Chapter 3 - 'Drink Me'

LANCELOT’S POINT OF VIEW

Why do I feel so chilly? I’m just inside my room and the last time I checked, I got a massive head ache and I didn’t know why I suddenly feel spikes in my head. I got unconscious and my mom was hardly knocking the door while calling my name. She’s worried at me but now, I couldn’t feel worriedness.

I groaned in pain as I tucked my hair.

My mom’s voice wasn’t lingering on my ears anymore. My eyes began to give a response as I requested myself to wake up. My eyesight gone pretty good today as I saw the night sky and clouds above me forming abstract shapes.

ASMR? The sound of nature made myself calm but, it bothers me the most. Why am I here?

I lied down in this filthy ground and I’m nowhere to be found. I’m in the forest as I glanced every corner of tall trees. Not to mention, I think I’m in the MIDDLE of this damn forest.

I patted my school uniform to get rid of the dust. As I stood up, a flash of light came from a far slowly approaching me.

Why do I feel so real?

I know it is just a dream but, why do I feel anxious? Well yeah, we do have that feeling. Sometimes in our dreams we run in slow motion and if we have a fight with someone, our punches are quietly slow.

I once have a dream that I punched my friend, Red but it didn’t reach straight to his face. I felt like I had an underwater fight with him.

Okay, nevermind about that.

You see, I’m in a great danger that I need help to get out of this forest. I know it’s just a dream but I don’t care. I finally saw two shadows that I started to scream.

“Help! Please help me!” I kept on screaming until the shadows were getting larger. The more steps as they approached, the more I get confuse.

They are no human. Why do they look like walking plywood or is it just me fantasizing?

They are holding weapons in their hands and a guy in front of them holding a torch.

“Help! Help…. Me?” My voice squeaked as I saw a bunch of red cards. Is that a heart jack card? Wow it looks pretty awesome!

Their faces were turning grimace. The heart jack card rose up the torch and yelled his guards.

“TRESPASSER!!! SEIZE HIM!!!”

They scattered as they ran, pointing their weapons at me. I stuttered as I feel my shaking limbs, ready to go for a run. Short breathing but still, I managed to dodge the sharp arrows. They kept throwing me but luckily I survived.

I’m a trespasser, said by that red jack card but I don’t know why am I an intruder here. This is a forest for people and it’s free for us to sightsee.

Wait… Silly me, it’s just a dream! What was I thinking?

I hurriedly hid myself on the tree to catch my breath. I’m panting really hard after running like a cheetah. It took half of my energy. The cards were still chasing me and even though I’m in this situation, I still have a small brain cell for me to think for a plan.

I picked a stone and threw at my side and quickly the cards responded and turned on the different direction.

I deeply exhaled as I leaned the back of my head on the tree. I lost my power that my butt quickly landed on the ground. I panted heavily and I need water to survive. Sweats kept dripping down as I raised up and saw the sky again but, without stars.

It was dark and yet it started to rain any minute. Do I have to wait for the rain to pour just to have a drink? My throat was rough and itchy and I feel so sleepy. I lowered my head to take some rest but before shut my eyes, it caught my attention.

A bottle of water and it looks clean. I grabbed it and started to examine. I opened the bottle and smell it. It’s just a pure water and it seems not poisonous. I quickly drank it and savor the unsavory flavor of water.

It reached my throat and at last, my body is ready to go. Once I took a glance at the bottle again, something was written. It carved in the bottle that and it tells the phrase and made me shocked as my body began to react and stomach growled in pain.

‘Drink me’

(A/N: Do you remember the part when Alice Liddell just drink a potion making her huge and cannot get outside the door? LMAO, just sharing😂😂 I just used that scenario with some flips, flops and twisted stuff.)
