I followed behind him. What does his parents need to talk about? We literally just met yesterday.
We arrived at his girlfriend's place, I watched him get out of the car and they both kiss.
Really? Right in front of me? I hope he knows his lips were not the only ones that touched hers today.
They both get into the car, I followed again. His parents house wasn't that far, it was about half an hour away.
We pulled up on the driveway and parked. They both got out of the car, I followed. They held hands as they walked inside. Liam knocked; his father opened.
"Hello Liam." He paused and looked at Rachel, "and you? What are you doing here? We only invited them not you."
"Well you should know; your son loves me not her. You should be glad that I'm ok with them getting married. You're lucky I didn't leave your son when I found out, If I left, he would be on the edge of insanity." She scoffs at him.
"Very well, we'll see about that." he turns to me, "Miss Dalton, welcome to our home. Please come inside."
I walk in between them and say, "Thank you, Mr. Creed." I head inside first.
"Olivia! I'm so glad you could make it!" His mother says running towards me, with her arms open for a hug. I hug her.
"It's my pleasure, Mrs. Creed."
"Follow me! I already have plans for the wedding!" She pulls me with her. "The wedding is going to happen in two weeks! I'm so excited for you both!" We walk outside. "This is going to be a private wedding, close friends and family only." I nod my head.
"Yeah, that sounds fine. I never wanted a huge wedding."
"That's great. Here picks a theme you would like."
Rose gold. My dream wedding theme.
"I would love a rose gold theme..."
"Yes! I love rose gold as well." She looks at me, "You are just perfect for my son. I already know it."
I smile, "and he is just perfect for me."
Rachel and Liam appear besides us.
"Hello, mother." he says.
"Hi Liam. We just chose a theme for the wedding. It's rose gold."
"That's fine."
"Perfect. I'll hire a wedding designer in no time to make your wedding dream come true! Now all we have left is the dress."
If only she knew that we aren't going to last 24 hours after our wedding.
"Was that all that you need to discuss with me?" I question.
"Yes, darling. We would love if you stayed for dinner."
No, I did not want to see Rachel and Liam anymore. It's already been crazy enough for me this past 24 hours.
"I would love to but I do really need to get some stuff done at home."
"Of course, I won't make you stay."
"Well, it was nice meeting you again Mrs. Creed. I'll be on my way now."
"It was nice seeing you as well, Olivia."
I glanced at Rachel and Liam before I started walking to the front yard.
Rachel, a cheater. What is she trying to do? Ruin Liam's career?
I unlocked my car; someone grabbed my arm. I turned around.
What does he think he's doing? Grabbing me?
"What do you need?" I try to pull away.
"Are you jealous? Is that you're leaving as soon as you can?" He leans in closer.
"No... I really need to get some stuff done. Now let me go."
His touch was giving me goosebumps.
He remove his hand from my arm, I got into my car and pulled out of the driveway.
I watched as he stood on the driveway, watching me drive away.
Just two more weeks, I'll be free from him. This whole marriage, I can go back to living my normal life.
I arrived at my apartment, Carla was already home. I walk up the stairs. I opened the door.
"Hey! I'm back." I say as I closed the door.
"Hey!" she pokes her head from the dining table. I took off my shoes and hang my keys up. I walk over to the sink and wash my hands.
"I made spaghetti and meatball for dinner. Come join me." She says with her mouth full.
"Of course, I only rushed home to come join you." I laugh from the kitchen.
I grab a plate from the cabinet and a fork from the drawer. I scoop some spaghetti and meatball into the plate. I was so hungry. I walk over to Carla.
"Ugh, what a rough day. I think we should not open tomorrow since it's Friday. We could go shopping." I say as I stuff my mouth.
"YES! I 100% agree with you!" She shouts with a mouthful of spaghetti. "What did his parents need to talk about?"
"Oh, our wedding theme."
"Oooh, what's the theme?"
"I chose rose gold, and I want you to be part of my wedding day. Even if my marriage is going to last for a day."
"Yes, yes. I would love to. Anything for my best friend."
"Thank you so much."
"That's what friends are for, am I right?"
We both laugh.
