Battle at the boundary

The five other members of the boundary protectors and me arrive at the boundary in order to support the other members. When we get there, I stop running and stare in awe. "Wow..." I say in shock. The boundary had a rainbow of colors that looked like a rainbow wall. Astral stops and turns to face me before talking.

"What are you doing!? We have to hurry and help the others!" Astral yells. I shake out of my trance and nod with a determined look on my face. We run straight toward the boundary and stop.

"So, how exactly are we supposed to get in there?" I ask.

"We don't go in yet. We have to let Fudan check out the threat levels in there first." Astral says. Fudan looks at Astral in annoyance.

"My name isn't Fudan, it's Koko. Or at least I think it is." Koko scratches her head, puzzled. I sigh and then begin talking.

"Just find out the threat level so we can hurry and help the others." Koko nods her head, looks intensely at the boundary, and then after a few seconds, looks back at us.

"There is a lot of them but they are fairly weak. Sven and the other five are most likely having trouble because of how much there are in there." Koko says. Kimori then speaks up.

"Well let's hurry up and kill those things!" Romann puts a hand on her shoulder and nods his head.

"Wait, I thought you said we are already dead? Wouldn't that mean that these things are already dead too!?" I yell.

"It doesn't matter! I just want to hurt them for attacking our comrades!" Kimori then starts to punch the air like a boxer. Romann then puts his hand on the boundary wall.

"Are you all ready?" Romann says.

"Just hurry up and do it old man!" Kimori says angrily. Romann's hand then starts glowing. I stare in shock. Slowly, a door starts to appear where the boundary wall is.

"How did you do that!?" I ask. Romann then answers.

"Any member of the organization can do it. Now let's go." Romann then opens the door and we step inside. We first see five people fighting shadowy like monsters. The man we saw on the telegram runs up to us.

"Thank god you guys are here! We are having trouble taking down these phantoms! Do you think you all can help!?" Sven asks. He had the sound of a southerner. Crescilia starts to talk.

"Sure thi-" She is cut off by Kimori running into the fight with flames surrounding her body. Me and Sven move out of the way and let out a little scream as she ran past us.

"You phantoms are toast!" Kimori says while throwing her fire everywhere.

"Just like her. C'mon guys. We gotta help out." Romann says. We all run toward the fight. Astral squares up with 15 phantoms, all surrounding him. He lets out a snicker as he begins discharging electricity from his body.

"You phantoms are useless as opponents. Go back to hell!" He then electrifies all of the phantoms around him and blows on his fingers for dramatic effect. "Now, Who's next?" Astral says while running off to fight some more phantoms. Crescilia is also having a bit of a fight on her hands taking on 10 phantoms. She walks up to them smiling.

"Based on your shadowy appearance, you all look strong. Unfortunately though, you are no threat to me." Crescilia then takes out an orb of light from her pocket and it transforms into a long spear. "Now disappear!" She swings her spear twice taking down five phantoms with each swing. "Is that all? I was expecting more based on your appearance." She then runs off to fight some more. I look over to Koko who is having her own troubles. She is surrounded by 6 phantoms. She looked scared but she still was going to fight.

"I-I won't be outdone by the others!" She then takes out an orb of light from her pocket that transforms into two shurikens, one blue, one red. She launches the blue one first and ice comes out of it, freezing the phantoms. She then launches the red one which fire comes out of it and the phantoms evaporate along with the ice. She then walks off nervously to fight some more. Romann stares down 20 phantoms and pulls his sleeves up.

"Let me show you the power of a member of the organization of angels." He then punches each of the phantoms and they all disappear within ten seconds. "I did this for my friends." He then walks off to fight more. I was also surrounded by 5 phantoms. Unfortunately for me, I wasn't like the others who had spirit weapons or powerful elemental abilities. I wasn't even strong. I think about what I could do until I hear someone shout my name.

"Hey newbie! Take this!" Someone I had never seen before threw me an orb of light and I look at it confused. She then shouts out to me again. "Use your energy! Focus it on the orb!" I do as the stranger says and as I do, the orb transforms into a huge scythe. I stare at it, surprised at how easy I was able to make it appear. The stranger then yells at me again. "Don't just stand there! Fight with it!" I do as she says and charge at the phantoms and take them out one by one.

"Phew!" I say wiping sweat off my head. Just once I am done, I hear a gunshot and I look around and see that there are no more phantoms left. I get up and walk over to the rest of them. They are all sitting down chatting amongst themselves. I walk over to the girl who gave me the spirit weapon and lift her up over my shoulder. As we walk over to the others, we have a conversation with each other.

"You're pretty strong for a newbie. Thanks for the help." The girl says.

"I don't know what you are thanking me for since I basically fought using your weapon but you're welcome I guess?" The girl then chuckles to herself.

"You're funny. My name is Angelica. What's yours?" I smile at the girl.

"Uzaki. Nice too meet ya." We both smile at each other as we walk over to the others who greet us with smiles.

"Welcome to the party you two." Says one of the members. He had short blonde hair, wine red eyes, and a bright smile. "Oh, I forgot to introduce myself. I am the fellow party freak, Phillip. And you must be the newbie..." He holds out his arms as if for me to finish his sentence.

"Uzaki?" Phillip walks up to me shaking his head.

"That took way too long. How about your last name?" I ponder his question and come to a strange realization.

"I don't know." Some of the members look at me in surprise except one. He had purple, spiky hair that was put up into a mohawk. He walked up to me with his equally purple eyes.

"This is normal. Most people that first arrive here don't have any memories of their pasts. They regain them in a month or two though so you should be fine. By the way, my name is Orion and out of the organization of angels, I was the second to arrive here." He extends his hand and we exchange a handshake. Another member stands up. He had white hair, black eyes, and had a headband with the organization of angels symbol etched onto it.

"Well, since everyone else is introducing themselves I will too. My name is Inibo. I am known as the heavenly reaper due to my high disappearance, or kill, count." The last member stands up and introduces himself.

"Yo newbie, I'm Draco and if you piss me off, I will destroy you." I take offence to that.

"What the hell did you say to me!?" I get in his face but he doesn't even flinch. Romann jumps in and peels me away from him.

"Calm down! You guys shouldn't say stuff like that here!" I calm myself down. "We should be leaving soon." We all collectively nod our heads. I walk over to Angelica.

"Do you need help still?" I ask. Angelica shakes her head.

"No. I will be fine. Thank you though." She smiles at me and gets up herself. "Let's go Uzaki." She then turns away and we both run toward the others to catch up. We then walk back to the organization together. I thought to myself on the way back about how fun this might be. I may have judged them too early. These guys all have their own quirky and weird personalities. I truly might enjoy being around them. We talk and laugh on the way back, together.
