Aquila fell into a very, very light slumber. He needed rest, and right now was the best time to do it. But his senses picked something up. Aquila stood up in the moving carriage, listening. Wolves? No, they're people. Aquila looked at the clueless pair sitting down on high alert because of him. Aquila pointed to the forest through the window. They didn't understand what he wanted to say. "You need to go to the bathroom?" Asked the girl. It was too late, they were attacking. Aquila glared at these two idiots. Aquila held his hands out, facing down. He held them like that, gathering his energy. When he heard an arrow shot, he rose his hands up. The carriage was in a metal ball, barely any light besides the small crystal lights. But the arrow made it through before the barrier could close.
The girl looked shocked as she started to cough blood. The boy was in so much shock, he didn't do anything but stare at her. Aquila saw the arrow hit the girl on the side of her stomach, he had to act quickly if he was gonna save her.
He grabbed her, and pushed her down on the seat. She was now laying down, tears streaming down her face. Aquila ripped her shirt where the arrow was. It was poisoned. Aquila could only stop the bleeding, not cure the poison that had already entered her blood stream. Aquila pressed around her wound, when he knew it didn't his anything too important, he ripped it out. The girl screamed in pain, snapped the boy out of his trance. "What are you doing to my sister!?!" Aquila turned around and hit his neck, making him pass out. He caught the boy and gently laid him down.
Aquila went back to the girl. What he was about to do would be incredibly painful for the both, and almost impossible to do right. Because Aquila didn't have a fire root, he needed to use his lightening root to close her wound. It's not as easy as it sounds. When you use your root, your exerting a powerful energy, but Aquila needs to keep that energy force concentrated on his hands, and not to release it on the girl.
Aquila placed his hands on the girls wound. He took a deep breath, then started. The process lasted for a long time, screams of pain came from both of them. Aquila took off his shirt, then wrapped it around the girls wound. Then he slumped down in the foot space.
Aquila's hands were burnt and his skin melted after he was done, but the girls life was safe for now. Aquila kicked the boys face, waking him up.
The boy was angry, ready to kill Aquila, but he calmed down after he understood Aquila was just saving her.
"Poisoned." Aquila whispered in the smallest voice before he lost consciousness from the drain of energy and pain.
