Hereditary Prince's Wife

Chapter 1

The enveloping darkness was slowly replaced by a glimmer of light that dazzled eyes that hadn't seen light in a long time. Asha woke up and opened his eyes in shock. His last memory was of him being in the riot and his head hurting from the impact. However, when Asha wanted to use his hand to touch his head, which still vaguely left a residual pain, his hand did not respond to his wishes. Asha immediately felt his whole body feel stiff and numb, he thought that maybe he was still under the effects of anaesthesia in the hospital. However, Asha slowly realized something as his eyes began to adjust to the surrounding light. Asha gazed at his surroundings and a feeling of unfamiliarity arose, but a sense of familiarity of a place he didn't know where he felt. The room was very different from the room in the hospital and not the room in his house.

Asha stared at the ceiling of the room, which was clearly different from his room or even the room he was used to seeing in his life so far. The style of the room, the construction of the room, was similar to traditional buildings or temples. The room was very unfamiliar, but he also felt that he knew this room well. He knew that next to his bed there was a rope hanging and if he pulled it, there would be a bell sound loud enough to wake up people sleeping on the outside of the room. Somehow, Asha knew all that.

Asha used all his remaining strength to move his stiff hands and pull the rope that he could see from the side of his eyes. "Lifting my hand is so heavy, am I paralysed after that beating?", Asha muttered in his heart because his lips also couldn't respond well to open and let out the words that were in his throat.

With great difficulty, his hand finally managed to grab the rope that was only a few centimetres away from his hand that was lying on the bed. Asha pulled the rope and a few seconds later, the sound of a bell was heard. Asha shifted his head to look around. After his hand could move a little, the rest of his body could gradually follow his commands. Asha felt as if his body did not belong to him, so when his brain told his body to do something, there was resistance or rather, that his body responded as if his body and mind were separate.

"Maybe it's because I just realized, and this is where it is", Asha thought, and looked at an object that seemed to give him a big clue. Asha looked at the night stand and saw a beautiful and elegant-looking skewer and crown, made of precious metals that were forged together to form an elegant crown. Asha fondly remembered this crown and skewer that he saw. He had seen it before somewhere, but not in person but in a picture. He remembered it because of its beautiful and elegant shape, especially when used by the owner, who had long black hair that was straight and shiny with a pale white face.

" Zane's crown, this is very similar to the image of the crown that Zane's character always wore. The crown that was left by Zane's biological mother, that he always wore until he died." Asha thought, remembering the image of the crown in front of his eyes.

While his mind was thinking about a character named Zane from the book he read earlier, someone entered the room and greeted him with a joyful voice that expressed relief, "Young master, are you awake?!!! I'll call the doctor and Lord Marques first!!!".

As if a hurricane passed by, the girl who entered the room immediately walked away and left Asha confused. "Since when am I called young master? Ahh, where the hell is this", Asha muttered in his heart.

His body had started to synchronize with his mind, so he could now turn his head left and right more freely. His hands were also easier to move than before, but his lower body and his feet still felt numb and did not respond to his desire to move. "It might take some time to adjust after waking up, the anaesthesia must not have completely worn off".

Asha looked around and finally realized that there was a lot of confusion and something was slowly entering his mind, which was getting faster and faster until he seemed to be seeing fragmented images of a person. Asha seemed to be able to see a person's life path from his childhood to getting older. The fragments of the picture made his head hurt so much that he felt like banging his head against the wall.

Two adult men who were probably between 35–40 years old came running into the room and immediately approached Asha, and the girl who was also running behind the two men. The two adult men that Asha saw for the first time, in his mind he knew that they were his father and the family doctor. Asha remembered both of them from the fragments of images that entered his mind until it made his head hurt so much.

The man wearing military clothing was obviously his father, General Thylane. General Thylane quickly took Asha's hand and asked worriedly, "How are you, son? You finally woke up too. I was so worried about you".

"..." Asha's lips, that had opened but could not get the words out, could only close again and Asha, with his dizzy head, knew what words he unconsciously wanted to say.

"Father... He is my father, General Thylane. So, I... Am I Zane?" Asha spoke silently while looking at General Thylane, who still looked young enough to have a son of Asha's age.

"General, young master Zane just woke up. Let me examine him first," the family doctor said, which made me turn to him.

"If he is Thylane's family doctor, then he means Albert Agata's doctor. The person in charge of Zane's health, I always felt there was something strange about this person, but because Zane is not the main character, the surrounding characters are not told in detail. Even about Zane himself, there is only a little told. If I really become Zane, then this is the person I should pay close attention to", thought Asha, who looked at Doctor Albert who was holding his hand and reading his pulse.

