Before I knew it, Carla was back.

"Who was that woman and guy that just stormed passed me?"

"Oh, that's Liam's girlfriend..." I say as I turn around to check the time. "2:25"

"Really?"

"Yup. She came by telling me she knew me and Liam were engaged and told me that the guy she was with was her true love and she was just using Liam."

Carla gasped, her eyes go wide. "NO FUCKING WAY."

"What-? What did I say?" I turned red; my cheeks felt like they were on fire.

"You sneaky bitch! You just told me you're engaged with Liam!!" She shouts, jumping all over me.

Shit. Did I just blurt that out?

"Yes. I had to leave yesterday because my parents arranged a marriage with him. I didn't know what was happening until I saw him. I don't know what got into him, but he's agreeing to marry me." I say, fidgeting with my hands. "I think we're both just getting married to make our parents happy. After all they are close friends."

"Oh my god. I just can't believe it. You see him almost everyday and now you're going to marry him?!"

"I guess-" the door chimes. A young woman walks in.

"Hello! How can I help you?" I say, nodding my head for Carla to go.

"Ah yes, I have a pick-up order that I placed and paid online. It's under Laura, the big birthday party."

"Perfect timing! The cakes are all ready for you! I'll be right back!" I walk to the back, and grab the cakes.

"Here you are! Oh, and your receipt." I hand her the receipt.

"Thank you! I appreciate it very much!" She smiled as she walks out.

Carla comes back to me asking me for more information of what happened last night.

"You need to tell me all the details! Like now!"

"Fine. Promise you'll be quiet about it."

"Yes, I will. After all I am your best friend!"

"Well, not only did he agree to marry me but he wants to fool our parents. He said he doesn't have any feelings towards me and that he will never love a woman like me. He's going to divorce me whenever he has the chance." I sigh. "He's just doing this to make his parents happy and his disapproves his relationship with his girlfriend. It's obvious why."

"I see. Love can be a roller coaster but at the end of the ride it was so worth it. He will see your worth especially if you already love him." She winks at me and walks to the back.

I laugh to myself; this girl has never been in a relationship and is giving me relationship advices?

The day carried on until 5:00. It was time to close up. I turned off the open sign and start wiping down the tables at the front.

Carla was in the back finishing up the dishes. There was music playing as we cleaned. I closed the window blinds. I can't wait to go home and relax.

The door chimes, "Sorry we're closed now." I say as I turn around. He was walking towards me. What was he doing here? Nope. Now is not the time for him to come see me after what he said to me last night.

"What do you need?" I scoff throwing the towel on the table.

There was a pause between us.

"You have to go with me. My parents want to talk to you." He finally says.

"I'm not going with you; I don't trust you. If your parents wanted to talk to me, why didn't my parents tell me?"

"They did." He raised his eyebrows. "Check your phone."

What. They can't be serious. I go grab my phone and check. Missed calls and texts.

"Told you." He mutters.

"Ugh! I'm driving my own car."

"That's fine with me. My girlfriend is coming along too."

Girlfriend. That little girlfriend of his is a gold digger.

"Uh what?"

"Yes. I want you two to bond while we're planning for our wedding that won't even last a day."

"Oh really?" I was about to continue but then I thought not to.

"Yes because I plan on marrying her for the rest of my life, not you."

Oh Mr. Creed you're going to regret that decision.

"That's perfectly fine with me. After all we're just doing this to make our parents happy, right?"

"Yes and if you are ready, let's go. I can't wait all day." He rolled his eyes.

"Nope. You're the one who came here, I still have to clean. I'm not leaving just yet."

"Hurry up, I don't have all day." He says just before Carla walks out.

"Damn I can't believe you're going to be marrying this fine *** man."

I turn red, he knows he's hot.

"I can't believe it either." I say sarcastically.

"Look you two, I have to get going." He points to me, "you need to go now. I can't stay here waiting for you all night."

"Carla, sorry I'm going to go. Uh his parents want to see me."

"You go girl!" She waves me off.

I grab my purse and walk out with him.

"Why are you agreeing to this marriage?" I question as we walk.

"Because you're my only choice, as of right now."

"As of right now? What are you going to do? Get married to me and divorce me right after. Run away with your girlfriend and disappear for the rest of your life?"

"You said it." He gets inside his car. "Follow me."

I go into my car and follow him.
