New Office, New Drama

Since I moved to branch office as the head of Finance last week my work life quite busy. I checked everything from the receivables, payables, financial report & checking all related paper documents, to checking what's the financial base of this branch office. What should I fix and what should I maintain.

What policy should I make so everything will be orderly and under control.

The new branch is the newly established building in the Industrious area which bigger even compare with the head office. Its 2 hectares factory and all glass 5 story building makes me in awe everytime I see it.

I have my own office with 2 subordinates, my friends in this new office so kind and nice. Especially, Kevin, yes he is. The kind of guy whose kindness was like an angel 😁.

Kevin will come to my office almost everyday & everytime he pass through my office. Since our office just a wall away. Beside my office is his office tho.

Today, I need to go to Church. Since its weekly Bible sermon each Friday. I quickly clean up my desk when the bells rang loudly. I cannot be late since Jenny already on her way there.

Jenny is my bff from the head office, she's pretty & fashionable. She's always with me through my ups & down. She will giving me advice and care words when I'm down and she will scold me if I doing something wrong, in her opinion.

I still not taken my driver lessons and driving license yet. I'm scared driving alone. So I chose public transportation better, since of course its cheaper. (Yay, for frugal life!). Why spend more money to buy a car, maintain a car and its insurance when we can take public transportation cheaper than ever? 😅

I grab my bag and my phone also. Hurrying up to the elevator. While walking I met with Kevin halfway, He just going back from production office.

He's surprised to see me hurrying up, "Where are you going, Lou?"

"Duh, since its past office hour its time to going home, Kev!" I said annoyed.

"Wanna have a ride??" he grinned.

Not bad, Kevin! Your smile tho,,,

I think about his offer awhile, "I need a lift to my Church is it okay?". And I informed him where my Church location.

"Sure, I need to wash my car near the area anyway. Wait I pack my things in my office!"

Off Kevin go to his office and back some minutes later to the elevator area where I waiting him. I can't understand why he likes to do good deeds above and beyond expectation. I'm not so ego-inflated to think he likes me. But he's kindness amazed me, who would want to give a ride to a person he knows for a week? Seems insane for me, cause I'm not that kind of person anyway.

He fastened the seatbelt and help me with the seatbelt also. I blushed because of his vicinity, I can smell his perfume with this sudden nearness.

On the road, We talked about my decision to move to branch office and I asked him about his job. We flirted & jokes all the way. I'm not the shy type anyway, I can't shut my mouth and be silent long time. Its driving me insane to think the two of us together in this car and just being silent, duh!.

"I know you back then, Lou!" He started the talk while driving.

Uhm, what? when? Why I'm not remember anything.

I looked at him,"I don't recall you, when is it we met?".

"On Harry's wedding last year. I saw you there, I ask Andrew who is it and Andrew told me about you."

oh my my my...is it romance drama where the male lead asking about the female lead???

"What did he said back then?", I'm so curious what Andrew said.

"Just that you are cheerful and smart, help him a lot with the sales team, but I remember he mentions about fierce and sharp young lady of finance team."

He answered me.

"Well, Andrew sure have the nerve telling about me to random people."

I will smack him later when I meet him.

We arrived at my Church, He dropped me off in the lobby.

"Kev, thanks for the ride. Take care and be careful on the road!".

He gives me his bright smile, that dazzling smile, that radiant smile that emphasize his handsomeness, "You're welcome, you too. Thanks for the thoughtfullness."

What's wrong with me today??? My heart keeps thumping, My stomach fluttering.

So much drama happened this week, I think. That's why strange things happen to me today.
