Chapter Five

I was now officially drunk. I was aware

of everything still but I just couldn't walk

properly and I spoke my mind whether or not

I want to sometimes. I was now out of Rum

and Hennessy. "Need more." I sighed and got

off my bed. The whole room was spinning.

I stood trying to find my balance. Well this

is going to take a hile. I walked to my door

and opened it. I stumbled while walking

downstairs.

The lobby was still empty. I walked over to

the bar and sat on the stool. Wait. Let me

Rephrase that. I stumbled on my way to the

bar and tried to get on the stool. It was like

trying to get to the top of a mountain.

After I got on, I reached behind the counter

from my seat and randomly pulled out a

bottle of strawberry vodka. I shrugged and

opened the bottle. I took a huge gulp and felt

the sting going through my lungs. I took some

more and the stinging stopped. Man I'm a

mess. I put my head on the counter and let mny

hair fall on my face.

Man I miss my parents. If they were here I

would know what to do in situations like this.

"Tell me you are not drunk." I heard James

voice behind me.

I looked up slowly and turned to look at him

on my stool. He had wet droplets on his shirt

and his hair looked a little wet. I'm gonna take

a wise guess and say it's raining outside or at

least going to.

"I am not drunk." I spoke up.

He raised his an eyebrow. "Really?" He

questioned.

I nodded slowly. "Really."

He walked up to me folded his arms in front

his chest. "Get up and walk."

"F*ck you." I mumbled causing him to

chuckled.

"Want to tell me what happened?" He asked.

I shook my head. I don't want to tell

him anything. He'll just be worried and

overprotective.

"Skylar. You know your drunk self can't really

hold things in so I'm giving you one more

chance. You either tell me or I'll get it out of

you."

I don't want him to know anything. I stood up

and started to walk into the hall. "We're going

on a trip in our favorite rocket ship." I sang

waving my hands in the air from side to side.

"Not so fast." He said grabbing my arm.

"You're no fun." I frowned.

He rolled his eyes. Do we roll our eyes so

much?! He was about to say something but his

phone rang.

I took the chance to get out of his grip and

stumbled into the kitchen. Some of the guys

were in here along with Lucifer. They were

eating pizza.

"Drunk are we?" Carter questioned with a

smirk.

I rolled my eyes. "Shut up." I said grabbing a

pizza.

"Skylar!" James yelled behind me.

BOOM!

"F*ck you, Thunder. You can suck my di*k." I

sang and flipped the bird sign then shoved the

slice of pizza in my mouth.

He groaned in annoyance. "Why are you

drunk? Something happened. If it was Godric

then you wouldn't be this drunk. What

happened?" He asked.

I bit my tongue so I couldn't talk.

"I kind of told her that her parents must be

proud of her by mistake. In my defense, I

didn't know they died." Lucifer spoke up with

his hands up.

I shook my head. "Yeah that it." I spoke up

trying to end the subject.

James tensed up at Lucifer. "That's not all. If

he knew your parents died then something

happened." He said looking at me. He then

looked at Lucifer. "What else happened?"

I turned to look at the guys in need for help.

They knew about my personal problems even

with the stepparent. "Tm not getting my ***

kicked in Combat training my James again."

Gabe stated.

I rolled my eyes. "You woosie."

"Yeah. Some lady and guy was talking to her

on the phone. They said sorme pretty harsh

things to her and said they'll find her." Lucifer

spoke up.

God if you're watching this take place, please let

the doorbell ring or something. I'll be good. Il

go to church and everything. I would even not

kill Ethan when he comes back.

"Take me to church..I'l worship like a dog at

the shrine of your lies.." I burst out singing.

"I'll tell you my sins and you can sharpen your

knife.."

"Harsh as in what?" James asked looking at

me then at Lucifer.

"Please don't." I begged Lucifer.

He let out a sigh. "They said she was 'whoring

around' and that she probably had STD. They

also said her parents are probably glad they

died."

"Your step parents called and said that!"

James yelled causing me to flinch. When

James is mad, it looked like the Hulk

emerging.

"Those are your step parents." Lucifer asked

baffled at this new information. I swear,

for someone who is the Devil, he is on the

maximum level of stupidity.

James walked up to me and hugged me.

"Sorry.I didn't mean to make you flinch."

I wrapped my arms around his waist and

sighed. "It's okay. We all know you're secretly

the Hulk."

"Amen to that." Mason spoke hold up a pizza

causing all of us to laugh.

After a moment of silence James and me

released from the hug. He cupped my cheek.

"I promise not to let them lay a hand on you

ever again." He said then kissed my forehead.
