Episode 4

ANGEL WALTON

It's complete madness the press continues with their story that I just became a father, at this moment is when I am grateful that my parents have gone on a trip with my grandfather and are not in the country reading all this madness, it's been two days since I helped that girl, I always visit the girl, How could I not if she is beautiful, the mother I visited only once, but I could notice that the baby is identical to her, her hair, the shape of her face, her skin are two drops of water, today I came to see the princess that has stolen my heart, she still has no name, her mother has not woken up and we do not know what name she had chosen for her.

"I'm glad you're here," Paola commented as soon as she saw me.

"Because something happened," I asked nervously***.

"Yes, the child needs body warmth, contact with someone and since her mother is not awake yet, I thought you wouldn't mind being a daddy kangaroo for the little one," said paola.

"What does that mean, daddy kangaroo, what does that mean?"

"come follow me and take off that shirt," paola.

I followed my crazy friend and took off my shirt, she with the help of a nurse took the baby out of the incubator and I sat in a rocking chair that was placed next to the incubator and laid the baby on my chest, it felt so good to have her like this she is so tiny and fragile.

"keep her warm," *paola placed a blanket around the baby and let her fall asleep on my chest* *paola placed a blanket around the baby and let her fall asleep on my chest*.

"you are the most beautiful thing I have ever had the pleasure of seeing," I caressed her cheeks and she slept peacefully on my chest.

"God, what I would give to be her father, I spoke aloud while still mesmerized by the beautiful woman sleeping peacefully on my chest***."

My phone rang and I answered without seeing my phone screen and to my bad luck it is a video call from my mother.

"So it's true, I am a grandmother," said my mother and turned to look at the screen.

"mom I can explain to you," try to talk but you can't talk to my mother.

"there is nothing to explain, we leave tonight, I already want to carry her, give her a kiss from me," my mother hung up***.

"God, what have I gotten myself into?" *I spoke* *looking at the princess*.

"I believe that god heard your prayers and sent you a daughter, commented paola who returned."

"you know she is not mine, maybe when her mother wakes up she will call her father and he will come to claim her," commented while the nurse helps me to place the princess back in the incubator.

"It's been two days and no one has looked for them, their family doesn't want them and if their father doesn't want them either, they will probably end up back on the street, would you really be able to let them go, would you?"

"Even if I wanted to adopt the child, I don't think her mother would allow it" responded.

"And if you don't adopt her, the child is not registered, she can appear as your daughter without the need of adoption proceedings, you only have to convince the mother, paola."

"She's not going to give it to me just like that," I replied.

"no, but they could be a family if they get married," proposes paola***.

"what are you saying, she is a child, I am fourteen years older than her," I answered

"you would be neither the first nor the last to marry someone younger than you, plus you could fulfill the dream of your life to be a father," paola.

"the mother is not going to accept," exprese.

"talk to her, she is awake, in fact I will check the girl and then I will take her to her mother, talk to her, listen to her story and talk about the possibility of getting married and being the baby's parents, let her decide, I know you are dying to see this baby grow up, take a chance, you have a lot to gain and nothing to lose," Paola advises.

"If anything goes wrong, I will blame you," I said, leaving the incubator area, I arranged my shirt and reached the mother's room, knocked and allowed me to pass.

"Hello Sol, do you know who I am," I asked.

"the man who helped me when I needed him the most,-she replies somewhat weakly."

"Do you want me to call someone, maybe the girl's father, maybe the girl's father, indague un poco."

"No, there is no one to call," she said with tears in her beautiful black eyes.

"And where do you live?" I wanted to know more.

"I have nowhere to go," she replied and that caused me pain.

"It's alright, you know, your daughter stole my heart," I commented.

"The nurses tell me she is beautiful," she said, now crying alone.

"That's right," I responded.

"I don't know what I'm going to do, I have nowhere to go and no money to pay for this place. What future can I give my daughter?" Sol cried.

I approached her and hugged her. She cried on my chest and it broke my heart to see her cry so inconsolably.

"Sol, I have a proposal that will benefit both of us," I spoke and she wiped her tears to look at me intently.

"What proposal?" she asked.

"Marry me," I proposed and she looked at me in surprise.

"Why?" she asked.

"My biggest dream has always been to be a father, but for different reasons, I haven't been able to accomplish it. Besides, the press saw me arriving with you, and I am a very important person. Everyone already thinks I have a daughter. I just want to make it official," I explained.

"But why my daughter?" she looked confused.

"I already told you, that princess stole my heart. If we get married, I can register her as mine without the need for adoption procedures. I promise I won't cross any boundaries with you, and you can continue studying. I will support you in that. This way, I can fulfill my dream of being a father, and you can fulfill yours. But most importantly, the princess will have a father who loves her just as her mother does," I explained.

"Promise me that if at any moment I want a divorce, you will let me go with my daughter. Of course, as her father, you can always see her," she pleaded.

"Yes, after a while, if you want, we can get a divorce. But that beautiful girl will always be my daughter and I will be her father," I replied.

"So, if I accept marrying you and having you as the father of my daughter," Sol responded.

"Thank you, you'll see that you won't regret it," I said, taking her hand.

"What's your name? I just agreed to marry you and I don't know your name," Sol said.

"I'm Angel Walton," I offered my hand and she took it.

"Sol Ortega," she introduced herself as well.

"Excuse me, a princess is coming to meet her mother," the nurse entered with Paola and the princess in the incubator.

They arranged her next to Sol's bed and carefully took out the baby to put her in her mother's arms. Sol shed some tears as she looked at her.

"Hello, my little girl," Sol greeted and left a kiss on the baby's head.

"Well, do you have a name for the baby?" Paola asked, who had the baby's papers to fill out. Sol looked at me and smiled.

"Her name will be Angela," Sol said, and I felt my heart beat strongly.

"And what will her last names be?" Paola asked, and I waited for Sol to respond.

"Her name is Angela Walton Ortega," Sol confidently replied. I couldn't help but hug both her and our daughter because it's true, I have a daughter and she is beautiful.

"I love that name. The nurse will help you breastfeed while the happy father and I talk," Paola said, and we left the room.

"I don't know how you're going to convince her, but I want to be Angela's godmother, or I'm capable of killing you," Paola told me.

"I will talk to her," I replied.

"Both of you will be good parents. Angela is very lucky," Paola commented before leaving.

I called my lawyer to prepare the wedding. We have to sign the papers before my parents arrive, and I went to register Angela as mine and Sol's. No one will ever separate me from my princess Angela. Whether it was destiny or coincidence, she is my daughter and I will protect her with my life.
