I opened my eyes to the bright room. The curtains were open and bright sunlight beamed into the room. I sat up, realizing Caius wasn't in the room. I sighed in relief. I got off the bed and headed into the bathroom. I looked in the mirror and saw a black collar around my neck. Why do I have this? I grabbed it and tried to take it off but it didn't budge. I gave up and looked at it closely, it had a red ruby on the middle of it and on the side it had the initials C.R, short for Caius Ravenscroft.
Suddenly their was a knock at the door. I walked out of the bathroom and opened the door. There was a maid outside. "Young master, your breakfast is ready," She spoke in a soothing voice. "You can just call me Cole."
"Ok... Cole," she hesitated. "I'll be down in a minute, just let me get ready." She nodded her head and walked away. I closed the door and went into bathroom. I brushed my teeth and got dressed. I looked in the mirror and saw the dark circles under my eyes. I sighed and splashed some cold water on my face. I wiped the water off with a towel and looked back in the mirror.
I jumped when I saw Caius standing behind me. I turned around quickly. "What are you doing in here?" I asked. More importantly how did he get in here without me noticing. "I just came to say bye, I'll be gone for the rest of today." he gave me a smile, making me nervous under his gaze.
In a panic I asked, "Well, aren't you going to have breakfast first?" Before my mind could process what I just said, he lifted me up and sat me down on the edge of the sink. I was now about the same height as him. Dammit Cole, why did you have to say that.
"Well if you insist," Caius whispered in my ear, making chills go down my spine. I swallowed the lump in my throat and took a deep breath. He tilted my head and I felt him lick my neck before he sunk his teeth in. I hissed at the pain, but tried my best to keep quiet. I started to feel the pleasure, I quickly lifted my hand to my mouth, trying to muffle all the noise I was making.
Finally he took his fangs from my neck. He licked the mark on my neck, getting all the blood. He stood back and I got off the sink. I felt my vision go a bit blurry and I stumbled forward. I felt Caius catch me, and for a moment, everything seemed to disappear.
My mind suddenly went back to the past. "Hey, are you alright?" I heard Caius ask. I came back to my senses and stepped away from him. "Yeah, I-I'm fine," I stuttered, embarrassed.
He looked at me weirdly, before walking out of the bathroom. I took a deep breath and followed after him. "Oh and also, do not take that collar off," he said sternly. "Why," I asked. He gave me a glare and I shut my mouth, "Ok, m-master," he nodded at me with a satisfied smirk on his face.
He left the room and I followed after him. "I'm leaving now, so behave, and the maid will bring you a list of chores to do." I nodded my head, and he walked closer to me. I flinched when he grabbed my head and pulled me forward. He gave me a small kiss on my forehead and let go. I still stood there, shocked. Once he had left I was finally able to move.
I ran my hand through my auburn hair, trying to understand what was happening. "Ah, I don't know." I let my hand fall to my side and walked to the kitchen which was shown to me by another maid. I walked in and the maid from earlier was there. "Here is your food, Cole." I nodded to her and sat down, placing my food on the table. I grabbed the fork and started eating the eggs. My mind drifted away and back to the past.
Flashback
"Cole!" A voice called from behind me. I turned around to see my friend Adrian. "Hey A-Adrian! What's the rush?" I asked. "Nothing, just wanted to say hi, but also do you want to hang out at my house," Adrian said with a big smile on his face. "Sure, let me j-just tell my mom," I smiled but tried not to look to excited. I was extremely happy and had butterflies in my stomach. I had feelings for Adrian for a while, but I was too afraid to tell him, we were friends and I didn't want to ruin that.
After I spoke to my mom we walked to Adrian's house. It was a two story house and was beautiful. We walked in and were greeted by Adrian's mom and then went upstairs to his bedroom. We watched some movies, ate a bunch of junk food and just hung out. By that time the sun had gone down and we were playing video games. I sat on the bed watching the screen. Adrian only had one controller so we took turns. I groaned at the pain in my back for sitting too long. I laid down on Aiden's bed with a sigh. I looked towards Aiden, his eyebrows were furrowed with a look of concentration in his eyes. The flash of color from the TV reflected on his eyes and face in the dark room.
I couldn't take my eyes off him, he was so beautiful, with eyes the color of gold. A werewolf, that's what he was. A smile formed on my lips as I watched his plump lips turn into a thin line as he leaned forward, more consumed in the game without a clue that I was staring. Then suddenly he groaned and dropped the controlled on the floor. I looked at the screen and saw his character was dead. I laughed lightly at his defeated posture. He got off the bed and sat down next to me. I sat up, contemplating if I should tell him my deepest secret. I took a deep breath and decided it was time. We've been friends for almost three years.
"Hey A-Adrian, can I t-t-tell you something." My voice shook as I spoke, and my stuttering got worse. "Sure, what's up," Adrian said, looking away from the phone in his hands. I clenched my fists, building up the courage. I took a deep breathe and stared in his golden eyes before speaking. "A-Adrian, I like you."
