Episode 1: The Entrance Exams

There was a mansion that rested at the top of the hill with gorgeous purple and red blossoms on the front garden. A tall man wearing a black and red outfit with lava flowing in his arms and legs.  "Haru Takahashi, A.K.A Magmar the Lava Hero and his quirk is Molten State. Magmar can create lava from his hands and feet, his quirk allows him to change the state of matter the lava is in. That means the lava can go from liquid form, to hardened form, or into a gas form." Present Mic was explaining Magmar's quirk just like he always does. When Magmar got outside he was collecting the paper and the mailman waved. "Good morning Magmar," The mailman was delighted to see Magmar the lava hero. Magmar waved and smiled happily seeing the mailman. Magmar turned around heading up the driveway to head back inside to see his wife Steeless the steel hero. They both sat in the huge dining room that had 12 seats. Magmar looked at the clock and steam came out of his nostrils as he got up in a more serious expression. Steeless put her cup of tea down seeing her husband get up out of nowhere in a mood.

"Dear are you okay?" Steeless asked concerned,

"Y/N should be up by now I'll go wake him," Magmar advised.

Steeless watched as her husband was heading up the stairs to the third floor and when Magmar got to the top he opened the door on his left and he saw his son sleeping peacefully in his bed. Magmar looked around seeing U.A posters and some pictures of other Pro Heroes. Magmar put his hand on a poster of himself and his wife then he walked into the washroom to grab something. Y/N suddenly jumped out of bed in fear and he shivered seeing he was covered in water and he looked up slowly seeing his father. Magmar looked down at him and dropped the bucket he grabbed from the washroom as Y/N was covered in freezing water and his bed was wet. Magmar gave a strict look and Y/N bowed, "You woke up late." Y/N still shivered from the water and he nodded, "Sorry Father, it won't happen again." Magmar walked to the door, "Hurry up and take a shower and look nice before coming down. Your mother and I have been waiting, it's 6:15 you need to get ready, today is the entrance exams." Magmar left the room closing the door on the way out and Y/N got up and was headed for his washroom to take a shower.

Outside his room, Magmar stood beside a robot in a tuxedo, "Suitor change his bed when he comes down." Suitor bowed, "Yes Master," Suitor walked away to the supply closet and Magmar was walking back downstairs and before he reached his wife he had a smile. Steeless looked at the entrance of the room seeing her husband walk in, "Silly Y/N slept in, but I woke him up and he'll join us soon." Magmar joined his wife as they both had their coffee and tea with their breakfast while they waited for Y/N. After some time Y/N left his room and Suitor walked in to clean and Y/N put his hand on the railing and went down heading for the huge dining room. Y/N sat down and he looked down at his breakfast and his mom smiled as a spoon was created from her arm and Y/N grabbed it.

"Jin Takahashi, A.K.A Steeless the Steel Hero and her quirk is Metallic creation. Steeless can create any object made of steel as long as she can visualize what it looks like. She has a limit of how much steel she can produce in one sitting. Depending on how much Iron she has in her body determines how large and strong her creations are. The harder she thinks the more durable the item will be" Present Mic explained. "Thanks, Mom," Y/N thanked sluggishly but he looked at his father and Magmar gave him another strict look and he quickly fixed his posture and started to eat. Magmar was looking at the paper, "Will you look at that dear, All Might stopped another villain yesterday. Apparently, two kids were involved, one of them got grabbed by a slime villain while the other kid ran in to help," Steeless looked at Magmar, "That's brave of them, I'm glad they aren't hurt. Good thing All Might is around, he is the number one hero after all." Magmar put the paper down and looked at Y/N, "You better pass Y/N, If you want to become a hero like us you need to do well and get into U.A. I have spent you're whole childhood training you for this so don't fail. U.A is the most prestigious Highschool and If you want to be a successful hero you must go there."

"Yes Father,"

"Dear stop stressing him out, he'll do great" Steeless advised putting her hand on her son's cheek and he smiled. Magmar got up, "Let's go Y/N, I'll bring you to the school and then I can head over to my agency." Y/N finished eating and kissed his mom goodbye as they both left the mansion. Magmar and Y/N got to the front door seeing Griffin walk up to them, "Griffin we'll be heading out now." Griffin smiled as the door opened and two versions of Griffin opened the door.

"Koji Rashi, A.K.A Griffin the Bodyguard Hero and his quirk is Self-image. Griffin can create stone versions of himself but he can only make up to 3 clones at once. His clones look exactly him and he can control them at will, making him four times stronger," Present Mic explained. Y/N looked in the driveway seeing Griffin had the door opened for the limo and Y/N sighed, "Can we just walk to school?" Magmar looked at his son in disappointment, "Y/N, we have a limo for a reason, we're not going to walk,"

"U.A is a 10-minute walk," Y/N scoffed,

"Watch your attitude with me, I created you. You will follow my orders understood." Magmar entered the limo and when Y/N got inside. Griffin closed the door and he walked to the front of the limo to sit beside the driver. Y/N leaned against the window looking outside and Magmar sighed as he looked at the driver. "Let's go Vertigo," Vertigo nodded and he started driving the limo outside of the Mansion's gates as they were on the way to U.A. Y/N's attention was caught by the beach and his eyes lit up in astonishment. Magmar looked and noticed as well, "So the rumours are true, I heard someone cleaned this beach of all garbage."

