It was already 1pm when the officer head out of the main branch office. She thought to check on poorvi and head towards her house.

When poorvi opened the door she was shocked to see officer who helped her yesterday. Poorvi got dark circles around her swollen eyes like she had cried all night and didn't even sleep a bit. She welcomed the officer inside and ask for anything she would like to drink.

Officer sat on her sofa and said with a smile "a glass of water please." As poorvi went to fetch water, the officer looked around the living room. She noticed trophies, medals and certificates on the wall. She got up and went to look. At the same time, poorvi came with a glass of water. The officer lift the glass on the tray poorvi was holding and said "thanks."

"Well I should be the one thanking you for yesterday, mam." Poorvi said with a faint smile on her face.

"My name's mehek, you can call me that." She said after finishing the glass. And then continued "are these yours ?"

"Yes, when I was a teenager I liked martial arts. And these are from boxing in college."

"Pretty impressive, no wonder you were so brave yesterday."

Poorvi just smiled because she was out of words for that. Mehek sighed as continued "it's okay, everything is alright. I promise to get justice for you." Poorvi gave her a smile and nodded.

"By the way, do you live alone ?" Mehek asked.

"Ah..my parents went to visit my grandparents, so I'm alone right now."

"Oh..I see. So, I should go now. Take care and have rest."

"Yes...thank you for your visit."

"It's my pleasure." Mehek said and left.

3 days later, with all the evidence related to poorvi's care was represented in the court. The judgement was obvious, Poorvi was proven victim and due to her bravery, she was awarded. It was in the headlines of every news paper, but as per her wish, her identity was kept secret. Poorvi was ready to continue with her job. Just that she had never expected that she would be expelled. As the police told her company about the matter, they all blamed poorvi for it. The reputation of the company tarnished because of her.

The president of her company called poorvi to his office and told her to resign by the end of the day. This hit her hard but what can she really do ?? She said nothing just nodded her head with her head down. The president sighed and asked her to leave his office and hand the resignation letter as soon as possible.

A while later, she handed her resignation letter and left the office. On her way back she met officer mehek again. Just by looking at poorvi's face, she could guess what might've happened. Although she's the victim but the society won't treat her fairly just because she was a girl. She has to suffer from something so horrible, but still people will try to avoid her because of their shitty thinking.
