2 - The dream

As soon as Olivia sit down, she took out a lovely book with flowers all over the cover and started writing something.

"What are you doing?" asked Lily "Don't tell me you are studying again... Please, it's the last day of school."

"I forgot to sign Emily's autograph" said Olivia as a-matter-of-factly.

"Yah, that's what I thought..." Lily said sarcastically but she seemed distracted.

"Hey, Via... Aa... Can I tell you something? Co... Could you just...just listen... I know it is nonsense, I mean... It.. It was just a dream.." said Lily while making sure no one heard her.

"Tell me about it."

"OK...Don't get mad..." she hesitanted, she looked worried and Olivia had never seen her like that before. It was like she was terrified of something and running away. Olivia was concerned but she didn't show it.

"Tell me... Are you going to make me wait until I grow old...?" She tired to act cheerfully but failed, she had a bad feeling about what Lily's was going to tell.

"You know, today our parents are going to Colombo, right?" asked Lily still uncertain whether or not to tell this.

"Yes" said Olivia calmly.

"In my dream... In the middle of the highway an oil bourse came right at them. It crashes to our parents car and exported leaving nothing. While that happened... I just stud there without even an expression... Then there was this man, in a black suit beside me, he said something but I was just watching... I mean... I could have...."

"You could have what?... Saved them?" asked Olivia looking straight in to Lily's eyes.

"well..." Lily's eyes were filled with tears. She was always very sensitive to these kind of things. Whenever the news reports about an accident or a tragic situation she would always end up crying, out of sadness for the victims. She was so innocent. So Olivia knew that dreaming about her parents death was really painful for her.

"Don't be ridiculous," said Olivia

"it's just a stupid dream. They are just illustration form our fears...And nightmares don't come ture. You know that." Olivia tried to laugh but couldn't, because she was pale as a white sheet of paper herself.

No! It has to be a coincidence.

"But it felt so real" murmured Lily as tears ran down her soft cheeks.

"Lily listen, you said in your dream our parents were in the same car. But in reality, they went separately, right? So nothing going to happen." said Olivia.

Right, nothing's going to happen.

Olivia took a deep breath to calm herself. She was shocked because she had been having a similar dream for almost a week now. Because it was disturbing she didn't tell about it to anyone.

So how come Lily dreamt the same thing...?

Lily whipped her tears and slapped both of her cheeks, like telling herself to get a grip.

"You are right, what am l thinking. _ OH! We are already here... Have fun at the last day with your friends."

Lily smiled and got off the bus saying 'bye' to the old bus driver. Then she fled to the school.

After Lily, Olivia also went to the school ignoring all the bad feelings she had about the dreams.