Y/N P.O.V

I wonder what kind of quirks I'll see at the entrance exam. I'll have to remember my training from everyone, Father, Mother, Griffin, and Vertigo. Vertigo trained me to use my quirk, Mother helped with analyzing and critical thinking. Griffin taught me combat experience without using my quirk. Finally, Father taught me how to use everything to be a superhero that's why I was homeschooled. It was boring most of the time, watching other children go to school and have fun while I was stuck training. I wanted to go to U.A because I hear so many great things but my father wants me to go because he said it will sharpen my skills.

"Y/N!!!"

Y/N snapped out of his thoughts seeing the limo stop outside of U.A and Magmar was waiting outside and Y/N followed. Magmar kneeled down and looked at his son, "Remember why you are here...crush the opposition and show no weakness. With everything we taught you there should be no reason why you fail." Magmar was emphasizing that Y/N better pass and he feared he wouldn't hear the end of it if he actually failed. When started running to the UA gate but someone bumped into him and they both fell. Y/N looked ahead as he got back up and he saw a red-haired boy with spiky hair, "My bad I was just in a rush. You must be here for-"

"Y/N!!! GET MOVING!!!" Magmar shouted from the limo, Y/N sighed and walked away as the red-haired boy looked confused. "Whoa was that Magmar? That must be Magmar's son, I wonder what quirk he has? Lava or Steel?" The red-haired boy was distracted by a girl with pink skin, "Come on Kirishima," she ran ahead and Kirishima got up.

"Wait for me Ashido!" Kirishima called running after Ashido,

Several Minutes Later...

In a control room, U.A's staff was watching the exams at action and Principal Nezu just saw one of the students take out the zero-point robot in one hit. All Might clench his fist watching Midoriya use one for all. Aizawa looked at the screen, "Who's that?" Midnight looked at the screen and saw one student rack up to 42 points in one attack.

"According to this, that's Y/N Takahashi. Son to the number 3 hero Magmar," Midnight answered. "It doesn't matter he's being reckless, his lava is going to kill pe-" Snipe commented but Aizawa interrupted Snipe mid-sentence. "Look closer Snipe," Snipe looked closer and saw the lava hardened around people preventing the lava from flowing to them. When Aizawa pointed that out Principal Nezu and the other judges noted that finding that move impressive.

"Interesting, he created a lava flood to destroy the robots but he was aware of the surroundings and he planned his attacks so he didn't burn his classmates. Is attacks were also precision attacks causing no damage to the buildings around him," Principal Nezu noted. All Might sat back seeing how Magmar has trained this boy but when All Might looked at the kid's face he saw the kid looked depressed and tired. Aizawa leaned back seeing the panel of judges were talking about rescue points for the kids that went beyond. Aizawa looked at another screen seeing a boy who couldn't move and a girl puking glitter. Recovery Girl could be seen in the frame and she was healing the injured and Aizawa looked at the results. Third place went to Eijiro Kirishima with 50 points and 10 rescue points, Second place went to Katsuki Bakugo with 77 points but he obtained no rescue points. First place went to Y/N Takahashi with 70 points but he scored 24 rescue points for aiding students at the start and he thought about the other students when he flooded the area.

Y/N was panting and when sweat formed on his skin the sweat disintegrated into steam and his skin was burning. "That was pretty sick," Y/N saw that red-haired kid from before and he was about to put his hand on his shoulder and he backed away. Kirishima looked confused and Y/N rubbed the back of his head, "Sorry, I wouldn't touch me right now. I'm overheated."

"Overheated?" Kirishima questioned,

Ashido noticed Kirishima was talking to that kid from before and she joined them. "Well, It may look like I'm good with my quirk but it's still a learning curve. If I use my quirk too much my skin gets heated and I go into a state called overheat." Kirishima noticed Y/N's skin was turning to normal and Kirishima saw Ashido, "Ashido meet my new friend." Y/N paused hearing that since it's been ages someone called him that. "I can see, he kicked some serious butt out there... wait what was your name?" Ashido just realized she never knew his name and Kirishima's eyes widened just realizing he never asked either. Kirishima's looked at Y/N and bowed up and down, "I'm sorry what was your name?" Ashido and Kirishima looked at each other.

"You told me he was your friend," Ashido argued,

"I did, I just didn't get his name,"

"How is he your friend when you don't know his name?"

