Jordan looked at his parents and explained to dispel their thoughts.

Jordan's father sighed and said, "Good if you truly let go."

"Well, I met Violet today and treated her to a meal. She wants to come tomorrow to meet you two. Are you two free tomorrow?" Jordan immediately changed the topic to divert their attention.

I don't want them to think about Emily and worried about my feelings for her. Whatever feelings or infatuations I had, I have gotten over them.

Jordan's parents immediately became more attentive and asked Jordan about Violet before shifting to their childhood memories where she always helped Jordan and ran after him for help whenever she was in trouble when she was just 4.
