The Room

~Narrator~

*As you know it has been two months and a half since Jake left the closed room. In these episodes we are going to see what happened to each character because of an experience they had that changed their life.*

“SOMEONE HELP ME PLEASE!”

*Jake was scared, he has had some terrible experiences in that room. One day when Jake got in trouble at preschool, his dad took him out of school and he put him in that room for 2 weeks. He didn’t feed the boy and when he got out his dad used to beat him all the time. He is scared of his dad because he feels that his dad has no type of feelings.*

“SOMEONE HELP!” *it was silent*

*Up to this point Jake has been in the room for 2 weeks now. He is kind of skinny because of the lack of blood. When vampires don’t have food for a short time they can lose a lot of weight because they don’t produce enough protein. Jake was hurting and he doesn’t feel good, but he knows that he has to stay strong because he can’t let no one push him down.*

“Someone help.” *he said weakly*

“Shut up, Jake.”

“Dad.”

“Yes, son, it's me I came to see you.”

*It was silent, Jake said nothing.*

“Open up the door.”

*He walked him and he spat on Jake, he grabbed him by his hair and he said to him,* “if you ever do something like that again or worse I will fucking kill you.”

*His father walked out the room and left the door open. Jake got up and he slowly walked out of the room, the lights from the ceiling was blinding him because he had not seen light in two weeks. He made his way into the kitchen and he saw food on the table and he just “run” to the food and he was eating very fast and mess was going everywhere.*

“How is it.”

*Jake stopped and looked up with tears in his eyes.* “I’m sorry.”

“No, no it’s fine I told Jesus to make this for you. I thought you would be hungry after your long day. Now eat up.”

*Jake did eat up, but his father just stared at him and watched him eat the entire time and he didn’t say a word.*

“Jake, tomorrow you will be going back to school, if anyone asks where you have been, tell them you had the flu and couldn’t come to school for two weeks,ok.”

“Yes, father I will.” *He said obediently*

*After Jake was done eating, he went up to his room and saw that everything was left the way he had it. He just laid in bed and dreamed of a life without his family in it. And suddenly he started to cry, he realized that he basically had no one, the brother that he liked was only nice to him because he thought it would be funny. He had no one to depend not even his “friends”. He fell asleep while crying. He woke up the next morning, got dressed, brushed his teeth, and had breakfast. He walked to school all alone because no one know he was coming back, he dared not be late to school because if he were he would be in very big trouble. He got to school on time and everyone was surprised to see him this early. He just sat down and said nothing until the teacher called the roll.*

*Teacher walks into the classroom and begins the name roll, he calls Jake’s name.*

“Here.”

*The teacher looked shocked like someone just gave him a new pair of shoes or something. The weeks went by slow, he was going to school everyday and he was never late. One night he decided to go and hang out with some people he knew. He was at the party and they began playing truth or dare. This time it’s Jake turn.*

“Ok, Jake truth or dare.” *said the girl.*

“Truth.”

“Is it true that your dad would beat you until you bleed.”

“What? Where did you get that from.”

“Doesn’t matter just answer the question.”

“Nevermind I choose dare.”

“You can’t just change your choice.”

“yes , I can because I just did.”

“Omg, you are no fun whatsoever, since you changed your choice you have to do an extreme dare. Are you ready.”

“I’m ready for anything.”

“I dare you to go to the stonewall bridge.” *Everyone was shocked that she asked something like that.*

“But that’s in the werewolf division.”

“I know.”

“Meaning I can’t go there.”

“Yes, you can. A vampire can go into the werewolf division, just like a werewolf can go into the vampires division. It is not against the law, people just rarely do it.”

*After a while he agreed to do it. The arrived at the gate of the division, the police checked Jake to make sure he had nothing on him and he walks in. The last thing he heard was.*

“You have to take a picture, so we can believe you .”

*When Jake made it to the bridge all he could think about was that it was beautiful, you could see the city lights and on the bridge was also pretty lights. Then he heard screaming, he saw two men on the bridge, one on the edge and the other on the ground talking to him. H could see their faces, but they couldn’t see his because he hid before they could see him he only heard a little of the conversation.

“James, I just can’t I don’t know what to do I feel terrible about everything and I don’t want to leave this world but at the same time I do.” *Said Matt

“Yes, you can live in this world, we are only 18 we have our whole lives ahead of us, so why would you choose to die.If you have a death wish go right ahead, I can’t stop you I have been with you since we were little and I know you can’t do it. I know that you want someone to help you off that ledge that you have put yourself in. And I am here to help you. Matt, I love you.” said James

*Jake heard this and he just walked away, he made it back to the car with the rest of the people.*

“So, did you take the picture,” said a random boy.*

“No.”

*Everyone was about to ask why, but they could see the look on his face, the tension in his eyes and they said nothing. Deep down Jake hated them, but he also envied them. They dropped Jake back at home and he just went to sleep.*