"That's not the point Ashido,"

Before they could get another word they heard laughing and they turned their heads to Y/N seeing him laugh. Y/N smiled and it felt weird, "So this is what talking to people is like, well my name is Y/N Takahashi. You can call me by my first name." Ashido smiled and went closer, "Hey Y/N, I'm Mina Ashido, I'm fine with Ashido." Y/N looked at the red-haired and he looked confident, "I'm Eijiro Kirishima, my friends call me Kirishima." Before Y/N could say anything else Present Mic was on, "Congratulations to all students. Thank you for participating and we wish you luck on the applications. Results should be in by next week."

Outside of U.A Highschool

Y/N had his backpack on and he was giddy and excited for once in his life, he interacted with people other than his family and father's friends. "Someone's in a happy mood," Y/N looked ahead and saw Griffin. Griffin looked like a stone gargoyle even though he looked scary he was really friendly. "I have a feeling I did good Griffin and I can't wait to tell father," Y/N paused noticing his father wasn't here. Griffin sighed, "Your father isn't going to be home till late, his agency is busy. That's why I'm here to pick you up." Griffin opened the door and Y/N looked down entering the limo as it was just any other day for him. Vertigo looked at the mirror seeing Y/N sit down, "How was the exam?" Y/N sighed and leaned against the window, "It was alright." Griffin entered the limo and sat beside Vertigo and Griffin looked back, "Hey Y/N since you finished the exam how about we treat you to some-"

"No thanks, I just want to go home." Y/N interrupted Griffin and he rolled up the window inside the limo so Y/N could be alone. Griffin sighed and Vertigo started the limo, "What happened?" Vertigo questioned. Griffin sat back in his seat and sighed, "I'm telling you Vertigo, we've trained that kid since he was 3 years old. I've never seen him smile and today was the only exception, it was weird Vertigo."

"Why does he seem depressed now?" Vertigo asked,

"He thought Magmar was going to be here,"

"Magmar is a hard-working hero and since he's number 3 he needs to manage a lot. Y/N should know that, but Magmar is taking the right steps to make Y/N succeed."

"At what cost Vertigo?" Griffin snapped and Vertigo stopped at the red light and turned his head and glared at Griffin. "Lower your voice the kid is just behind-"

"Don't underestimate him Vertigo, he's old enough to understand things. Magmar needs to acknowledge his-" Griffin paused as his head was pounding and when he looked around everything was spinning. Griffin squinted and looked at Vertigo and saw his eyes glowed purple,

"Cheap trick V-Vertigo..." Griffin was struggling as his body was quaking in pain,

"Katsu Handa, A.K.A Vertigo the Shutdown Hero and his quirk is impulse. Vertigo can look at a person and send impulses into their body and can cause large amounts of pain, his attacks can be devasting but If he uses his quirk too much he gets massive headaches." Present Mic was explaining Vertigo's quirk. Vertigo closed his eyes and Griffin exhaled in pain from Vertigo's quirk.

"I understand where you're coming from Griffin but at the end of the day Magmar saved us and we're forever in his debt. You do recall that right?" Griffin sighed and shook his head knowing what Vertigo was talking about. Vertigo looked at the rearview mirror seeing the window, "I don't underestimate Y/N, he's a tough kid and a damn smart one and I bet my life he's going to be an amazing hero one day." For the rest of the limo ride, they were silent heading back to the Takahashi mansion.

Meanwhile at Magmar's Agency...

Magmar was sitting at his desk and he heard a knock on the door, "It's open." Magmar saw the door opened and it was his sidekick. He saw a girl with long black hair, "Astra why are you here?" Magmar was doing paperwork at his desk. "I was cleaning the office and I found this form you could have sighed," Magmar looked at the paper seeing it was a form of recommendation. Magmar looked at the paper and smirked, "Ah yes Endeavor needed me to photocopy him one because he wanted one for his son Shouto Todoroki."

"I've seen Shouto Todoroki he's strong," Astra commented,

"He is but he's just like his father, he thinks he's strong but he'll get crushed by our family" Astra sighed as she was asked to throw the paper out and she left the office. Astra heard her phone ring and she answered it hearing Griffin on the other end, "Hey Griffin, What's up?" Astra was listening and she laid back. "Glad to hear Y/N tried his best but I don't think I can tell Magmar for you. He's still busy in his office and he's kinda in a mood right now. Endeavor stopped by not too long ago gloating about Todoroki and they had a slight argument on who's child was better." Astra could hear Griffin sigh on the phone, "Those two drive me crazy they act like their kids are objects it makes me feel bad for the kids. Endeavor and Magmar were childhood friends and at the end of the day they are friends but they do love some conflict" Magmar looked at some videos Vertigo recorded of his son and he was taking notes for improvements. "Oh Y/N, If you get into U.A I promise I'm going to turn you into the best hero this world has seen. Even better than All Might himself." Magmar continued to watch videos and take notes so he can create the ultimate superhero.
