Kana's POV

I heard some noise downstairs (F.Y.I. I live in 2nd floor) Another fight I presume. God these people ! Can't they just fight with out making this much noise? I mean my ears are getting sore hearing all these shouting every single day. This doesn't seem like its in the building though. Probably outside. Maybe I should check it out. Just in case .I don't want any of my sisters to be hurt.

" Mrs Chibiki? "

^^^"Yes dear, what's wrong ?"^^^

"Nothing mam, I was wondering what's wrong outside.. Can I assume that it's just a local fight? Are the ladies all right?"

^^^"Don't worry too much dear. Everyone is fine .But it's not a local fight. Some high class man is getting attacked. Don't worry yourself about it "^^^

"Okay Mrs Chibiki "

I hoped out of my bed. I should check it out . I looked out through my window. Sure enough It is a man some high level. I can know that from his posh clothes. Well won't be that posh after he dies. Now I don't want anyone to think that I'm heartless but maybe I am. Afterall I have killed thousands and I won't hesitate to kill more. It's their fate. Why should I change it if I don't even know them?

The guy was trying to run. Oh Wow! don't even know a few defence moves ?It's been a long time since I saw someone like that. I hate weaklings . But I guess I would have been weaker in my past , when I was called Jade. But hey I was sick I would've been better if I had better health.

Maybe I should intervene this time ? I mean he doesn't look that healthy. But if I do ,my cover will be blown .I don't want that yet. Well I shouldn't watch more. I might feel guilty if I see that he's even more weak and needs to be protected.

I heard a knock on my door. Sister Yue came in.

"Why do you bother to knock if you are coming in anyway "

She giggled... She's my best friend here. And we are really close so I really don't care if she comes in the middle of night much less now.

"So what brings you here? "

^^^"Do I need a reason ?"^^^

"No but there is a reason right? "

^^^"Well did you notice the fight outside? "^^^

"Yeah.. "

^^^"well you should go save that man. "^^^

"Why ?!"

^^^"Silly he's the current 2nd prince the one who used to be the first son of the emperor. You were asked to protect him right? "^^^

"Oh boy "

I don't want the last mission assigned to me as a Shinigami warrior to fail just like this. See it was to protect the crown prince and this weakling is the one who used to be the crown prince. I had avoided it so long in order to obey what brother Haru had said .He wanted me to lay low till he returns. But I guess I'll have ask him for forgiveness. Because a warrior of Shinigami should be willing to die to protect the ones assigned.

I grabbed a dull cloak and wrapped it over my bright yellow kimono. And jumped out the window. Hope he's not dead yet. But having to protect such a person is a disgrace for me who led an army of Shinigami warriors at the age of 10. I would've been the great general of the army if they were still alive.

The guy was backed up against a wall. Two dead bodies were lying there .I guess he did have guards . I blended in the crowd and unraveled the ribbons securing the flying daggers.
