I Won’t Give You My Child!
There’s a ringing in my ears and a dry cotton feeling in my mouth. My body also feels strange in a way I never experienced before. My eyelids respond slowly in my request for them to open and my arm is unusually heavy as I attemp to lift it to my aching head.
I bend at the waist and push myself into a sitting position, all the while trying not to vomit as the room spins from sever vertigo.
Finally, my eyes focus enough to make out a dimly lit well adored room. One that is not my own.
“What the h*ll!”
I’m usually not prone to swearing but sometimes the occasion calls for it, and waking up in a strange room when you clearly remember going to sleep in your own room, would definitely call for it.
As if someone had been watching and waiting for me to wake up, the only door in the room swings open with force. In walks two identical men in expensive looking, tailored suits.
One reaches over and flicks a switch causing the room to be bathed in light. The migraine I’m having flares and my eyes feel like they will pop right out of my head with each painful pulse.
“You’ll be fine in about an hour, when the drugs fully leave your system. Drink this, it will help.” A glass of water appears in front of me being held by a large masculine hand.
I take it and set it on the near by night stand not bothering to drink it or respond. I’m not stupid. I’m drugged, obviously kidnapped, and in the presence of two alpha males who look like money isn’t an object and never hear the word no, judging by the way they stand and their attire. I won’t be casually drinking anything handed to me right now, thank you very much.
“Stubborn.” The one who handed me the glass says.
Looking at the two, I have to admit, they are extremely good looking. Very Greek features with olive complexions, black wavy hair and blue eyes. They’re also completely identical. If they weren’t moving independently of each other, I would think I was having double vision.
I continue sitting and staring at the two. Not making any move to say anything or show any signs of distress. After about ten minutes, they begin to clear their throats and fidget, clearly showing signs of being uncomfortable. Exactly what I want. It’s a common practice used in interrogations. Long silences in high stress situations makes people want to talk to make the situation less tense.
“Let me start off by saying that you are under our control and will be complying with everything we say.” The one on the right starts talking
“My brother and I have a project that you will be helping us with. In exchange we will be giving you a large sum of money and then we will never see each other again, and even though you will be compensated don’t mistake this as an offer, you don’t have a choice.” He finishes talking and then looks at me expectantly. I continue to sit there and stare.
“Is she still too drugged up for this conversation?” The one on the right turns and asks his brother.
“She should be groggy but otherwise fine.” He replies.
“Then why is she just sitting there staring at us?” He says while looking angry.
“Little girl, you will be staying with us for the forcible future. The world thinks you have quite your job for a bigger and better opportunity out of the country. You have no family that you know of and no close friends. No one will be looking for you. While your here you will obey our every command and that of our staff. You only will be released after you are done with your task.” He finishes and waits for me to response. Of course I continue saying nothing, causing a frustrated groan, from them both.
The one who spoke first grabs my arms and gives me a little shake.
“Do you understand us?” He says, with a painful squeeze. I wince and think about my response. I want to get mad. I want to tell him to get his hands off me but that would give away the little power I have right now.
“Explain.” Is the only thing I say back while maintaining my calm composure.
“You are here to give us an heir.” He says while letting go of me. I notice a smirk on his dumb face as he pulls away.
“The h*ll I am.” I shout, losing all my cool. And that’s the second time the situation called for swearing in the small amount of time I’ve been here.
The two twin Devils grin evilly.
