The Confined Princess is about Estelle, who is the emperor's cherished sister but she knows the truth! The only reason she is never able to step outside because the emperor considers her as a threat to the throne. But determined to see the world outside, she begins her training to be the most powerful knight in the country. After being able to secretly master swords, she approaches the emperor's most trusted knight, Duke Noah Wynknight, whose only reason to be loyal to the emperor is the blood oath swored by his ancestors. All the Wynknights till now were loyal to the emperors by their body, soul and heart but Noah was different. He saw his father and mother suffer because of the blood oath and swore that he would try his best so that his descendants don't go through the same thing he did.
Observing this situation, Estelle decided to take help from him in exchange of freeing him from the oath.The emperor agrees, thinking that if the princess married into the Wynknight family he could order her to give up her right to the throne but little did he know that his peaceful life was coming to an end

He remembers his parents' suffering due to the oath and swears to break it, so when Estelle approaches him with the information to break the oath, he decides to help her become the ruler of the empire
