On the other side, Sophia reached Winda’s apartment. She unlocked the door with the spare key Winda gave her. She always stayed at Winda’s apartment when ever she felt like not going home, and Winda gave her a spare key which she can use when ever she felt like staying with her. Winda immediately rushed to the door when she heard the door being unlocked. “Sophia is that you”? She asked nervously. Sophia sighed “ yes is me” she responded facing her friend. Winda quickly enveloped her friend in a hug. “ Oh Sophie I was so worried about you”. She whispered. She gently patted Winda’s back. “ As you can see, nothing bad happened to me so relax”. She said coaxing her friend. Releasing Sophia from the hug, she glared at her. “ Why didn’t you answer any of my text and calls”? And I even called Kevin but he didn’t even answer my calls either”. She said starring at Sophia. Sophia on the other hand stiffened when she heard Kevin’s name. She suddenly hugged Winda and cried. “ Kevin and I broke up”. Winda was surprised by her sudden hug but hearing about her breakup her eyes widened in shock. “What are you saying Sophia”? She asked not believing what she heard. Sophia hastily wiped her tears “ Let’s go and sit, I will tell you everything”. Making herself comfortable on the sofa, she dragged Winda beside her. “ Sophia did he cheat on you”? She inquired. Sophia nodded sadly. Winda gasped “ That jerk”!. “ Last night I went to his apartment and saw him having sex with Hilda in the bathroom and he even had the lguts to tell me that is all my fault”. Sophia sobbed harder putting her head on Winda’s thighs. Winda gently stroke her back. “ I can’t believe he will do such a thing to you and that too with Hilda”? “ Those two are animals” She fumed. “ And why did he blame you for that Sophie”? “ It doesn’t make any sense”. She sighed. Sophia lifted her head “ Well according to him I am not sexy enough and I don’t show enough skin whenever I dress, ha how hilarious.” She chuckled mockingly. Winda was furious hearing what Kevin told Sophia. “ How dare he say such a thing to you! “ I’m going to give that piece of shit a dirty slap on his face if ever see him”. Holding Winda’s hand she smiled “ Forget it Winda, maybe we weren’t meant to be.”! “ Hey don’t worry ok, am pretty sure you will find someone who will love and cherish you just the way you are. Winda said pinching Sophia’s cheek. Suddenly Keith’s face popped up in Sophia’s head. “ Why am I thinking of him”? She mused. “ Winda am hungry”! Sophia suddenly blurted out surprising Winda. “ Err isn’t she broken hearted”? She thought looking strangely at Sophia. Winda raised a brow in confusion. “ Sophia you surprise me sometimes you know” ?. She laughed. Sophia groaned “ Just get me some food will you”?. Winda snorted “ Don’t order me around am not your maid”. “ Will you please get me something to eat” ? She said in a sweet voice making Winda cringe. “ Unbelievable”!she muttered and left. Sophia sat there thinking about how she and Kevin were supposed to get married and start a life together but sadly it didn’t happen. “ Was it all my fault “? She asked herself and sighed. Winda brought Sophia’s food over and she ate so quickly as if she have been starving for ages. Winda watched in horror as Sophia gulped down her food. “ You really are hungry “Winda said with a chuckle. Sophia shrugged “ You can say that”. Right after eating Sophia made an excuse of being tired and ran to her bedroom. She knew Winda won’t let her off without asking her questions, and she wasn’t ready to tell Winda about her one night stand, at least not now. Sophia dived on her bed and let out a heavy sigh. “ Why does this keep happening to me”! She cupped her face in her hands and cried. “ First it was that idiot Jorge and now Kevin”. Jorge was Sophia’s first boyfriend who dumped her for her elder sister. Sophia was so heart broken that she had sworn not to love again and then came Kevin who made her break down her defenses against love. The funny part is that Jorge left her for the same reason Kevin did but the difference was Jorge never said it out loud, but his actions betrayed him. Her elder sister always taunted her because of her fashion sense but Sophia never paid attention to her as she was happy the way she was as long as her boyfriend didn’t complain about it. But who was she kidding, Jorge was never happy with her kind of dressing but she naively thought he liked her that way. Sophia never liked revealing clothes as she will feel uncomfortable in them so she chose to dress up conservatively. Thinking of all this Sophia buried her face in her pillow and cried herself to sleep.

