Chapter 4

General Thylane looked at the imperial edict in his hand and then looked at his son, who was sleeping on his bed with a strong smell of medicine. General Thylane stared at his eldest son's pale face, with sweat slowly dripping from his temples and wrinkles on his forehead that never disappeared. General Thylane sighed and then tidied up his son's blanket before leaving his son's room.

A few days later, Zane, who had not been able to get out of bed for a month, woke up and this time he had met his father, who always came at the wrong time, when he was asleep. Zane looked at his father, who was just sitting next to him, and sighed many times. Zane thought, "Could it be that I'm going to die again soon, until my father looks at me so miserably and can only sigh every few seconds? It's appropriate because this father has tried to raise Zane, who has been sick since childhood, but it turns out that he only survived to this age".

"Dad, don't sigh continuously. I'm fine, like this isn't bad either. But if I leave first, it's not a bad thing either. Dad doesn't have to worry too much about me like this. Dad still has other children that need to take care of. Don't get sick because you only think about me", said Zane, slowly trying to look fine.

"I'll calm you down, General Thylane, as a good father to Zane. At least this is all I can do. But, maybe because Zane was possessed by me, so he had to die early", in the heart of Zane, who looked at General Thylane with a smile on his lips.

"What are you saying? You will definitely get better, son. You're going to follow me, right? Dad wants you to get well. So dad uses all the means I can, so you have to obey and keep fighting to get better", General Thylane used a blue handkerchief to wipe Zane's sweaty forehead.

"Hah, just to sit and speak a few words, this body is already exhausted to the point of sweating. It's tiring to be Zane", Zane muttered in his heart, which kept a smile on his face for General Thylane.

"Yes, Dad. Zane would follow you and fight, but dad... If fate doesn't make it possible, Zane hopes you won't be too sad." Zane said quietly while holding General Thylane's hand, holding a handkerchief.

Zane’s condition worsened once more, and he didn’t regain consciousness until Asalie’s letter arrived. General Thylane immediately read the letter and breathed a sigh of relief. General Thylane immediately took care of everything and the Thylane family mansion became very busy. The culture of Odessa and Asalie is more or less the same, so General Thylane does not need to think hard to adjust the marriage culture between Odessa and Asalie. General Thylane knew that Asalie accepted the marriage to Odessa out of pity and also could not avoid the imperial edict, so General Thylane did not want Zane to be treated badly there and brought many valuables to bring to Asalie.

While the wedding preparations were almost complete and only less than enough to deliver the bride to their new family home, Zane was still in his bed quietly, not knowing what was going on at the moment. Zane had been bathed very carefully and changed into an all-red wedding dress and a veil. Generals Thylane and Gene know that Zane loves his biological mother's heirloom so much that they use it for his hairband ornament, adorned with other ornaments. Zane had sat in his carriage leaving Thylane's residence with his eyes still closed and his breath still weak and calm, as if he was asleep. Asalie knows Zane's situation, and they make it easier by meeting the bride and groom in a mansion near the border between Odessa and Asalie.

The red cloth that adorned the entire mansion, which was similar to the mansion belonging to the Thylane family, glowed, reflecting the bright light of the lamp. The night had just begun, it looked quiet and there were only a few mansion guards and soldiers on guard. This wedding between Odessa and Asalie is unlike other royal weddings that will be celebrated with great fanfare and numerous guests from various places. Instead, this wedding features a simple altar adorned with candles and red cloth. The elders of the family also did not appear to be present, and only the groom sat on a chair in front of the altar, waiting for the bride to arrive.

"Young master, Your Highness Sovereign Prince reminds you not to consume this wedding now because of the condition of your bride, who is sick and is also too young. No matter how beautiful the young mistress is, you have to hold it for now," said a young man standing not far from the groom, who was dressed in a red wedding gown with wide sleeves and long hair tied with red cloth and adorned with a crown and gold conde.

"I know, I don't intend to either. The sick woman, sent to me, later treated her properly. At least for the rest of her life here, she won't suffer", the groom replied in a deep voice, his stern but sweet face showing resolve.

The sound of horses' footsteps sounded, the gate of the mansion opened and the entourage from Odessa came. The frontmost carriage decorated with red cloth stopped right in front of the mansion's wide open door and revealed the groom sitting in front of the altar. The attendant got off from the front of the carriage and opened the carriage door for the bride who was in the carriage. But for a while, everyone was silent because there was not the slightest movement from inside the carriage, as if the bride was reluctant to get off the carriage. The groom got up from his seat and walked out to pick up his bride.

"Bring a wheelchair," said Gene, who got off the other carriage to the other servants.

"...", The groom stared at the wheelchair that was lowered from the other carriage and brought to the door of the bride's carriage.

"Help me", Gene would get into the carriage and tell the other young male servants to get into the carriage as well.

Currently, in addition to the maids from the Thylane family, there were several people from Asalie. In addition to the groom, there was a person guarding the door and one person walking behind the groom. Everyone fell silent as the groom moved his hands and spoke in a voice so authoritative, "Let me take her inside".

Gene was a little frightened to see the groom, who had a tall body as well as such a stern face and sharp gaze. Gene wanted to stop him, but her voice seemed to stop at her neck, so that before the sound came out, the groom had already entered the carriage. Gene just hoped that everything was fine. She didn't know who the groom was because General Thylane only said that the groom was the family of the Sovereign Prince of Asalie and told the servants who came along to respect him and serve him well.
