Chapter 4 - "Time Travel"

After coming to, Monica stood in front of the bedroom window looking out.

"This house, is this the Mansion that Ryan built for Lauren?" muttered Monica herself looking outside

She remembered that today was not in the diary but this month they all had stopped writing in the diary.

"This Mansion will be finished soon, I never thought we would live here later!" said a guy voice from behind

When she looked back, it turned out to be Ryan, who was Lauren's fiancé, her great-grandfather.

"Great-grandfather?" said Monica accidentally then stunned herself

"Are you alright, what did you just say?" ask Ryan walked closer to Monica

"No no, I'm fine!" said Monica with an awkward smile

"It's so strange why I have to be my great-grandfather's fiancée!" muttered herself while faking her smile

"I got the news from Marie, then I came straight back from the company here!" said Ryan to Monica

"You should have stayed at the company, I'm fine, I just accidentally fell in!" said Monica looking at Ryan

Just then Marie came and gave Monica a little lunch, with a cup of hot tea.

"This tea is your favorite, miss!" said Marie handing her a cup of tea

"Just put it down, I'll drink it later!" said Monica to Marie

After talking to Ryan for a while, he finally decided to return to the company, and Monica immediately looked for Lauren's diary from the previous days to see what happened.

She searched around the room but found nothing, with a sigh, she finally went to ask Marie if she had seen her book which was shaped like an European design.

"I don't know about that book, Is there a book like that?" ask Marie confused

It turns out that no one knows about the book, it turns out that the book is a secret from people. But if the book is a secret, how could Nicholas have it.

"Does that mean he knows where the book is?" muttered Monica to herself then going out

"Marie can give me the address of our house and my friend Nicholas!" said Monica to Marie

"Alright miss!" answer Marie went to downstairs

After that, Monica drove her own car to the city center to find out where the diary was, While touring the city using an old car, and the feel of the old city.

The rattle of cobblestone echoed beneath the tires, horse carriages passed her by, no glowing traffic lights, no street ads, It was all real.

After arriving at her home she tried to look for her diary, but she couldn't find it, she didn't know where Lauren put it, it was strange if she asked Nicholas.

"Miss, when did you come home? I was so surprised!" said a middle age woman voice

"Oh I just came back from the Mansion, I was looking for something, have you ever seen that European style book?" ask Monica to the middle age woman

"No, I've never seen it!" said the middle age woman

She then went upstairs to her house which she was still unfamiliar with, she walked around, she felt like she had been in this house before, but she didn't remember when.

"Whose room is this?" ask Monica to herself confused searching around

After searching several rooms she finally arrived at her study room, she then rummaged through all the drawers and cupboards, finally she found the diary.

"This diary, I finally found it!" said Monica happily jumped a little

After that she opened the diary, and she found lots of new pages that she had never read before, it turned out that many of the pages that were missing in the future were torn pages.

She was shocked because in the real world the book looked like it had never been torn at all, and the torn pages turned out to be her diary about Juliet and Nicholas and others.

"This is all about Juliet's presence, why isn't she in the future, and this is about Nicholas too why is everything gone, in the future there is only Lauren's point of view on Ryan!" said Monica confused folding the page

Suddenly she remembered a newspaper fragment from the future which stated that Lauren Lu committed suicide because of heartache over the cancellation of her engagement with Ryan Tang.

"There seems to be something strange here, did someone tear this on purpose!" said Monica close the diary and took it with her

When she went downstairs she wanted to go find Nicholas and ask him some questions about herself since they seemed close in the story from Austin, but suddenly Juliet Lie appeared.

"Lauren, where are you going in such a hurry?" ask Juliet suddenly standing in front of her

"This face, the way she talks, the way she dresses, this is unmistakably Juliet, my step great-grandmother!" muttered Monica to herself looking at Juliet

"Are you okay, why do you look so quiet?" ask Juliet waving her hand in front of Monica

"I'm fine!" said Monica with a smile

"Who would have thought that in the future she was a murderer who was so cruel to poison Marie, and kill innocent people she seemed dangerous!" muttered Monica to herself again

"You promised that you would go out with me tonight, so I'm ready to come and meet you!" said Juliet to Monica

"But can it be cancelled for today, I have urgent business!" said Monica to Juliet smiling

"Alright, you always cancel our events, is it because you have to go out with Ryan?" ask Juliet to Monica curious

"No, I just have some business!" said Monica then leaving the house
