Goodbye

I was dragging my luggage and my belongings when I turned to my mother and my sister. They were standing at the door way of our house while looking at me.

"Are all your belongings already there? Are you sure everything is complete there? Is everything okay? Your I.D.? The envelope? The--," She suddenly stopped speaking because her tears were slowly coming out.

"Mom, why are you crying? You're making me cry too!" I said frowning as I looked at her seriously but then I laughed.

"Take care and be careful there, sister, okay? Please make some friends so you won't be lonelyon your stay there." Esther said while holding back her tears but she wasn't able to hold it anymore. She hugged Mom while crying.

I dropped my luggage and hugged them one last time. "You have to be careful here too, Mom and Esther, don't leave mom, okay? Take care of her, got it?" I said while smiling big, I do not want to cry because I do not want to leave while they are seeing tears in my eyes.

"Goodbye, son," Mom said her goodbye while looking at me with her eyes full of tears.

"Goodbye, sister."

I turned my back because if I wouldn't, I don't know if I can still be able to leave. I was hesitant last night if I would go because they might have a hard time here but mom would have a harder time if she's making the two of us study here together. I just hope that they will live happily even without me.

A tricycle stopped in front of me. I loaded my belongings and the rest was carried by Uncle Dani in the back because it did not fit inside anymore.

Uncle Dani started his engine while I looked at my family for the last time until I graduate in LA. They are crying and I also feel like crying too but I showed them my biggest smile to assure them that I will be fine.

This will be the first time that I will be far away from them. This is the first time that we will not going to sleep under the same roof.

"Take care, Esmee! I love you!" Mama said last until the tricycle started working.

"I love you, Mom, Esther!"

I looked away and didn't look at them anymore because my tears started to flow and I can't hold it back anymore.

A mixture of excitement, nervousness, fear, sadness is what I am feeling now while on the way to the bus station. There is someone waiting for all the students to pick them up. I don't know how many of us there are but I can't think of that anymore because I'm really nervous.

I wiped the tears and breathed heavily. I need to be strong for Mom and my sister. I have to do my best.

Is this the beginning of achieving all my dreams? Is this the beginning of achieving all the dreams I thought were impossible? Will I be okay in my stay there? Can I manage to make friends like what Esther had requested? I hope so. Only time will know.

"Here we are." I looked outside when Uncle Dani said that. My beart pounded so fast.

"Thank you." I went down and took my belongings. Uncle Dani also helped me too. While waiting for uncle to remove the rope that is tied to my luggage, a man suddenly approached us.

He is wearing a tuxedo and shades. He is like the man in black I am watching in the movies.

"Are you Ms. Esmeralda Hart?" His question surprised me. How did he know?

"Yes, why?"

"Come with me. We already have a car prepared for you as ordered by the Headmaster of Lunaris Academia."