"Thankfully, the young master woke up at the right time. If it had been a day late then I might have had to remove my head. Right now, the recovery of his body might be slow, but as long as nothing unexpected happens, then young master will be able to return to his former self." Said Doctor Albert, who let go of Zane's hand and smiled at Zane.

"Good, good, do your best for Zane and your head will be safe", said General Thylane, who sat beside the bed and held Zane's hand.

"Wow, my dad is so cool. I knew General Thylane was cool, too bad he remarried that granny". Asha was silent, but his heart was swearing.

Chapter 2

Asha sat in his wheelchair staring at the koi fish swimming in an artificial pond decorated with several lotus plants. Unfortunately, the lotus flowers were not in bloom, so the view of the pond did not attract Asha's eyes. Asha had been in Zane's body for two months and during that time many of Zane's memories had begun to be known, but there were still many memories that were fragmented and, most importantly, Asha could not remember the whole of the book 'Crown Prince Who Takes Off His Crown'.

" Damn, it's been two months since I've been in Zane's body, but neither my memory nor Zane's original memory is really complete. Zane is also only a minor character in the book 'Crown Prince Who Loses His Crown', so there is very little about Zane, and even then I can't remember everything. What is certain is that Zane will die before the age of 17 and that his death will not be due to his weak and sickly body but to something else. Ahh, why have I forgotten something important?! So why did Zane die? He's paralysed, he stays at home all the time and doesn't interact with other people, so why did he die? " Asha muttered in a low voice as he stared at the koi fish swimming around the pond.

"Ah! There is only one possible reason for Zane's death, and that is treason. What if General Thylane was accused of treason and ended up on death row with his entire family? Ah, not at all, as far as I remember, General Thylane was one of the generals who was very loyal to the Emperor, and his reputation was also very good. Then why did he die? " Asha took the begonia leaf from beside him and chewed it unconsciously.

" Young master, if you're hungry, I'll make you some snacks. So please don't just chew the leaves. " The maid named Gene said.

Zane removed the begonia leaf that was already at the corner of his mouth, smiled at Gene and said quietly, "Dear Gene, what snacks are good to eat while fishing?"

"Huh?" Gene looked confused by the young master's words.

" I'm bored, give me a fishing rod, and I'll catch the koi to make soup. So make me a snack while I wait for the koi fish to come to me. " Zane said, pointing to the koi fish swimming around the pond.

" Master, if you want fish soup. I'll ask the kitchen to make fish soup. You don't need to fish for the koi. " Gene replied in confusion and resignation.

" Ah, I don't want to. I wanted to fish for the koi. I couldn't go out of the house, so it wouldn't be wrong if I did it at home. Go and get me a fishing rod. " Zane looked at Gene with a mischievous smile. Gene could not refuse her young master's orders and immediately found a fishing rod and bait for her young master to fish for Koi fish in the pond.

Zane casually waits for his bait to be eaten by the Koi fish in the pond, while waiting for him to tell Gene to prepare a fire to burn the fish. Gene reminds him of this, but Zane doesn't care and wants to go ahead with his plan to eat the grilled koi fish from the pond in his house.

"Wow, this koi fish is big too," Zane stared at the grilled koi that had just been cooked.

All Gene could see was her young master eating the koi meat bit by bit. Gene said to herself." The young master seems to be getting more and more excited every day, and I'm so happy, but why is he getting more and more mischievous? His mischievous behaviour is daily. I hope the lady doesn't know."

It seemed that Gene's words were a wish and Mrs. Thylane, who had not seen the bridge of her nose for some time, actually appeared, seeing Zane's behaviour eating the koi fish by the pond. Mrs. Thylane is known for her gentle and kind nature, so Marques Thylane falls in love with her and accepts her to be Zane's stepmother. In reality, this was not the case, Mrs. Thylane only loved her own sons and daughters and ignored the children of the concubines. It's just that in Zane's case, she always looks loving and caring for Zane in front of others, but not in her heart. Zane clearly knew Mrs. Thylane's hatred for himself and knew the falsehood of her affection.

"Zane! What do you do? Do you want to get sick again and trouble others again!", said Mrs. Thylane, who came with her two servants.

"Oh", Zane turned and looked at his stepmother, who was wearing a different outfit than most people in the Odessa region. The long dress was full of lace and the top had no sleeves and only lace that hung the dress that looked like a balloon over the shoulders of its owner. Not to mention her hair, which is slicked up with ribbon decorations and transparent lace that matches the dress. Her glass shoes are also seen reflecting light every time she walks and lifts her dress.