...Keith who was in his home office was still thinking about Sophia. He couldn’t get her out of his mind. He rubbed his face with his hands, he was feeling frustrated. “Ah that damn woman, what did she do to me”!. He felt so attracted to her, he didn’t feel that way with his ex- girlfriend at all. Although they had been together for a year, he never had sexual relations with her. He even doubted his own sexual orientation. He thought he will never be attracted to any woman but meeting Sophia changed his whole perspective. Suddenly Sophia’s soft beautiful face popped up in his head. His head was filled with her moans, dewy eyes and her soft milky white skin. “Argh! That’s enough Keith”!. He sighed. Just then a knock was heard on his door. “ Who is it”!. He was annoyed that someone interrupted his thoughts. A girl wearing a black shirt with white pants walked in gracefully. “ Woah brother what’s with the attitude” she asked smiling slightly. Keith’s face softened up a bit when he saw her. “ What brings you to my office dear sister?” He asked raising a brow at her. The girl sat on the chair infront of Keith’s desk and crossed her legs. “ Do I need a reason to check up on my brother”? She asked amusedly. Keith chuckled “ You will never look for me if you didn’t need anything so come on out with it”!. He wasn’t going to sit and chit chat with her, he was a busy man after all. “ You wound me”! She said and dramatically wiped non existent tears away from her eyes. Rubbing his temples he scoffed. “ Jessica if you don’t have anything better to say then get out, I don’t have all day”. He loved this little sister of his but sometimes he couldn’t stand her at all. Like right now, he wanted to get some work done but she wasn’t allowing him. Jessica pouted her lips “ So grumpy”! she muttered. Keith heard her and glared hard at her. Jessica shivered, she must say what she wanted to say and get out immediately. “ Well I was wondering if you would like to go out with my friend Emma since you’ve always rejected the girls Santiago picked for you and you’re not getting any younger brother”! She said all that in one breath knowing fully well that Keith will get angry but she still dared to say all that. The room suddenly went silent that even if a pin dropped it will be hard to ignore the noise. Jessica didn’t dare to breathe loudly. Keith on the other hand was trying to contain the anger bubbling inside him. “ Get out before i drag you out myself “ he said through gritted teeth. He was fed up with everyone who was trying to set him up with any girl that comes to their mind. He wasn’t incapable of finding a woman!. He was just not interested in them. Oh so he thought. Jessica quickly got up and dashed out of the room. She wasn’t ready to die yet. She was just trying to set her brother up with her best friend who has a huge crush on him. She thought it will be nice if her best friend and her brother got together and even get married and have children but right now that little fantasy of hers have to wait. She took her phone and dailed her elder brother Santiago’s number. “ Hello”! A deep male voice came from the other end. Jessica sighed in relive as if she has found her savior. Santiago’s voice made her a little calm. “ Oh Santi I think I am in deep trouble”. She said nervously. “ What did you do this time”. He asked with a tint of annoyance in his voice. Jessica gulped nervously and recounted everything to him. Santiago rolled his eyes on the other end. He was going through some files when Jessica called. “ Why don’t you leave him alone for goodness sake”..! He was pissed off, Jessica never stops trying to match make her brother with her best friend. Santiago doesn’t have a good impression of Emma, he sees her as a gold digger and nothing else. He doesn’t want that kind of woman for his brother. He didn’t wait for Jessica to say anything else and hanged up. Jessica stared at her phone with a frown “ Did he just hanged up on me”? She stomped her feet angrily and walked off. ...
