Chapter 5 - "Missing Pieces!"

Monica finally drove her car to Nicholas' house address that Marie had given her. When she got there, she stopped and was surprised to find that Nicholas' house was very big.

"Excuse me miss, are you looking for someone here?" ask a servant walking towards Monica

"Yes I'm looking for a person named Nicholas Hu!" said Monica to the servant

"Mr. Hu is not at home, would you like to wait for him?" ask the servant

"No need, I'm back!" said a guy voice suddenly from behind

When she looked back, this was the first time Monica saw Nicholas' face directly, she was stunned by his look.

"Lauren, what brought you here, did something happen?" ask Nicholas to Monica surprised a little

"It's nothing, I just wanted to come!" said Monica smile awkwardly walking inside the house with Nicholas

"This is the tea you like, isn't it, I always buy it, and I actually like it too!" said Nicholas handing her a cup of tea, then sitting in a chair in front of her

Monica then realized that Lauren only saw Nicholas as a friend to confide in, and that Lauren only came to him when she needed something.

"So what made you suddenly want to come here, You must want to find out something?" ask Nicholas to Monica

"No, I just want to talk about some past, like when we first met and got to know each other until now, you know just spending time!" said Monica to Nicholas

"This isn't like you usually is!" said Nicholas a little bit confused

"By the way, are you and Juliet still close, I haven't heard from you again about her!" ask Monica to Nicholas suddenly

Monica remembered Nicholas' journal which never mentioned anything about Juliet's kindness, it was all just big suspicions, and evil, but it was not explained why they were no longer friends.

"You always ask about this, I already told you a lot of times that she is a suspicious person!" said Nicholas with a calm voice looking at Monica

"But you never told me why!" reply Monica to Nicholas looking at him back

"Why did you suddenly ask this?" ask Nicholas to Monica confused

"Because you often listen to me, now it's my turn to listen to you!" said Monica to Nicholas

"Did you get told by her to report what I will tell you later, you are always oh her side!" said Nicholas to Monica looking a little mad

"I didn't, I canceled my plans with her today just to come talk to you!" said Monica to Nicholas

"So you really have a purpose, then just tell me what you want to know!" said Nicholas disappointed to Monica

"That's not what I meant!" said Monica to Nicholas

"So why did you come here and bring your diary?" ask Nicholas to Monica looking at her diary book

"It's because I remembered the past so I wanted to spend time reminiscing!" said Monica to Nicholas with an awkward smile

On the other hand, Juliet heads to a place and got herself a custom amulet.

"This is the amulet, Miss Lie!" said a worker handing it properly to Juliet

After taking the amulet, she went to a place that looked quite far away, like a dark place filled with black magic, she walks there while carrying the amulet.

"I want this amulet to be enchanted in the name of Marie Zhang, and charm Ryan Tang!" said Juliet throwing the amulet to an old shaman lady

"Do you really want to do something this cruel, Miss Lie?" ask the shaman lady

"Of course this is all for my own sake!" said Juliet walks towards the old shaman lady

"My golden days are coming soon!" said Juliet then stepped on the amulet with a laughter looking straight to it

"Give them what you got from them!" said the old shaman lady to Juliet

"A strand of hair from Marie Zhang, and Ryan Tang's toothbrush that I managed to steal from Lauren!" said Juliet handing the things

"Okay, what do you want to do with this amulet?" ask the old shaman lady

"Make this a pellet tool to attract Ryan's attention to Marie!" said Juliet with a wicked smile

After that Juliet sat there while watching the old shaman lady read the spell with a happy wicked smile in her heart.

"Lauren just look at what I'm going to treat you to, your is the best!" muttered Juliet stared at the enchanted amulet

...Nicholas's House...

"You've been talking about Ryan all along, like I really like him, he helped me yesterday, I think I will talk to him, I want to fall again, so he can help me!" said Nicholas to Monica

"Do I really say that often?" said Monica with an awkward smile

She began to realize that Nicholas seemed to have feelings for Lauren, so he paid so much attention to her, it was no wonder that he knew where Lauren's diary was when she died. But at the same time it also hurts so much that his love for Lauren will never be replied.

"In the past, our relationship with Juliet was very good, but for some reason in this book I wrote that the two of you no longer spoke later on!" said Monica looks from her diary

"Juliet and I were never that close from the start, she always put people down, I don't like it when she puts people down!" said Nicholas to Monica

"She always laughs and spreads untrue gossip about people, but when I tell you, you never believe me!" said Nicholas looking straight to Monica eyes

The look felt like a huge disappointment and sense of betrayal. Monica feels that Lauren seems like someone who is easy to use both as bait and as a tool despite from her independent look.