The Lyndsey Empire has many cultures and styles in each region, such as Odessa, Asalie, and Hisa, which use wood, bamboo and stone buildings, buildings that rarely have more than two floors. The building is elegant, simple and has natural colours. Likewise with their clothes, which on average use some kind of clothing with wide sleeves. If Zane compares it to his time in another world, the regions of Odessa, Asalie and Hisa have a culture of dress and buildings similar to those of ancient culture in China, Japan, and Korea. The clothes are such as hanfu, kimono and hanbok, and the buildings are also similar to those of the ancient Chinese dynasty as well as the kingdoms of Japan and ancient Korea. While in other regions, such as in Lindsen, Visola, Faxon, Zoie and Liv have buildings and dress styles that are like Europe, with luxurious buildings made up of cement and sturdy pillars and clothes in the form of suits, shirts and lace dresses. What is quite different is that Quanika on average wears clothes like the pope and nuns like in the era of Catholics in ancient Rome. The rest are mostly mixed between several other cultures.

Mrs. Thylane herself is a noble person born in Zoei with a strong European style, so that even when she married General Thylane, she still occasionally wore her dresses that did not seem to fit with Marques Thylane's mansion. Zane looked at his stepmother's face, who couldn't hide her hatred and dislike for him. Zane had met his stepmother several times over the past two months and all of them when his father was around, his stepmother is excellent at acting, so he didn't think that his stepmother hated him at first. However, his memory explains it all, and now he can see it all clearly.

"Did you just come home from somewhere? As far as I remember, my father didn't really like the dress like the bird's nest," said Zane, who smiled at his stepmother.

Mrs. Thylane looked annoyed and quickly walked up to Zane and said with her anger and hatred in check, "What do you say?"

Zane has learned a little about his family that he can't get from Zane's original memories, and also from his own memories of the original novel. Obviously, it will not be explained in the novel because Zane is just a minor character, just like Mrs. Thylane. But after asking Gene and telling her to find out a few things, Zane finds out a lot. Such as the fact that his biological mother, General Thylane's first wife and the woman who accompanied General Thylane from a young age and while still holding the title of ordinary General and later became a Count. Her mother was the daughter of a general who was also a senior to General Thylane and who helped him to become a Count. Although his biological mother's family did not have a noble title, among the soldiers, his biological mother's family was highly respected. General Thylane fell in love with his first wife from a young age, and the two married after General Thylane returned from the war and later received the title of Count.

After becoming Count, General Thylane got the Odessa region to lead and for the first time ended up in the capital of Lindsen to meet the Emperor. It was at that time that his stepmother met General Thylane and fell in love. But unfortunately, General Thylane already had a legal wife who became his Countess. But, because she liked General Thylane very much, her stepmother was willing to become a concubine and went with him to Odessa, which was not as calm as it is now. Perhaps General Thylane's position at that time was not so good that he could not refuse the girls given to him.

Bad luck befell his first wife who was waiting in Odessa, after giving birth to Zane, her health deteriorated and shortly after General Thylane returned to Odessa with some of the Emperor's maidens and other nobles, his first wife died. Mrs. Thylane, who is now also finally his legal wife. But, even though she has become her legal wife, Mrs. Thylane is still very afraid of losing her position, which ends in the tragedy of the death of the other concubines and the difficulty of having a new birth in this mansion. And Mrs. Thylane likes to compare herself to General Thylane's first wife and hates her and her son.

"Take Zane into his room and just feed him white rice with leek soup for 3 days", said Mrs. Thylane, who stared at Zane and then at Gene as if she was threatening Gene. Mrs. Thylane didn't seem to want to deal with Zane for too long, and she turned away by lifting her dress.

"Young master", Gene looked at his young master who was still relaxed, continuing to eat the grilled koi fish in his hand.

"It's okay, there's still rice", Zane smiled as if he didn't care and then continued to eat again.

Chapter 3

As a result of eating rice and leek soup for 3 days, Zane suddenly fainted right on the third day, which scared everyone, because before fainting, Zane complained of a headache that was so painful that he vomited several times until all his stomach contents came out. Zane was unconscious for 2 days and made General Thylane return home from the border. When the doctor examined him, the doctor could not give a definitive answer and could only try as hard as he could to get Zane to regain consciousness.

Mrs. Thylane, who gave orders for Zane to eat only rice and leek soup, finally received a warning from General Thylane and no longer dared to punish Zane in the same way again. But after the fainting incident, Zane's condition did not improve. Zane complained that his head hurt every time he woke up from his sleep, so he chose to sleep all the time. Even while sleeping, his body would continue to sweat and his body would have a fever suddenly and then suddenly it would become icy cold. General Thylane was increasingly worried about the condition of his eldest son, so he ran to the capital to meet the Emperor.

