Lunch Break

12/20/18

“How can you eat broccoli??”

I awkwardly swallowed the green food, “It tastes good?”

“Ew, that’s gross Tyler. Blueberries are way better,” Jaxon scoffed.

I rolled my eyes, “Whatever.”

Jaxon ran his fingers through his hair and leaned back in his seat relaxed.

I glanced from the corner of my eye, and saw Jade jumping around with another girl. I laughed a little, she was so adorable…

“Why are you smiling?” Jacobi nudged my arm.

I grunted, “Nothing.”

Jacobi turned to where I was looking and frowned, “You need to get over her man.”

I turned away and caught Jaxon looking at me, “Yes?”

“You like her?”

I looked down at the table and spotted one more piece of broccoli, then threw it at his face to change the topic. He glared back at me.

“Umm, excuse me, Jaxon?” An innocent voice called from behind me.

I quickly turned to see who, it was Jade’s friend, Jetta.

“Go away Jetta, nobody cares,” I grunted annoyed.

She gave me the stink eyes before looking back at Jaxon innocently.

“I was wondering if you were seeing anyone…”

My eyes widened, she was here to confess her feelings.

I laughed, “Jetta you crack me up. But I have to admit, you do have guts.”

She glared at me, “Was I talking to you? No, so shut up.”

I crossed my arms and smiled as Jaxon straightened his back pissed off.

“What was your name again?” He asked.

She smiled happy he was talking to her, “Jetta.”

I watched as Jaxon leaned closer seeming more threatening by the second.

“Don’t talk to my friend like that ever again Jetta. I don’t like girls that have guts to scold an innocent.”

She frowned, “Oh don’t worry Jaxon! It’s just a joke between me and Ty here.”

I glared at her, “Get out of here already, can’t you tell he’s not interested?”

Jetta held her breath angrily and clenched her jaw staring at me.

Jaxon clears his throat, “Jetta, go.”

She frowns immediately, “But why? I-I brought you chocolate covered strawberries!!” she held out her box full of berries.

“Look, I don’t like you, now leave me alone.”

Her jaw widened, “That's not how I work Jaxon. Whenever I actually try to get something, I get it. You can’t reject me, you haven’t even given me a chance.”

He held his hands and rested them on the table like a businessman, “And what if I told you I liked someone?”

“Well I wouldn’t believe you. You’re new and know nobody.”

“But you don’t know me, so how do you like me?”

She gulped, “Fine. But this doesn't mean I give up! I’m just waiting for her to crush you so you will come crawling to me.”

Damn I almost forgot how aggressive she was…

“I don’t get on my knees for anyone,” Jaxon claimed.

Jetta pouted before stomping back to Jade. Her black heels echoed through the lunchroom as she angrily walked back to her cliche.

“Stay clear from those hoes Tyler.”

I glanced up at Jaxon to see him mean mugging Jade, who was comforting Jetta.

I sighed, “You’re no better Jaxon.”

He looked at me with wide eyes, “How can you compare me to that crazy woman??”

I crossed my arms watching as Jaxon slowly stood up.

“I’m much better than her Tyler. Even though I’m an ***, I’m not that bad.”

“Prove it,” I spoke while sipping water.

His eyes twitched before he leaned close, “I will princess.”

He leaned back and walked out of the lunchroom. I coughed awkwardly, whenever he called me ‘Princess’ I felt really weird…

“Well,” Jacobi sighed exhausted, “This’ll be interesting.”

I smiled a little, “Yeah.”

I believe I owe an apology for any of my supporters. I haven’t been posting anything for a long time, but to make up for that I’m updating all of my stories but they probably won’t get passed right away, so I’m sorry for even more delay! Love you guys!
