When The Eyes Meet, It's Spark!

I woke up early, My mind keep repeating the scene yesterday. What happened yesterday when Kevin seems jealous with Henry but anything doesn't make sense. Why would he? I mean its not like he officially told me that he likes me or we are in sort of relationship.

I get up and taking bath. Then make myself presentable. Flawless natural make up with peach lipstick for my today persona. The cheerful intelligent lady of the office. I keep maintaining my persona differently to each person. I act accordingly with their character. It's not that I'm a fake person. But it works to build relationships with each of them. I just don't let them know my inner self except that I trust those person so much that I let them to entering my inner self persona.

At 7.45 AM I arrived at the office, I keep myself busy, while my eyes sometimes wandering around the hallway in front of my office. Everyday Kevin will walk through the hallway and sometimes too our eyes will meet stealing some quick glance. When it does, my stomach flutters and my heart pounding so hard.

Lunch time arrive and He's still not coming, I kind of missing him but never want to admit it. I have lunch with my workmates today at the fast food restaurant near the office.

Gina, the purchasing staff keeps us laughing with her funny stories. As the newcomer of the office, I choose my friend carefully. I like Gina with her witty talking and honest opinion. And there's Jane from marketing Dept., She's talkative too but a kind person. We always take lunch together, if I'm not taking lunch with Kevin.

I'm so curious about Kevin whereabouts, so I ask Jane about his boss, "Jane, I didn't see your boss coming today? he's not working or going to customer?"

Jane think for awhile, "If I'm not mistaken, he's taking sick leave. Bad flu he said in our WhatsApp group."

Oh, so he's sick. That's why...

"Your boss quite handsome Jane, you didn't feel anything everyday?" said Gina with playfull smile on her face

"He is handsome, true. But don't be fooled, when he's angry all hell broke loose. He's not so good with anger management, not my type of ideal man." Jane smirk to Gina and gives plenty explanation for me to digest.

I can't believe the gentle Kevin I know this whole time turned out can't control his anger well. So I ask again, "But my 6 months working with him, never I seen him angry?".

Again, Jane seems to be in deep thinking, " Well, if I recall that's maybe true. Oh my God, this 6 months the hell not broke loose. That's why I somehow think He's weird lately. Even when Levi makes some error on contract he's not scolded. I wonder what happened to him???"

Gina answered, "Maybe he overcome his weakness?"

"Hmmm... maybe. A man usually changes when he falls in love. I wonder, because no one knows his love life this whole time." Jane explained again.

We arrived at the office at 13.00 pm exact. Gina and Jane going to their office. I go to the toilet and wash my hand on the wastafel, touch up my makeup. When I walked out from the toilet to the hallway walk steadly fast, I bumped into someone chest.

"Ouch,,, sorry!" I said and looked up to see who I bumped into and froze. My eyes directly looking into his eyes. We didn't say anything for sometime. I feel something spark within my heart. My stomach flutters heavily. I'm surprised to see him coming to the office, yet I'm so happy that I can see him now.

Kevin?!? Didn't he's sick? Why he's in the office right now?

"Hey, Lou. Are you okay?" Kevin seems worried, he's face looked so pale. It seems flu hit him hard.

He's so pale, OMG! Bad Kevin, you need to rest!

"Ahh, hi Kev. No prob it's okay. But I thought you were sick. Jane said you got bad flu since yesterday."

"Yeah kinda! But there're some tasks I need to finish it." He smiled that dazzling crooked smile I love so much to see.

He's being sick, concerns me. Since morning I wondering where he is and now he's in front of me and badly sick, I'm very worried.

"Do you already take the medicine? Have you had lunch yet?" I said and awkwardly put my stranded hair back to its place behind my ear.

"Yes, just now, it's okay. Thanks for your concern Lou, I'm happy you're worried." Kevin grinned.

Huh? What did he say? He's happy I'm worried?

"Well, you need to take a rest. Don't push yourself like this. Look, you got flu this bad." I scolded and put my index finger on his chest unconsciously because he's being stubborn. We need balance in life between work life and personal life.

"Sure, Lou!" Kevin nodded.

"Uhm, I gotta go to my office. Where are you heading?"

"Just looking for you, I thought you maybe in the pantry."

I blinked, "Ohh, what can I help you? Let's go to my office, you need to sit down and rest a bit."
