Hereditary Prince's Wife
The enveloping darkness was slowly replaced by a glimmer of light that dazzled eyes that hadn't seen light in a long time. Asha woke up and opened his eyes in shock. His last memory was of him being in the riot and his head hurting from the impact. However, when Asha wanted to use his hand to touch his head, which still vaguely left a residual pain, his hand did not respond to his wishes. Asha immediately felt his whole body feel stiff and numb, he thought that maybe he was still under the effects of anaesthesia in the hospital. However, Asha slowly realized something as his eyes began to adjust to the surrounding light. Asha gazed at his surroundings and a feeling of unfamiliarity arose, but a sense of familiarity of a place he didn't know where he felt. The room was very different from the room in the hospital and not the room in his house.
Asha stared at the ceiling of the room, which was clearly different from his room or even the room he was used to seeing in his life so far. The style of the room, the construction of the room, was similar to traditional buildings or temples. The room was very unfamiliar, but he also felt that he knew this room well. He knew that next to his bed there was a rope hanging and if he pulled it, there would be a bell sound loud enough to wake up people sleeping on the outside of the room. Somehow, Asha knew all that.
Asha used all his remaining strength to move his stiff hands and pull the rope that he could see from the side of his eyes. "Lifting my hand is so heavy, am I paralysed after that beating?", Asha muttered in his heart because his lips also couldn't respond well to open and let out the words that were in his throat.
With great difficulty, his hand finally managed to grab the rope that was only a few centimetres away from his hand that was lying on the bed. Asha pulled the rope and a few seconds later, the sound of a bell was heard. Asha shifted his head to look around. After his hand could move a little, the rest of his body could gradually follow his commands. Asha felt as if his body did not belong to him, so when his brain told his body to do something, there was resistance or rather, that his body responded as if his body and mind were separate.
"Maybe it's because I just realized, and this is where it is", Asha thought, and looked at an object that seemed to give him a big clue. Asha looked at the night stand and saw a beautiful and elegant-looking skewer and crown, made of precious metals that were forged together to form an elegant crown. Asha fondly remembered this crown and skewer that he saw. He had seen it before somewhere, but not in person but in a picture. He remembered it because of its beautiful and elegant shape, especially when used by the owner, who had long black hair that was straight and shiny with a pale white face.
" Zane's crown, this is very similar to the image of the crown that Zane's character always wore. The crown that was left by Zane's biological mother, that he always wore until he died." Asha thought, remembering the image of the crown in front of his eyes.
While his mind was thinking about a character named Zane from the book he read earlier, someone entered the room and greeted him with a joyful voice that expressed relief, "Young master, are you awake?!!! I'll call the doctor and Lord Marques first!!!".
As if a hurricane passed by, the girl who entered the room immediately walked away and left Asha confused. "Since when am I called young master? Ahh, where the hell is this", Asha muttered in his heart.
His body had started to synchronize with his mind, so he could now turn his head left and right more freely. His hands were also easier to move than before, but his lower body and his feet still felt numb and did not respond to his desire to move. "It might take some time to adjust after waking up, the anaesthesia must not have completely worn off".
Asha looked around and finally realized that there was a lot of confusion and something was slowly entering his mind, which was getting faster and faster until he seemed to be seeing fragmented images of a person. Asha seemed to be able to see a person's life path from his childhood to getting older. The fragments of the picture made his head hurt so much that he felt like banging his head against the wall.
Two adult men who were probably between 35–40 years old came running into the room and immediately approached Asha, and the girl who was also running behind the two men. The two adult men that Asha saw for the first time, in his mind he knew that they were his father and the family doctor. Asha remembered both of them from the fragments of images that entered his mind until it made his head hurt so much.
The man wearing military clothing was obviously his father, General Thylane. General Thylane quickly took Asha's hand and asked worriedly, "How are you, son? You finally woke up too. I was so worried about you".
"..." Asha's lips, that had opened but could not get the words out, could only close again and Asha, with his dizzy head, knew what words he unconsciously wanted to say.
"Father... He is my father, General Thylane. So, I... Am I Zane?" Asha spoke silently while looking at General Thylane, who still looked young enough to have a son of Asha's age.
"General, young master Zane just woke up. Let me examine him first," the family doctor said, which made me turn to him.
"If he is Thylane's family doctor, then he means Albert Agata's doctor. The person in charge of Zane's health, I always felt there was something strange about this person, but because Zane is not the main character, the surrounding characters are not told in detail. Even about Zane himself, there is only a little told. If I really become Zane, then this is the person I should pay close attention to", thought Asha, who looked at Doctor Albert who was holding his hand and reading his pulse.
"Thankfully, the young master woke up at the right time. If it had been a day late then I might have had to remove my head. Right now, the recovery of his body might be slow, but as long as nothing unexpected happens, then young master will be able to return to his former self." Said Doctor Albert, who let go of Zane's hand and smiled at Zane.
"Good, good, do your best for Zane and your head will be safe", said General Thylane, who sat beside the bed and held Zane's hand.
"Wow, my dad is so cool. I knew General Thylane was cool, too bad he remarried that granny". Asha was silent, but his heart was swearing.
