swift and deadly.

As the battle raged on, it seemed that the tide was turning in favor of Kaya and her allies.