General Thylane could be called someone who believed so much in heaven and the heavenly orders that he was quite deep in the existing religion. He knew about the Imperial teacher who was the former leader of Quanika who was believed to be a saint and could speak to the heavens. However, the Saint had already separated himself from the mundane and was hiding somewhere. General Thylane planned to ask the Emperor, who was the only person who could ask the Imperial teacher to meet him, to ask the Imperial teacher to meet him.

" Your majesty, it has been a dozen years since I have served this country, but my eldest son has had many health problems since childhood and my other children have also either died in childhood or died on the battlefield. Your majesty, forgive me for asking for a brazen desire to meet with the imperial teacher. I just want to ask for his light for my eldest son, Your majesty. " General Thylane, still dashing in his wide-sleeved all-white dress and long hair tied up without a single ornament, knelt on the ground facing the Emperor who sat on his throne.

"Empress, what do you think?" the Emperor looked back at the curtain behind him.

A woman in a red dress and golden hair wearing a diamond crown walked out of the curtain and stood beside the Emperor. " Your majesty, Marques Thylane, is a general who has been on the border since childhood to keep the peace of our Great Lyndsey. So, if you are willing, then I want to help Marques to meet with the Imperial teacher. "

General Thylane had heard rumours that Empress Camille and the Emperor had a very good relationship, and Empress Camille helped the Emperor a lot in taking care of royal affairs. As long as it was not a political affair, then Empress Camille would be welcome to intervene by the Emperor. In addition, although not from a noble family that rules a region, Empress Camille's family has a great influence because Empress Camille's father is the teacher of many scholars who are nobles, ministers and members of the military.

" Alright, you just take care of Marques Thylane's meeting with the Imperial teacher. I hope the meeting between the two of you can bring about the success you want for your eldest son. " The Emperor looked at the Empress and smiled before finally looking at Marques Thylane.

After a few days of waiting, General Thylane received word from the Empress that he could meet the Imperial teacher. General Thylane immediately went to the meeting place with the Imperial teacher in the Quanika region. General Thylane comes with Prince Arleth, who will also go to Quanika to join the religious academy in Quanika. General Thylane did not mind himself taking and guarding Prince Arleth on his way to Quanika.

Arriving in Quanika, General Thylane escorted Prince Arleth to Elinor Academy and then went to a sacred place in the mountains of Quanika to meet the Imperial teacher. The Imperial Teacher was already waiting for him in a large enough room with a large fountain in the middle of the empty room. A podium with a ledger on it stood not far from the fountain. The imperial teacher stood behind the podium and stared at General Thylane's arrival.

"Imperial teacher", General Thylane looked at the Imperial teacher who was also staring at him among the fountains that continued to spew out clear bluish water.

Above the fountain is a glass roof that makes the fountain reflect the view of the blue sky above. The imperial teacher glanced at the fountain and said, "I've heard it, I read it and got a clue. Humans have energy in each of them, things in nature and everything in this world has its own energy. A balance is needed between these energies so that life can run properly and as well as possible. Your family has too much dark and passive energy with such a powerful water element. Marry your child to someone who has a very bright and active energy that can suppress the energy in your family, and they must be earth-based to suppress the water element. However, that person must have the same war blood as you so as not to destroy the existing balance and be strong enough to resist the smell of blood. It would also be much better if the person was 21 years old, because at that age, they have better energy and if the flower is a flower that is in full bloom."

General Thylane was both confused and stunned by the imperial teacher's words, "But, which woman has the same war blood as me?"

"What about your daughter? You can marry him to a qualified knight", replied the Imperial teacher calmly.

General Thylane looked at the white-haired middle-aged man and said, "My daughter is only 10 years old, as long as her first night can be postponed until she is an adult, then I don't think it matters."

"It can't, it won't be useful. So, wait until your daughter grows up if there is still time", said the Imperial teacher, who descended the podium and walked to the fountain.

"My son is already like that, but my daughter is still too young to get married. Imperial teacher is there no other way out?", General Thylane walked towards the fountain.

"Marry your son to a qualified knight. Your eldest son has a dark, passive and feminine energy. Not to mention that his body was almost drowned in the water to the point that it was difficult to breathe. He can't marry a woman, but maybe a man will help him live," said the Imperial teacher, who stared at the sky shadow from the fountain and frowned.

"Go back to your son and marry him immediately before he drowns. I will send a letter to Your majesty about your son's marriage to a man who meets the criteria. Go home and prepare yourself", said the Imperial Teacher, who stood with a sour face staring at the fountain.
